Well, on one side I think he gone at it to strongly, but on the other side, I think it is good to be like that nowadays. So many peoples out there try to scam peoples nowadays, and many of them aim at old peoples.
I don’t know anything about roofs or gutters, but now I'm here in Germany, lying in bed and watching EVERY episode of these wonderful brothers fixing roofs for free in Canada. I love TH-cam, lol

It truly is sad, but it truly IS necessary in this day and age... What's NOT necessary, though, is to be nasty and accusatory, when you don't know the truth of what's going on! If you're concerned, talk to the people nicely and ask questions and get whatever assurances you need... Don't just assume the worst and yell at or insult the people who are offering to help out!

jeez this one is really hitting hard for me,she could be my mum. Same situation,Dad passed away in 2007,he was 66. Mum met Dad when she was 14,got married at 18,married 47 years. Cancer got my Dad too. Good on you guys for doing what you do. This one is special for me

Patiently waited till his skepticism and criticism was vindicated that's why..he genuinely thought the brothers would pull something on them at the end..but we all know he's gonna have a long wait cause it ain't comimg
Protective or not he could certainly use some better communication skills and some basic manners. Then shows he has no cojones by hiding in the house and shouting at his son. Seems he’s rather volatile since his family has to hide information from him because he can’t control his temper.
Look at how much it took from her to come down the stairs to see the work the brothers did. Her effort shows her gratitude and respect for them

Graduated high school in 2006. She says no one helps anymore and it’s mostly true but it’s here or there. I’ve helped my neighbor since I have table saw and large miter saws with cutting up some wood and honestly I think he was in shock that I was willing to help.

Well he was very protective of her. There have been roofing scams going around in Canada including ones that were really cheap or even free only for the owner to sign paperwork that later led to a huge bill down the line. So its possible he could have heard about those on the news and his protective nature of his mother caused him to have very high guard rails up which might have been part of the reason he was rude.
