I visit Malaysia anually from the UK, we stay mainly in Penang, or Langkawi but always take a road trip to KL to visit Star Hill, KLCC, the towers, but our highlights are Sunway Lagoon, Sky World and the Aqurium. Always superb! So misunderstood and underrated. I feel blessed to know Malaysians and Malaysia, if youve not been, you will be so pleasantly surprised, MY is the best !
Not many foreign tourists know about this place unless recommended. Love to see your video with family atmosphere.
Saya yang beritahu dia tentang Sunway Lagoon itu dan suruh pergi ke Sunway memandang kan ramai pelancong/ TH-camr yang tidak pergi ke sana.saya tidak tahu bahawa Sunway Lagoon sekarang sudah mahal tiket masuknya itu mungkin salah satu sebab mengapa ramai yang tidak berkunjung ke sana.
That's quite a comprehensive vlog on the Sunway Resorts, which is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur. It's actually situated in another state called Selangor. It's also my favourite place to spend my weekends, and to shop. Tourists who come visit Kuala Lumpur must come visit this entertainment city, it's not to be missed!😊
Las Vegas would be a misnomer. Actually, that would best fit Genting Highlands, a whole City atop a mountain with indoor and outdoor theme parks, a huge Casino, world's largest hotel and many more lovely attractions.

If you like Sunway city, then you have to go to Genting Highlands. Its only about 1 hour from KL and there is where Malaysia's only casino is located and they have everything you see in Sunway but many times bigger. The world's biggest hotel is located in Genting.
Ref your question about the lack of casino's, I was led to believe that is was because its the Islamic culture. I visited KL inc other areas in Malaysia in 1999 it was an unusual place for two English girls to visit back then. We started in Thailand and then Malaysia and found it more conservative than Thailand. Hospitality was amazing and food was great and was a mix of asian dishes. The beeches are beautiful too

Islam being the predominant religion, Malaysia also recognises Sharia law and Sharia (or Syariah) courts. Non-Malays (mostly ethnic Chinese and Indian) are not bound by Sharia law but by the secular legal system. All forms of gambling are forbidden under the Sharia law.

Malaysia has a place like Las Vegas called Genting Highland ( 10 time bigger than here ) .
5:25 its a mousedeer (kancil in malay). Also, because Sunway city used to be a mine, it was mined until it created a HUGE crater into the earth. Thats why when they built the hotel, it was downwards, rather than upwards. They had to build the hotel downwards.
for casino wise is not easy to get the license, so there is only one casino in this country, but i would suggest to go genting highland (where the casino is)
Sunway is more like a university town than a resort as there are 4 or 5 universities located in Sunway city. The Sunway lagoon water park is not too well known among foreign tourist & mainly patronized by locals.
You guys got real good taste picking up good places to stay and EXPLORE.
SUNWAY city is one of the rare gems that not many TH-camrs vlog about.

surprisingly, sunway mall and the surrounding hotels, themepark, etc. its more akin to a "neighbourhood" mall, because it is located in the suburbs of the KLang Valley. it is also considered a "university town" with a huge student population due to the many universities in sunway and next door subang jaya. it draws mainly students and families who do not wish to go the downtown malls.

Genting Highland, is the Vegas of Malaysia. Its located on top of a mountain just 1 hour away from Kuala Lumpur. Its like a whole new world over there. Not only they have a casino over there they also have a massive theme park suitable for family visits.
Sunway Lagoon is in Sunway city, a township in Subang Jaya, state of Selangor. It is a planned township with residences and schools, college and universities.
Private colleges and private universities, and private specialist medical centre
casino/intertainment/theme park is in genting highlands, 1hr from the city, can take the bus from KLCentral..
you need a whole day to enjoy & explore sunway lagoon.

I came back from the uk in mid 90s, stayed in subang worked in shah alam, weekends i always wondered around the mall, the skate ring was oredi there.
To those who keep talking about Genting, listen up. Here's a man with his lovely wife and son enjoying Sunway, so don't make him feel like he made a mistake coming here and not heading to Genting. Genting and Sunway are like apples and oranges. Appreciate what he's put together in this video. Stop comparing.

Good to see tourist actually getting out of the tourist traps of KL City centre. Go visit Genting Highlands, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of big malls away from KL City centre namely IOI City mall in cyberjaya, midvalley mall, mines shopping mall, IOI Shopping mall in Puchong just off the top of my head.
Malaysia is a multicultural Country but the majority of the population are Muslims so Casinos are generally not favoured. That aside, it’s not entirely banned, go up to Genting Highlands and you’ll find the biggest casino in Malaysia. As a non smoker I hate the Hotels up there cause despite the no smoking policy, people smoke everywhere along the corridors

The whole place was a transformation of an old Tin Mining Site built around a very dip mining pit. For a period it served as quarry.
Sunway Lagoon used to be a mine..thats why u need to go down the escalators down from the street level

I live so near to Sunway Pyramid/Sunway Lagoon Hotel, like only 10 min drive, yet I felt like I have not been there for a long time. It is time for a visit soon.
malaysia disney is sky world in genting highland and also last vegas got over there.. better bring ur family there and it is realy enjoy n fun.. highly recomended
Vegas of Msia is more appropriately at Resorts World, Genting Highlands. With one of the largest Casinos in South East Asia.

You should definitely checkout the datai, langkawi. The place is stunning! Luxurious.. pretty beaches.. next to a golf course.. the hospitality is 10/10. Many westerners stays there for a few weeks up to a few months!
The only casino in malaysia is in Genting Highlands. Visit Cameron Highlands as well. This two resort is very popular among locals and foreign traveller
Genting Highland is the Las Vegas of Malaysia. The entire hill is owned by the Genting Group of Malaysia which runs the Resorts World Hotels in Singapore, UK, US and Australia as well as the Star Cruises liners worldwide. The Genting Group is among the top 5 biggest casino operators in the world and they made most of their money from just the casino in Genting Highlands.
Sunway is actually not in KL, its located in another city called Petaling Jaya or PJ and in the state of Selangor.
But KL and PJ together with several other districts make up the Klang Valley region.
Sunway Piramid is my favourite mall since I am living in Subang Jaya. But no more Aeon 😅😅😅

We Malaysian have been shocked by a youtuber from Australia last week which was they don't like Malaysia at all and my country is disgusting according to them.

Malaysia is a Muslim country. No casino was actually permitted in the first place. Mr Lim Goh Tong, asked for permission to develop a highland of Pahang and at the same time as permission to built a casino in it, with very very strict restrictions. And so that's it. The only legal casino Malaysia had ever permitted...

You missed AQUA PLANET in Clark Philippines if you're looking for a huge water park. Try the Lazy River if you want to move around the place in a floater. It's called "lazy" because you don't need to paddle. 😊
Afterwards, go to DINOSAUR ISLAND nearby 😊
