This video shows why alot of drivers cannot manage a delivery in New York. I have to say that that was truly amazing driving skills. I have watched many trucking videos but this video shows pride and skill and is the number one hardest backing up video on you tube. Keep the video coming. And thanks for sharing your world of trucking

Honestly all trucksmanship aside I really appreciate the way you formatted your video. You gave the meat and potatoes that the people arrived at the video for within 1:15, no gimmicks, sponsors or outright clickbait at all. Then, proceeded to provide the rest with no unnecessary music overlay. Other commenters have covered your personal skill and excellence in your trucking abilities and demeanor, I just wanted to say I hope your example in content creation and format is one others follow.
I've been driving 20 years and you did an amazing job getting in there, with all the pressure that was being put on you, from the cop, to people honking, to the crew pushing you. I know some of the best drivers out here, and they all say you did great as well, they also said you should have told to take a flying leap, but you hung in there the same as I would have, because we take failing personal.
As a former truck driver, Awesome job my friend , I had some pretty tough back ups myself, so I know the feeling, trying stay professional and keeping your Cool, with all of the distractions from the guys, good job 👍🏾
I don't know how you could handle that guy coming up to the cab, I would have went off at him lol. It's bad enough when you've got 10 people telling you 10 different things when you're reversing, let alone some random person being aggressive like that. You did well though man, sometimes you've gotta zone out from the people guiding you until you're about to hit something even if they get annoyed. I'm so glad I stopped doing building site work, this brought back all kinds of PTSD 😂
When other truckers think flatbedder can’t back I’ll send em to this video. This is masterful work sir! Blindsiding in a burrough with that amount of setup space is crazy!! Then the rest was simply ridiculous. You are a master sir!
This is my childhood neighborhood I grew up in. You did a great job backing that truck in. The true meaning of a professional truck driver. Great job!!!
Bro, you had me at TRACTOR TRAILER BACK and NY. Boss-level skills! I've heard of drivers using drones to help with blind-spot backing in situations like this. They can see their ENTIRE truck, pedestrians, passenger cars, etc. To all the "spotters": this driver knows his limits. All he needs from you is whether or not he's ALL CLEAR to make his moves.
I always used to love it when people would tell me how to drive my truck. Sometimes I would just hop out and wave them into the cab and ask them to show me how its done. Never had anyone take me up on it though. Nice job mate in a tight situation. Like how they left the trash bin there for you, really considerate of them.🤣
I’ve had the opposite experience driving tow truck. Some guys can’t back up to save their lives, even in a straight line with nothing to hit. I’ve offered to back their truck up after I got them unstuck and they practically leapt out of the drivers seat. No idea how they passed a road test. Must just pull into a yard and drop the trailer and the shunt truck takes it from there.
Well… Now I know why the vast majority of carriers refuse to go to NYC/Long Island. But anyways, BRO, that was absolutely amazing what you accomplished there under so much pressure. Thank Christ you had a bunch of guys there spotting you. Nobody could’ve done that alone without spotters. Borderline superhuman what you did there.
I have never driven truck, so I don't have any relatable experience, but I think you did one fantastic job. The job site frankly should have set it up for them to offload you at another location and put the material on a smaller truck, but you are exactly correct that they are just trying to be cheap. You are a credit to all of the professional truck drivers out there. Stay safe.
Good job, I'm a long time Heavy Haul/Oversize guy, places like that are a fact of life, some of the places I've had to get into with a 4 axle tractor and 4 axle lowboy still give me nightmares, but fortunately I've never hit anything or never refused to deliver. Seems like there's always some idiot offering their 2 cents, I've always been pretty decent about not going off on anybody, but there have been a few times I've just said "STFU and get the F outa my way". Not a good look, but I felt better afterwards, lol. Stay safe and keep on keeping on.
I started in a lowboy as well so I can relate for sure! And yes man I can't stand people and their opinions when they have no idea. And I couldn't agree more definitely makes you feel better! I'll do my best and you do the same driver! Keep on trucking!!!
You SHOT THAT AT A HIGH TECH LEVEL and NOBODY can take that away from you..... Absolutely phenomenal job brother and too have your buddy right there next to you the whole time in the cab of that truck having your back makes that whole situation that much more special.... Keep on truckin' and stay safe out there.
I will reaffirm what all of the other commenters have voiced. Your skill was absolutely extraordinary. You kept your cool under extremely trying circumstances. Why the detective had to intervene instead of offering a hand is a mystery to me. Drove for 40 years and never ceased to be surprised by how many people, including those receiving the material, rarely understood a tractor trailer needs lots and lots of room, especially a 53 footer with a sleeper and a long nose. They could have moved both the dumpster and the orange barrier on the sidewalk sooner than they did, the skateboarder who darted behind you should have waited and beware of customers who say, "We get big trucks here all the time". They are frequently unaware of differences in trailer lengths and wheel bases. Had the feeling your power steering pump was hurting, judging by the sound. Take a bow for doing about the best urban backing I've had the pleasure to witness. Kudos. Trucker tip: I found, after having endured particularly difficult experiences like yours, it helped me calm down a little if I struck up a conversation with someone-anyone about a topic unrelated to trucks. Sounds silly but it diverted attention away from my own aggravation. Try it. Take care.
My hat is completely off to you bro! That was the most insane backup I have EVER seen. I work in construction and most drivers would have refused that backup, and rightfully so. The construction company should have made arrangements to unload from the street! Great job!
I currently drive an f450 w/ a 40ft gooseneck we use to deliver trusses with and I can feel some of that stress with these construction sites. Large home developments with small roads and sharp turns not meant for trucks plus dozens of trucks and other things parked in the road and some. I have been getting a lot of steps in checking sites out before driving down a road to get stuck for who knows how long. Good Job, I had to watch that all the way through. I love that pulling back out forward is at least less stressful than the backin was usually. haha
Buddy my clutch leg was trembling just watching. Hats off to ya for getting in there. I'm just like you as I was watching I kept thinking,it's gonna suck getting out. I've been in those positions many time in my 38 years of driving. You did it right
Excellent video and job getting in. I don't understand how that building will ever get finished if they expect trailers to get in there all the time. Your side shots once again are perfect, so much so that I could feel your pain. Thanks for the great video.
I really appreciate that and I totally agree. They said they have another entrance that was blocked that day but should re open and hopefully it does because that spot is terrible. And I appreciate that and need that feedback! Thank you for watching I'm glad I could bring you something good to watch!

Absolutely amazing feat of truck driving. You should be proud of your abilities, and to come out of that virtually unscathed and didn’t even break a sweat is crazy. Great job!
That was a stressful situation. Salute to you man by having the patience and keep your composure together. The fact that you was doubting yourself at first sight to actually doing something unbelievable is outstanding especially in NY. Good Shit
I love the guys waving and "helping" us back up. Sitting there with no stress being like hurry hurry, and they have no idea how a trailer pivots or the amount of room needed to get under the trailer. Nice job
That’s what I thought as well. All that dude sees is the trailer is straight and lined up and wants him to keep going but doesn’t understand he needs to straighten the tractor out otherwise it won’t be straight for very long. That annoyed me watching him wave like that.
I was just thinking that! The forklift drivers and construction workers always want to start waving their hands and turning them telling us which way to turn the wheel. Like bro…stop…you don’t even have a CDL. Don’t tell me what to do. Just tell me where to stop at.
MUCH RESPECT!! I was STRESSED the fuck out just watching this video.. can't imagine actually attempting something of that difficulty. Straight BOSS level right here. Love your demeanor and attitude and ability to stay calm under obviously stressful situations. Great job!
I drive a truck and a 16x5 enclosed trailer. I will never be stressed about any type of reverse maneuver. If a cop was screaming at me from the beginning I probably would have just sat there and thought for a few mins. This guy is a beast.
Good job driver! I drove over the road back in the 70s and often found myself in situations like you were in here. Everywhere I looked in your mirrors there were people giving hand signals, and probably not a one of them has ever driven a truck as big as yours. Unless someone has ever done it they cannot imagine the stress you were under.. I cut my teeth on city streets in Boston, NYC, even cobblestone streets in Philly that were designed for horses and carriages. However, I had the slight advantage of a cabover tractor. Keep the shiny side up, and between the ditches!
I take my hat off to your skills as a driver and most for your patience, dedication and education dealing with all those obstacles! Congratulations, you're absolutely a exemplar worker!

I don’t drive a truck but I do pull trailers 24/7 and that was incredibly impressive. Guys like you that make shit happen are what keeps this country moving forward on a daily basis. Thank you for all that you do. God bless🫡
I agree 100% and thank you that really means a lot! I will do my best!!
Brother, my deepest respect. I used to drive a smaller truck in NYC and I felt stressed. I can't imagine me trying what you did.
99% of people wont ever know just how difficult what you just did was. My hat is off to you bro, amazing job, and inspiring! Thats a big 10-4 good buddy, when the bears come out the woods looking for a picnic it's best just to leave em hungry!
The way you handle this whole situation. You sir are a real driver. Much respect!
Dude truck drivers like you are rare. I’ve been driving 10 years. I felt the stress watching your video. I hope you make the best pay for your skills
Well done; you just put yourself in a new price bracket. There aren’t a lot of drivers these days that can stuff that one
It was tough for sure! And I couldn't agree more. I love that you understand and hahahahaha I can only imagine re living those bad memories hahah
Your co-pilot was calm and collected, and that helps!!
Just developed a whole new level of respect for truck drivers. Wow! Respect
This is great! I love how as soon as the old cop yells at you, the truck goes into an incredibly loud high idle, making it impossible for him to talk
I do this all the time in DC, delivering large construction equipment. It’s tonight, and my hats off to this driver.
What makes a good trucker is not only the driving but also the planning and timing. Kudos to you sir
Been there done that Wall street lower Manhattan with a 53' dry van with rubber flooring. They made me sit 3 hours because I'm not union to unload me.
This man has skills beyond expectations he's on a whole other level. Nothing but RESPECT for this guy.👍🏻
Good. Job. Respect. You. Pàt on the. Back. Keep up the good work
You pushed yourself to the limit. And you conquered the impossible! You kept your wits together and thats what counts. You did a phenomenal job!!
Stay safe.
Absolute savage of a driver! Mad respect for what you do. This makes me miss NY
Your the backwards man the backwards man you can go backwards as fast as they can
You SHOT THAT AT A HIGH TECH LEVEL and NOBODY can take that away from you..... Absolutely phenomenal job brother and too have your buddy right there next to you the whole time in the cab of that truck having your back makes that whole situation that much more special.... Keep on truckin' and stay safe out there.
Never thought I'd see someone use that phrase outside of jail
Notice the cop's badge number is 1776? Acts like he's still in the time period.
Hahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He should be walkin the BEAT with a baton. Couldnt believe when he HIT the door like that.... EXCUSE ME? PIGGY SMalls
You are a pro my friend ,you just did not give up,good for you. 😎🇨🇦
I bet NYPD would love to investigate this impersonating a police officer. Not!
Great job!
You earned your $$$ on that job
Damm that was tight. The camera doesn’t show justice to how tight it really was
Nicely done
I agree! Thank you I really appreciate that!
next time let big daddy push it back inside!
I don’t think any of those turban cowboys could’ve done what he did.
Done alot of trucking in the city, never could have done that. I always like to challenge myself but wouldn't done that. Dude you are the man, hats off to you, strong work.
So what? Lol “hey boss I brought the load back bc I can’t drive… yknow? What I was hired to do?” Lmao. Scrub
After the fact tho, when you get into something really tight & you take a look & reflect on what you just went thru is an AWESOME feeling
WOW, this is why I'm not a truck driver, being in a situation like is what separates a true pro from the rest of us, the skill and patients you have is unbelievable, Great job. I would have not been able to do this. impressive. and your right, they should have used 2 or 3 smaller trucks for this, it's insane. but you made it. that says a lot
Here I am struggling to back my 30’ travel trailer at times ha. Great job. Stressed me out just watching you drive through NYC traffic. I’ve been there twice and the traffic is something else.
That was some amazing backing up, AND going forward! I backed in trucks for over 30 years at a factory, my experience isn't even in the same universe with what you just did.
He did a great job. Even with the nypd being a dick
Very nice driving skills. Hats off to you and the crew that was helping you. They actually were giving you the correct directions.
I have been OTR since 2006 and have gotten into some tight spots, nothing compares to what you did.
I was about to have an anxiety attack watching you. Lol. Well done sir.
Love how those whom "can't" assume we can't, after all it's what we do for a living! Loved this! Your the man!
Who
absolute masterpiece of a back up man. i know a part of you loved it though, take away the stress of holding up traffic and damaging your truck and all that shit backing up in difficult spots is always a pretty fun challenge.
You did a fantastic job. I have been trucking 28+ years and I know your feeling. I did oversized for many years. You are in the top 1%
Good to see professionals doing their job. Shame some "professionals" don't stay in their lane of expertise. Nice work.
Brother this was amazing! Well done and thanks for sharing with us! I got goosebumps when you started leaving and blew the horn at them and they did it back, y’all were in it together 👌🏽👏🏽 shout out to all of yall!
Thank you! I really appreciate that! I couldn't agree more it's always a team effort!!!!
Been driving 45 years and always amazed how some of the guys even get a cdl..
Good to see someone that has true driving skills..
The Lab in the sleeper was so cool. Dogs can bring humanity back to an intense situation. Glad this driver had laborers that assisted him. What a great video. This driver has skill as a therapist in his future. Must have had great parents.
Beautiful comment; the driver deserves it. However, I would swear we were seeing an Irish Setter. 😉
Agree! Both he & his beautiful lab are real cool cucumbers!!
@@powerdude4e 🙂 They are beautiful and well tempered animals as well!! 🐕🦺 love them both!
My heart was pounding, just washing how tight the streets were, the traffic, the uncertainty of some workers watching you, plus that police officer screaming in your face. Then how tight the driveway was you had to back into. You a gold medal. 🏅
That was incredible driving, I’ve seen a lot of competition driving and you are right among the best.
As for the cop, I’m sure he wouldn’t give up that easy chasing a bad guy, so I don’t know why he figured you would give up that easy. Nice driving!!
I wish I could drive a rig with that type of professionalism.
This is what separates the drivers in these trucks from steering wheel holders in automatic Volvos. Nice work!
Unbelievable skills, backed up a 25' boat and thought I have gotten into some tight spaces, but that was amazing. Hats off to you
You've got skills. Many thanks go out to all your traffic directors too!!
As a retired OTR driver I prided myself on my backing ability. Great job.
If you're a otr driver and can back properly you are one of few, I'm retired now but drove my whole life and many a times I would have to dock a rig for otr drivers..
Mad respect I started cheering immediately once I started seeing that truck going down the road. My man's got the skills!!! 😎
I’m a driver, and I had anxiety, just watching you, well done brother!
You did a unbelievable job, I probably would've ended up punching someone but you stayed cool and did the almost impossible for most drivers.
That's why jackasses who can't keep their cool SHOULD NOT be driving ANYTHING!
Been driving for decades and you have to call it sometimes. Your equipment, your life and safety. There's nothing wrong with saying no.
I couldn't agree with you more! On this back in I felt it more than ever! For the videos sake I'm glad I did it, but at the moment I really wanted to reject the thought. But if it were any worse I would bail for sure
Like un hook the trailer and get a fork lift & lift up trailer and then drive trailer in. Ha!
I drove a truck in DC for two years! There were times I’d have to pull over and collect myself. Some cities aren’t made for bigger trucks.
YT's algorithm popped up, suggesting this video. I'm not a trucker myself, but I come from a family of truckers, so I can appreciate that the insanely awesome skills that you showed off here!! Major Kudos to you!! I'm betting that companies specifically ask for you by name, and that you are in extremely high demand!
I give you the most respect man. Flatbed backing is a different beast. Especially if you don’t have a dump valve. The amount of tension I had watching this…. I felt like I was doing it because I know the feeling.
I typically never write a comment but I've been truckin for 9 months but I just found your channel last week and I hope you keep pumping out videos! Your videos are so awesome and you don't get to typically see super tough streets/backs on youtube so it's helpful to watch as I improve myself.
You are a real professional my man I drove 8 years of my early 20s and I’ve experienced these situations before. Respect 💪🏿💪🏿
Dude I couldn't possibly imagine doing that. You are an absolute beast of a driver man.
I take my hat off to your skills as a driver and most for your patience, dedication and education dealing with all those obstacles! Congratulations, you're absolutely a exemplar worker!
