Steve, I probably told you this before, but Stone Coat Countertops sell several types of resin. I love the Art Coat Resin. It is thicker to Hold the shape better. Extremely high in UV protection, heat resistant, scratch resistant and more. I warm it if I want it thinner, but for this its perfect. Stone Coat also makes deep pour resins for art, pyramids, and river tables etc. They got their start in countertops, making old kitchens look new with the look like Stone, geode etc. I love their products. The Craft Coat is for jewelry or under layers for things then top with Art Coat. They also have a wonderful product called UTC, (Ultimate Top Coat.) It comes in Matt and Glossy. You roll a thin layer on and it is scratch proof, burn proof, food grade, even more UV resistance, and much more. It makes a table top or counter family proof and wear resistant for decades. I love their products, along with their pastes, glitters, angel dust, spray paints, everything ro remodel your kitchen with resin and down to all things art. Check them out on TH-cam. Watch Mike and his brother Matt transform kitchens, bathrooms, showers, table tops, surfboards, and more. Check out Rhonda Drakulas with RK3 do same, plus charcuterie boards, and more. Marcy from Mixed Media Girl does all things art like you, and uses Stone Coat products with her company's name on them. No VOC's or odors, long working time, about 45 to 60 minutes or more depending on the product. One spray paint for the marbled effect looks like silly string, you would giggle using it. Give the Art Coat a try!! It may keep the alcohol inks colorful longer!

That bowl is amazing! I have been wanting to make bowls, but wasn't sure how. I'm so glad I found this! I have a deburring tool also. I have a little bit of trouble controlling it sometimes, though. I end up going a bit too deep in spots. I guess it just takes some practice.

If you add a small stripe of clear between each color and then wiggle the edge where the color and clear meet with a skewer you get a very subtle blend. Pretty done in concentric circles inside circles with clear in between colors. I also like defined edges. I found a small child’s hula hoop and also a 24 inch brass ring used for macrame under your bottom plastic or silicone sheet will give round edges. Narrow rubber tubing can be used for a more free form shape. Also, I found some small silicone beakers on Amazon that allow for a more controlled pour. Not as good for large amounts (they get a little wobbly) but for small areas where you want to fill a shape or outline a color they’re great. The thrift store is a great place to find new and different shapes to form over. I loved the video and am dying to try the epoxy but I live in the US. Please let all of us know when it comes to a new area. You videos are so much fun. They always make me drop what I’m doing and get into the studio. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Steve I LOVE, LOVE LOVE , this video. Making freeform bowls and Sculpture's are my favorites. I'm not sure how you were able to touch the resin and form it so beautifully? Every time I have made one the resin is sticky or if I wait too long it won't bend for me. Is the secret in the resin itself? I live your bowl, it's gorgeous! I hope your friend enjoys it

I am new to artistic endeavors. I made a resin pour with a photo in a mold. Made the mistake of sanding a portion of the finished product. Thinking no problem, I’ll just do a light sand to insure a fresh resin pour will adhere. However, the already cured product dried or cured with a slight bow so that it is no longer level. My question is how to reapply fresh resin to the already cured portion? Can I brush the new resin topping? Thanks for your help.

Your links for "Torch" are for a blow torch, not a UV torch. A slip up, I think?
Do you have links for the UV torch you use, please? (I'm in the UK, but checked (randomly) the Canadian link too, as Amazon links can easily be changed for a different country, just by changing the country-specific part of the URL.)
