It’s interesting how calm you stay in that traffic. You see a lot of other truckers cussing and being dramatic at people not letting them in and stuff but you seem to keep calm. You definitely make it look easy.
I really appreciate that! I have just dealt with enough over the years that there's no point. Rushing and getting worked up just let's mistakes be made. I get done when I get done and it is what it is. There's a level of ignorance on the road I won't tolerate and I try to avoid it when I can or do something about it when I can but otherwise if there's nothing I can do just keep on trucking!
I used to run into the five Burroughs quite a bit and Long Island. It's a totally different way of driving a big truck. You pretty much have to bully your way but no one gets pissed.
@@Only4Trucks sheesh I wish i could keep calm like you my job is similar;boss sends me in tight neighborhoods and busy cities like these.
But I'm new driver 1 year and 3 months so I'm highly aggressive my tolerance is going to take time when I get to the amount of experience you have.
I just have rookie driver season overemotional syndrome.
I told my boss my first year first 3 week told him I'm quitting 5 times.
But I told myself gotta keep in this hell fight. So I'm still here 1 year and 3 months later but he's upgrading me to EVEN tougher areas
I'm like I should of quit the first time I said I would; f&ck man it's hard!!!
But with all that being said you inspire me brother that you been in my situation when you were new and now you like a veteran in this game much respect my man
I definitely subscribed to channel keep trucking 🚚
WHEELIN AND DEALIN BABY! I could watch this all day
That's so awesome! Thank you that means a lot to me!
You were cut out to be a driver. A good driver. Excellent maneuvering in the big Apple. I felt I was in the cab the whole time as I was looking at the sights. I've watched several of your videos. Professional, calm with a good rig. Big cam sounds good. Keep on rolling safely.
I really appreciate that! Luckily my dad taught me everything I needed to know to get me where I am! I agree the truck sounds good and I'll do my best! You do the same man!
Wow! A Ford semi-tractor! Classic! 😂😊
Yes!
Your driving skill’s say it all keep putting out the great content 🇺🇸
Thank you! That means a lot to me! I'll be doing my best! You have a great name too my friend!
Awesome intro! Paying homage to the great Convoy, put a huge smile on my face
Thank you!!!! I really appreciate that!!! Convoy is my favorite of all time!
Dude you make that New York traffic look easy! Steam whistle is cool.😅
Thank you! I really appreciate it and I love the whistle too! Hahah
The camera angles are great, and seeing the construction site and unloading is very interesting, especially in Manhattan. Also, the side angle view like at 8:18 is fun to watch. The detail you added to this video makes it better and makes me look forward to your next video. I'm 79 but worked commercial construction in my younger days, so seeing the details of your work is exciting.
Thank you! I am glad you enjoy seeing the sites as I want to give you guys more of that. I thought that angle of the trailer would be good! Thank you for that and I'm glad I could keep you excited for the next video that's awesome!!! I'm really glad your enjoying the channel! Thank you for watching!
"Big Apple Thunder" should be a part of your merch!!!! You roll through the chaos and congestion like it is second nature. It reminnds me of the movie from the 70's with Jan Michael-Vincent called "Blue Mule". Stay Blessed and Keep Bringin' the Thunder!!
I really appreciate that and I'm gonna have to watch that movie! I'll do my best to keep the thunder coming and I love that idea for merch!
@@Only4Trucks a bumper sticker or tshirt with an apple wearing a smirk on its face sticking its head out of the window of one of your ford trucks. I am sorry to bother you. You inspired me Big Apple Thunder. God Bless and be well sir.
Great horn in the tunnel , cool seeing you shift & out the window through the city.
Thank you! And I appreciate that and glad you enjoyed watching!
The mighty LTL sounds so good.
Thank you!
Love how much you thoroughly enjoy driving that rig
Tunnel klip w/ the train horn went krazy 💫
Absolutely!!!
Man you got nerves of steel !!
Thank you!
We have same traffic issues trying to navigate big rigs around downtown Chicago referred to as the Chicago loop it takes extreme patience that only comes with experience & frustration & sweating I love the shifting that is always what I live for At the end of the day you deserve an ice Cold Hamms Beer born in the land of Sky Blue Waters
I hear that man! And thank you! I love that you enjoy the shifting! I really appreciate your comment!
18:10 you are a hundred percent correct it works like a zipper. But everyone is in such a rush and causes more problems with traffic
Yesss!!! People are so dumb lol
I tense up watching you maneuver through all that traffic, you handle it well! Love the videos be safe out there!
Lol I really appreciate that! Thank you! I'll do my best and you do the same!
love the way u handle that truck brother, sounds amazing.
Thank you! I appreciate that!!
You deserve some recognition man.🥇
Wow that really means a lot! Thank you
Love the old LTL's, First truck I drove was a CLT 9000. What amazes me is we still see lots of those old early 80's trucks running around doing work and think nothing of it but had we seen a 1940's truck on the job sight in the 1980's we would have freaked out. The worlds changed so much in all this time. Stay safe. Cheers from PEI Canada.
That's awesome! Thank you for watching!
Difficult enough walking in NYC let alone maneuvering a massive rig LOL. What great skill. Well done bro.
holy hell! coming from a small town upbringing i don't think i could hardly drive a car in NYC, let alone a full semi truck & trailer! ya got some skills man! ya stay calm while doing it too.
I really appreciate that! Thank you for that and thank you for watching! I wouldn't mind a small town upbringing though lol
You have me beat I get anxious just watching you drive in NY hats off man
Good old NYC do not miss it one bit.
I hear that!
Hey hey, haven’t been on here to check out your videos I’ve been super busy with work and family b it OOOMAGAAAWD I looove this truck!! The sound oomg. My father had a 1989 ford L9000 1987 blue it was a tractor trailer 27 foot trailer end dump which split in the middle when dumping. Super cool!! It was good to watch and remember my time in the blue ford. Best truck I’ve ever been in 😁💖👍👍
It's all good family always comes first! And you have to work but thank you!! I appreciate that and that's awesome your old man had some fords! That's awesome you got to spend time in it too!
Awesome video 👍👍👍
Thank you!!!
You will see a lot more Fans popping up time to time as you grow your channel. Glad you are enjoy the loud city life and hell of mess of traffic LoL. Don't hang in the bus lane to long, you get tickets from over head cameras above.
If you had the murderous jake-brake on the Ford LTE9000, people will know you are their. People seem to no pay attention. Still you are driving that truck like its nothing. No jakes just brings you back to the old days when they don't have the jakes put in. That train horn. 💯
I like the first camera mic sound, its sound more clearer then the second one at 14:30. I take it the battery died?
Straight pipe in the tunnel sound is meaty (in a good way for the sound), sound so good. But safe driving in the city.
I couldn't imagine and I do hope it happens. And I really appreciate that! I try to remain comfortable but always humble. I appreciate you noticing the audio I'm still gonna continue working on making it better. And yea the battery died unfortunately. I appreciate that and you stay safe too!
Pulled container deliveries into there several times and even drove cab in the city for a bit. Crazy place I don’t really miss.
I won't miss it hahaha
Great meeting you! Looking forward to the next video.
My pleasure! I'll actually be out there again tomorrow 3-16 from 7-10am 😂
@@Only4Trucks looks like my comment didn't go through the first time... Welcome back! Saw the truck tucked away in the job site but had to run up to work. Let me know if you'll be back again. Btw we're going to be posting from Philly this weekend -- let us know if you have any hoagie spots we need to hit.
@@ManicAmerican nice! Insure will, and ok let me think a little and see if I can give you a worthy spot
Hats off to you Driver , I do Super Loads and I don't think I could do your Job .... Kutgw !!!!
Wow! Thank you I really appreciate that!
In the city you got to drive aggressive but safe love that Ford
Absolutely! You have to!!!
“It makes cool noises”🤣 love the camera set up u used can’t wait for more
Hahahahahah thank you! I love that you commented that! I crack myself up with that line hahahahah and I'll be using that angle and plenty more to come!
Keep em comming !!!! :)
I will do my best! Thank you
9:03 - Common GPS issue - I'm considering using a marine GPS speedometer for a vintage car and learned any urban areas with taller buildings will conflict with its accuracy. Anyway, just found the channel, love the content, love the old school truck.
The big differences between many drivers is where they started. I started in NJ just outside of NYC. I was delivering to many places using a 48 & sometimes a 53. Once in a while we used the roof crane. Pull off the Sonotubes, toss em onto the ground ontop of some straps. Up,up and away! I delivered all the stainless steel kitchen equipment to the Hard Rock Cafe when it opened up. There were only two in the country at that point. Yes! It was a while ago! Thinking I was 26-27 year's old. I'm 62 now. All day job. Dry van. Everything outta the back door and inside.
I agree 100% wow that's some really cool history! I started moving equipment in Philadelphia and it taught me a lot!
Appreciate your videos.
Natural born truck driver if ever there was one!
NO WAY IN HELL! That I could deal with that.
Drove off and on from 1970 to'99, stayed West of the Big Muddy except for once and that was enough.
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that! And that's awesome 70-99 wow!!!!
Hell yeah my brother lives in Manhattan I call it the armpit of the WORLD!!!! Appreciate ya sharing any chance we can hear them horns driv,ah?
Hahahahah dude it definitely is! And oh yea! I'll have to get into the horns in the next video!
@@Only4Trucks thanks driv,ah. Actually thinking about moving there haven't seen my brother in 16 years
That was super dope meeting that subscriber. Audio was on point brotha. Lookin forward to tha next one. Stay safe.
It really was! And thank you! You and I both thank you! You do the same!
8:30 Hell yeah, bad ass man! Chingon
19:50 yo that train horn is sick haha your a beast bro
I think that was a non- union job on 43rd &5th Ave. I walk by it every day and I’ve seen people protesting it.
Yes! I was there when they were protesting lol believe it was the electricians
i don't know how you do it man, i hate driving a big rig through tight traffic like that, looks like the tunnel had a lot of bumps because the camera was shaking pretty bad. good job as always and looking forward to the next video
I really appreciate that! Sometimes I question how I keep my head on straight hahaha I'm just as excited as you! Thank you for watching
I was working up there back in early 80's and had to send steel back cause it was bent, back then all rebar was bent on the job, dowels, stirrups etc:
Wow lol go figure
Man, I love that Ford LTL 9000 and the engine sounds sweet. You be safe on those tight roads!! God bless!!
Must be very stressful to drive in the city + your truck have so awesome sound 😊✌️
It is at times and I appreciate that!
Man you’re awesome. Much love from a newer trucker, got about 2.5 years under my belt over the road and loving it. You’re an inspiration brother keep it up!
You missed the boat. You are late. Trucking is in a chaotic mess. The tractors are ugly and the drivers belong in an insane asylum
Wow going through the Lincoln tunnel as Neil Diamond sings what a beautiful noise.
Hahaha wow! Thank you!
Yo. I was cracking up when you were going through manhattan. People just don’t give two shits in the city especially in manhattan. You know when you come over the pike to NYC you gotta flip that I don’t give a shit switch on and start on your A game. At least it’s a 40’ trailer but you still have the tractor with sleeper to contend with. The tunnel is always fun with straights and a great Jake. Always get looks and gestures. Screw em. Can’t wait for R model to be done. Good stuff man. Stay safe
Seriously man they suck! And I couldn't agree more man the shorter trailer helps. The tunnel is a blast haha and I'm just as excited for the R model!!! It's coming! Content on it is on the way!
New follower here. Nice driving in the city! I’ll never complain about driving again. That 350 must be straight piped? I have a 350 in a Kenworth and I need to make it sounds like yours lol. Keep up the good work.
Yes it is straight piped and hahah I try not to complain either. And I hope you can make it sound the way you want it to! Thank you for watching! I really appreciate it
Like #300 here.
You got that intro synced up on point!
That's awesome! Thank you #300!!! And I really appreciate that!!!!! As time goes on I will add and change it up and make it better and better!
Any mother trucker who can navigate Manhattan like an absolute boss is going to get a subscription out of me!
There’s no way in hell I would do this much respect man
Thank you!!!
Keep on coming those nice videos better you than me on that traffic 😅…I mean you really need nerves of steel to deal with the Big Apple…
Keep up the good work..but specially keep on trucking that bad ass Ford…
Hahaha I try my best and thank you! I really appreciate that!
Hell yeah man really cool to still see an older Ford lt still kickin
It's a me me me society. Excellent driving! Enjoyed listening to the truck do it's thing. I've been watching your videos on the t.v in the evening. My fiancee said if he goes to macungie I'm just going to have to drop you off and come back later haha
Catch ya in the next one driver
It really is! Thank you for that and I agree! And uh oh!!!!! I would love to meet the both of you! I hope to see you guys at macungie! I'll be there for sure!
@@Only4Trucks Absolutely 👍
Love that truck man lt9000 those are the trucks that made me fall in love with bigrigs
nice job. that old ford sounds tough.
Thank you! She definitely does she's a bad girl
Another awesome video brother you and the old ford putting in work. God Bless you and your family stay safe 👍
Thank you! I really appreciate that and we do our best! Same to you and yours!
Hey I love your trucking videos and I give you and others truck driver that drive in new York City and it's traffic.
By the way I love your ford semi truck beautiful sounds
I give you and others truck driver much credit and respect for you guys because that's required some real skills that some of us would not have.
Thank you! I appreciate that it means alot to me!
Very interesting getting through traffic and I really miss that mack truck so safe travels to you and I'll catch ya on the next one.
Thank you! And I miss the Mack too! We will be working on it asap and plenty of videos of it to come along with other macks as well!
@@Only4Trucks that's a big 10.4 brotha trucka,have good day.
What a good ole truck. By far my favorite style semi.
19:55 badass man 🚂
🎉 thanks for the video bro 🎉😊.. JJ... Jonjon...
You have a new fan! A big ol Ford running around New York and you staying cool and calm is awesome, I've drove Mack's, International 's , Western Star's and several different military big trucks but I'ma Ford man!!
Sir, you have one of the coolest looking trucks, I love those old Louisville’s!
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Ahh..banging gears in Manhattan! Nothing like those old school diesels! 😎
Absolutely!!!!
How can anyone be a truck driver and work in these types of environment amazes me! That would be way to much stress for me! Love the side angle view and it was also great to see one of your subscribers meet you! Drive safe. 😊
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that and it was an incredible experience for me. I'll do my best and you be safe as well!
You've earned it brother 👍
Thank you! I appreciate that!
@@Only4Trucks no worries
Really enjoying the content! You're a natural! I am a born and raised Okie in my early 50's and been fortunate in more recent years to travel to quite a few places but I recently had an opportunity to take my very first trip to NYC and stayed in a friends apartment in Hells Kitchen while they were out of town. I have to say I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy my stay. I was blown away and mind boggled at just how the simple things miraculously work in a place with 8+ million people stacked on top of each other, like running water and internet or getting 3 lanes of cars down a street made for two. The way you thread that truck down those streets is a real testament to your skills. I only have one request, please find a way to mount your phone! looking away that much is just not in your best interest! 💪💪
I really appreciate that!!! Thank you! And wow that's awesome glad you got to experience it! And I definitely need a phone mount!! I will be getting one. And thanks again! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I do similar work in Adelaide South Australia delivering scaffolding, pre- cast panels and sometimes reinforcing wire into building sites.
It has its moments. Nice video.
Great video jo love the truck sounds driving through the streets it must be hard driving in the city with a semi trailer
Thank you! I really appreciate that! It can definitely be hard!!!
Watching you make that turn and saying nobody cares about your turn signal I want to give you an idea. I have many years experience (42), and I remember a comedian once saying the way to drive in the city is when you want to make a right, turn your left turn signal on, then when all the assholes go up your left side to cut you off, you turn right. Thought you'd see the humor in that one. Happy trucking!
Excellent video and sound. Driving through the city would be so nerve wracking, I was getting pit stains watching. 😂
I hear ya it does suck hahaha and thank you that means a lot! Hopefully you got yourself cleaned up after watching hahah
Just love these videos, cheers Joe 👊👏🤙
Thank you!!! Cheers to you stew!
Never wanted to go to NYC but after watching this i might have to try it 👀🤝🏽
Have to try it atleast once!
Just wanted to say awesome content! I love watching your videos. You are one of the reasons why I want to get into trucking! Love old trucks! Keep up the great work and God bless and drive safe man!
Thank you! I really appreciate that and I hope I can get you into trucking, teach you something and help you get where you want! Same to you and thank again!
I'm from South Wales, United Kingdom. So far I love your videos
Wow that's awesome and thank you!
Great stuff man! Loving the videos when I get to watch them. Also I think you do well filming yourself in front of people, eventually you wont think about it I guess. To be honest it's probably one of those things where no one cares anyway, or they see you vlogging and don't think twice about it haha! Also cant beat the sound of that big cam!
For sure I agree 100% and I appreciate that. I love the sound of the big cam as well! Thanks for watching!
Started as a diesel mechanic back in the late 70’s. Worked at a Ford dealer in SC then Ryder truck rental and an International dealer. Seen many who claimed to be truck drivers. Many were darn nice guys with good hearts. But none had your driving abilities! And abilities are what you have, along with the patience of Job. Hated those belt driven P/S pumps. Squealed like a cornered pig! Keep up the good work and great videos.
Wow that's awesome! Yea the steering pumps can be a pain! But thank you I'll be doing my best!
That old big cam sounds awesome Brother.
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
I used to have a day cab 1991 ltl with a b model cat. It was dependable! You dont see very many with sleepers anymore. I sold it last year because it was getting really hard to find cab parts for it. Now I have a 359 exd hood Pete. Love your videos!
Wow that's awesome and I agree for sure. I appreciate you watching and glad you enjoy
Your a key part in the building of NYC! Amazing footage.
Thank you!
Much respect ! Good job, I use to deliver to the meat market on 5th and Broadway with a 379 Pete. Get in at 2 or 3 in the morning and out by 5 or 6.
Wow but I do agree that's the best way! In and out early! Thank you for watching!
I think my buddys is a 86 or 89 LTL9000 Cat 425 18sp Neway air ride on 38s I think. 4.11s Parked it it 01 When he bought his T800HH Been in the garage ever since
There's something about big cities & construction, Love the in-cab videos!
Thank you!
I'm pretty sure out here in the west we have two track dirt roads that are smoother than any paved road in NYC. The tunnel audio was great, and the ol LTL seems to run pretty good.
Hahahaha I'm glad you enjoyed the video! It runs well for sure!
I remember back in the day having to drive the L9000 AeroMax w/10-speed and a drop deck through the cities of Connecticut & Mass., that sucked, people suck down there.
I used to be impressed by New York City, but nowadays I can't imagine living there. Tiny streets, blocks barely long enough to fit your truck and trailer, cars everywhere. Nah I'll stick with wide roads and lots of parking space lol. Blows my mind how you can navigate a big rig through those streets.
Big respect! You're a great driver!
You would make a hell of a bullhauler
I agree! I want to pull a bull hauler one day!!! Most definitely!
🥶🥶. IM GLAD YOUR DOING THIS MESS SO WE DONT HAVE TO GUY... 🥇👌 GOOD ON YAH MATE KEEP IT UP 👆..
Hahah thank you! I greatly appreciate that!
"It works like a zipper, 1 1 1 1... get with the program" 😄 🤣 😂
Love the in cab view. The lack of roof lining makes it look badass.
You are the first person to appreciate it rather than tell me it needs to go back in asap lol
That’s what’s up just watching tightest back up ever great calmness and driving I got a single axle day cab with a window SMH lol from dmv area
I appreciate that and nice I wish I had your truck on that tight back in lol
Do you have a link for where you bought that old school train horn? Id love to put one on my B model!!
It is a "train whistle" sold by united Pacific. Can be ordered on Amazon and plenty of other websites. Roughly 4-600$ if I remember correctly
Love the old school through that traffic, I would be tempted to scare some people with some engine brake too.
What a great video. I luv Manhattan but I won’t even drive a car there. lol Becuz my dad drove trucks I’m the chick that ALWAYS holds up traffic and flashes my lights so trucks can merge in. You are a rare driver with some impressive skills. Another video enjoyed! Just helping the algorithm 😉
If you can get through New York, you’ve got life by the balls 🤘🏽
I'm an FSC TRUCKING low boy fan. Clicked onto your channel out of curiosity, yeah I subscribed gotta see what your all about.
Wow I really appreciate that! There will be plenty of lowbed stuff to come, first trailer I worked was a lowboy. It taught me a lot!
Any recommendations on how to stay comfortable for sitting so many hours driving?
