Raxxla most probably is in a permit locked system with a functionality to be developed it will be ready when the stable release of Star citizen is out.

Confirmation bias is certainly a risk, but without any other leads, I'm fascinated to see how this goes and where it ends up. Will the Dark Wheel even want to see us turning mob-handed up at their secret base in LFT 509? I'm allowing myself to get just a little bit excited!
As some cmdrs mentioned before: "It's a journey that everyone must travel for themselfs" Raxxla is Elite Dangerous and I think fdevs will never admit this because it will piss off a lot of people
I think the "journey" part would coincide nicely with a permit lock. The problem, as you mentioned, is that with the sheer amount of stars there will almost always be a way to find an X that marks the spot you want it to be. That FDev fixed that bug *that* quickly is, for me, an indication that this bug might indeed have been a threat to whatever they have planned to keep hidden. Be it Raxxla, Guardians, Thargoids, or whatever else is lurking out there in the black. That said, I think Turning The Wheel is indeed an interesting approach and might uncover something, even if it is just deeper understanding of the BGS.
My squadron has its own tinfoil section devoted to solving this, I'm just worried Fdev are pulling our leg... I feel like a secret seeker of Shadow of the colossus
I think the 'Journey everyone needs to take for themselves' hints at passenger lounge missions. They've always brought players directly to places of note or lore significance in the game. Also hidden in plain sight, I definitely believe a thread is hidden therein.

Perhaps this system is not really permanently locked, but just very complicated to unlock. Every cmdr has to do something like opening every single thargiod base map to gain access to the system. This would be thargoid related, fit to the quotes of frontier staff and also fit to frontiers obsession with never ending grind. :) And nice and inspiring video! ;)
I still say it's in the starting area, everyone has to make those trips and where better to hide something than in an area where the only people that can go there dont know what Raxxla is yet
There is something thats been bothering me about the Sol system. UV Scuti isn't in the game because "its measurements werent known at time of game release". But they threw Persephone, which is just a theory. There is the asteroid in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter. But they have tweaked systems post release to reflect new official findings. Not saying its connected, but its odd. Plus Triton is locked. Players grind to see the home system and a notable body is locked is just irritable. Just make it not landable like the gas ball Titan.
We get the permits on odyssey as a story lore progression and be able infiltrate dark wheel and go to those installations where raxxala i bet since its paid dlc
I've been thinking this too. If they pulled their writers off of galnet they must be writing something. I doubt they will open up a brand new story when everything they've started so far is unfinished. So it's Thargoids, Guardians or Raxxla or all 3.
My hypothesis is that u need to max out your credits or at least be close to it, then something will happen when you fly around in one of the core systems. So basically the same stuff you needed to do in the original Elite game.
Another thing that stands out as being so close to our noses is the game name. ELITE. Could find that one of the conditions to unlocking something is being triple elite. (Possibly even quad elite. CQB) Couldn't even start to theorize how it might fit in but it is like a scab in my mind I can't stop picking when I think about the search for Raxala.

Just came to me that a journey everyone must complete for themselves probably refers to a system permit and perhaps multiple. Like other permit locked systems they are all something that each player must obtain themselves. Question is though how do you get the permits?
I'm calling it now. Raxxla is a wormhole to Andromeda. And if we find it and it is indeed that, there will be a heavy Dark Wheel presence already there.
I know its a bit late for this video. BUT Fdev never "stamped out" the purchase of system data from permit locked systems. Some like LFT 509 never could be bought for some reason, but i've been able to get nearly all permit systems around the bubble, and a few systems inside COl 70 no problem!

I have been investigating for Raxxla since before it was common knowledge.. My investigations have gone cold because of a locked region, and another because of a locked system.. My Dark Wheel reputation is maxed out for years lol.. I remember doing that mysterious mission that i hear is no longer available, after increasing my rank to elite in something, i think.. After I train my SLF pilot to Elite (25% towards it) I'm doing missions for DW (Dark Wheel, not Distant Worlds ;) ) faction. There is nothing worth mentioning to do anyway and I've had my share of expeditions. See you!

One system that has significance meta-history wise with Elite, and a star that holds certain historical significance for humanity. And as for the DW at Shinrarata? Felicia herself gave us this clue: " _Whenever someone tries to usurp the Dark Wheel name, sooner or later they get quietly shut down. And that's how I know._ "
The faction in question was only found in one system at the start, shinrarta dehzra which contains a planet called founders world. It's an earth like planet that can't currently be landed on our interacted with in any meaningful fashion.

I still think Raxxla is less of a name and more part of the riddle. Like an anagram, acronym of even initials. RA-XX-LA...something like that. Maybe it’s a strange shorthand code for some coordinates???

Ok I been trying to get out a stream about this but it keeps getting pushed out so raxxla is in Formidine Rift all the clues point to there now heres a big clue the system it's in has been honked but not fully scanned also the system it's in has a big gas giant and has 3 earth like moons my Squadron is looking in there now the dark wheel that u know are descendants of the original dark wheel they are not a fake or anything like this what would be good is if we had more people out in the rift looking now as for what it is it's a gate way in to the next galaxy in ed whitch is already in the game so I did not want to do it this way but I will get a stream out at some point u will all get the same info if u spend more than a day looking lol these facts are all true
Lol I like what youre saying, I really do. Sounds worth it, but the only problem is that it has already been confirmed to be localized in the Milky Way Galaxy. I dont see why they would need to add more outside the galaxy when its all possible in the current one.

That's always a possibility... I certainly don't think it'll be a short journey and I don't think it'll be easy.... And I'm quite pleased about that.

No. The lore says the 8th moon of a gas giant. There could well be 12 moons and it's the 8th one we want. Ultimately we need more than 7 :)
It's a portal to another bubble. The permit locked systems on the other side of the galaxy that the gnosis was originally headed to.
