Gardens by the Bay won Building of the year in 2012, the most innovative environmental engineering system to cool the domes for temperate climate plants to grow. You should be proud to know that its a British team of consultants which won the competition to do this, the most successful garden ever.

Koda is so used to traveling that airports and airplanes, and different environments do not really faze him at all. Always a joy to see Koda. That is a nice room. very luxurious. I heard from my sister in law who used to work and live there that Singapore is a very clean city. Wow! So beautiful!

Another place to visit if you are at Gardens by the bay area is the Marina Barrage.(Free of charge). Walk along the footpath toward South (700M from Satay by the bay). At the rooftop of Marina Barrage boasts quite a big green space suitable for picnic, flying kite or just chill out with the family. Also can take good Instagram photo of the Marina Bay area....

Not sure if I should crap on someone's business but if you want to go to the touristy spots, bring your own food and drinks, the prices in the tourist areas are jacked up by something like 4 times. If you're out for food, avoid the touristy spots like Lau Pa Sat and Maxwell and just go to any neighbourhood food court, or even Chinatown Complex the prices are much more reasonable. Look for drinks at the Value Store, they'll sell 1.25L bottles for... a dollar. Worst case, go to any NTUC store to shop, not the cheapest but the most average. Any prices higher than they show is definitely overcharging. For food, I'd recommend Hor (pronounced Hoar) Fun from any stir fry store.
Don't forget the Botanical Gardens, people go gaga over Gardens by the Bay but the older Botanical Gardens is also a worthwhile look.

those big trees with lights at the gardens By The Bay are actually chimneys. The Garden generates its won electricity with Waste to Energy technology, where it burns twigs, branches, etc to produce electricity.

You guys still in Singapore? If you are, try the Sungei Buloh Wetlands and the Botanical Gardens, Gardens by the Bay's older brother. Bring your own food and drinks though, the food outlets there overcharge. Or just exit the gardens and cross the road towards the hospital, there is a drinks/ice cream push cart across the road with much more reasonable prices.
