They keep “buffing” the abrams because when any of then were introduced they were massively nerfed compared to what it should be. They are slowly creeping the abrams to what it should be just like they did the F4E

Ah yes, the beautifull M1A2, with its gen 1 thermals, export variant armor and SepV2 model, but sitting in the game as the non SepV1/2 model.
Why dont Gaijin just leave this model alone, copy the damn model they already have in the game and slap it a SepV2 with gen 2 thermals and M829A2.

@@beherith2874 they did now, but is just a frankenstein, is the same as the M1A2, except that it has TUSK and gen 2 thermals, but it is lacking the DU armour, which is... well... the thing that the Abrams is lacking in game, i really hope that in the update they change the armour values to fit the DU ones
You play the Abrams a hell of a lot better then I do. I get destroyed from across the map.
On a side note, I still put the Toilet paper on all my top tier MBTs with the Bear Decoration on/near the gunner optics

@@thomasmacdonough288 people over exaggerate the speed of the challenge, it's a very mobile tank off rd and I often get to caps before they are taken. It's not super fast but it keeps its speed better then others offroad

I play the 2F and 2E, the 2E is actually really good but the 2F I just gave up on bc without all the mobility mods I was hitting 10mph off road, the same mobility I'd expect from a Sherman

Looking forward to getting this round on my M1A2 soon. Still working my way to getting the turret drive mods, crew rep, and the LRF. Then it's on to thermals and M829A2. Must be nice being able to pen the front plate of Leo 2s even at range with it

I suggest you do a series on rarest but fun vehicles in the game such as the VT1-2, the IS7 or even the VFW

It's funny how they'll give russia seperate tanks for the t-70/80, but only a few abrams for america, upgrading the parts on the current tanks
It's not like it's unfair russia suffers alot a majority of the tanks even new ones dont have thermals but other people get thermals at 8.3 br russia only gets that with the bmp not to mention their tanks have the worst gun depression and alot of disadvantages to their counterparts just like in real life
@@DeathDealer1825 I have 10.7 in US, RU, and GER, all of them have strengths/weaknesses. US is great mobility and pen, but armor and thermals lags behind. GER is great armor, pen, and thermals, but their mobility isnt quite the same as US. RU is meh thermals, good pen, great armor but prone to one shots, and great mobility only in forward. The extra depression on US and GER are nice, but map knowledge and positioning will take care of the issue 75% of the time. BMP-2M is also the best squadron vehicle in game with the L2-PL. Plus Russian ERA is extremely trolly and absorbing shots it shouldn't, I got hit by 6 Hellfires today from the side aspect and I didnt die until they hit me with 3 more. I'm not saying its necessarily intentional, but Russia does seem to get the biggest breaks. Germany is the best overall nation, but its players tend to be braindead even at top tier. Meanwhile every US/RU team I face are like brain surgeons comparatively to Germany
@@mr.mercuryidk3757 yea totally that's why russian top tier mbts are like tin cans and prone to one shots because of the horrible crew spacing even the bvm has quite a few frontal weak spots yet the abrams is like a fortress from the front it pisses me off that people get mad about russia getting better rounds when most of the russian tanks will get 1 shotted a majority of the time dont forget the lack of thermals in most of their higher tier tanks when a bunch of other tanks at 8.0+ get them terrible gun depression slow turret traverse and unbearable reverse speed and slow forward speed but the abrams being a moving fortress glides along with no problem I always have problems fighting abrams with any of the T series tanks if they see me first I have been playing long enough to understand the map layouts that has nothing to do with it russia is behind on tech in real life too I dont see why people dont get that also it's no surprise that they have multiple t series variants because they have them in real life too but there is only 3 or 4 abrams variants in real life what do you expect them to do add what doesn't exist? They could add the m1a2 sepv1 which is the best Abrams to date with upgraded systems and they are probably already gonna do it so don't keep your panties in a bunch too long
@@mr.mercuryidk3757 there is plenty of things I can say that proves that statement wrong going off of how they perform in a game is bs which they definitely have some downsides on there too abrams crap on Russian mbts there is only 18 abrams tanks ever recorded being lost in service 9 of which were due to damage or FF and the t series tanks during conflicts were getting killed left and right and no I'm not forgetting the multiple countries that operated them either alot of it was skill issue but idc if it's a game comparing russian tanks to the most survivable mbt ever built is stupid because the abrams will always be better regardless and I love soviet military stuff but truth is truth abrams is probably the best tank design ever built at least so far with lots of space no arguing that if gaijin did it right the abrams would stay top dog

M1A2 SEP v2, Leopard 2A7 and T-90M Proryv-3 should be good counterparts to each other. 3BM59 with DU isn't much better than 3BM60 with the tungsten penetrator

They add a new round for the Abrams that’s not even equal with 2A6’s DM53, didn’t fix the ridiculous repair costs, and give the 2A5 DM53 which is almost as powerful as the A2 and more powerful than the silver bullet. It boggles my mind how much gaijin refuses to make the Abrams equal with the leo 2.
what boggles my mind is people are still complaining that this makes the abrams overpowered, when it still isnt nowhere as good as its 11.0 counterparts other than the ariete. Us Abrams mains have no armor, the worst thermal setup, the oldest 11.0 MBT, and now a round that is inaccurate for the sake of trying to make the leo look good, even though the M829A2 is on par if not better than DM53.

i really dont mind about the A2 not on par with DM53 but gaijin need to lower M1A2 service cost 12k for "just good" is not worth it like 2a6 godly ammo and better survivability is sit on what 7k spaded and you can spawn 4 soviet mbt without worrying about the service cost is not fair
Maybe because its not equal to the 2A6? Thats what makes the game interesting. Having a variety, different tanks. Having all tanks being the same would be super boring. Would just be the same tank that look different. Whats the point? Some tanks would be better than others. Its how it is. Especially since they take real life values

looking back at this:
-The new round barely changed anything except for downtiers. It's still underperforming horribly considering the round is literally designed with an anti-ERA tip to counter kontakt 5 plates (USA discovered the plates when the soviet union collapsed).
It's still nerfed, M829A2 should penetrate 750mm minimum irl. 3BM60 is also nerfed along with most other top tier rounds. Artificial balance is trash.

The need the have the sep v3 as a upgrade kit for the already existing M1A2 just like the t80bvm contact 5 upgrade filed kit so when ever any one get it it will make your thermal optic goes to like gen 2 or gen 3 and the armor spec goes up as well also add in more camouflage for the M1A2 will be nice feature as well
@@mr.mercuryidk3757 it’s still the same basic overall tank same gun same ammo types the only different is the ERA package and the thermal are you serious you want to grind like 300 k research point all over agin just for the thermal optics and the era package you must be joking right that’s only my opinion.
Where did that come from?! Oo the SEP v3 is pretty much an entirely new tank with so much stuff changed, it wouldn't warrant it to be an upgrade kit. Plus it is pretty much a tank to counter T-14. Additionally the T-80BVM has Relikt, not Kontakt-5. SEP v3 has a lot of changes to the internal armor layout, not just "different thermals".
@@yedidyah first things first it’s still the same engine and overall another blueprint based on the M1A2 like I said it’s pack the same punch only difference is the ammo types and a CROWS on top of turret with new models for the sep has low profile CROWS and a better thermal optics no need for throwing another tank research spot to the frey unless you wanna grind all over agin witch take time or even money and I forgot to mention sep has LWRS maybe on the later versions and that pretty much all to say about it
@@yedidyah and they still can add change to the inner armor thickness as they wish if you unlock the kit and rise the battle rating a bit and besides no one knows a lot about the armata anything yet I don’t think we are going to see in war thunder for a year or two even so it’s going to be hard for gaijin to have the armor value spec for the t14 anyway due to it been hush hush Russian classified tank .

If they really dont want to add a new abrams they should make it better with diffrent kind of opgrades like new armor kits for it like something we have been seen in operation desert storm. And at least give the new shot some of the real power it acually have instead of adding 30 milimeters exstra pen🤦♀️😅

The Real DM53 has over 900mm+ of penetration but in Game is 652mm-ish so, No.
Dm53 on a leopard 2a6 has 750 penn irl. The dm73 on the leopard 2a7 has 1000mm penn.
Ik t14 armata is better
These are Line of Sight (LoS) penetrations against a plate angled at 68 degrees just FYI... DM53 in game has 732mm LoS penetration at 60 degrees. 617mm LoS penetration at 30 degrees and 635 at 0 degrees. If anything, it is missing penetration at 30 degrees. APFSDS_long or long rod penetrators are much more effective against angled armor.
At 68 degrees, DM53 would penetrate 281mm of armor according to the 750mm value.
If m829a4 goes through 800mm LoS at 68, then that isn't much better than DM53 in the grand scheme of things. Would be a 300mm plate at 68 degrees. Then extrapolated back based on DM53 values ...
0 degrees - 677mm LoS or 677mm at 0
30 degrees - 759mm LoS or 570mm at 30
60 degrees - 774mm LoS or 387mm at 60
The m1a2 and the f4e are both getting power crept out of the game leaving USA the weakest of the big 3 at top tier
what how lol usa is easily the strongest if u ask me when u can bring ur F-4E in ground with 4 laser guided rockets, as ground the m1a2 is such a nice tank to play since its faster than a 2a6 and with the new shell change ur doing pretty good +6 seconds reload which u can follow with the m1a1 hc and adats can still shit on tanks... some of yall want to bounce everything and one shoot whatever gets in your sight
@@FinalBossNunu you clearly have no idea what youre talking about. toptier CAS is dead because of tunguskas, those are TV guided rockets and bombs not laser. t80bvm is faster than an m1a2 on a straight line and the leo2a5 is only very slightly slower, while having a much better gun. leo2a5 has same reload as the m1a2 and bvm has a faster reload than both.
m829a2 is a bit underwhelming than what i've expected but its a welcome addition. i just hope gaijoob wont use this as an excuse to gib russia the t90m.

I mean it's unrealistically shit in the game. In real life, the gun mantlet is not a weak spot; it's just as thick as the turret cheeks, and irl the turret cheeks are between 1000 and 1200mm rha equivalent. Also, the glacis, the poor glacis that the game seems to thinks is only like 400mm... No. It's between 700 and 900mm in real life.
Honestly they should just give it better thermals instead, at least for the commander sight. Only having gen 1 thermals really sucks

So the M1A2 already had an incredibly powerful round and it got an even better one, not going to complain it's awesome but the upcoming Leclerc S21 doesn't get a new shell and neither does the new Challenger 2 TES, I could argue that those 2 upcoming MBTs need a new round more than the M1A2, they could bring a new, better variant of the Abrams then introduce the M829A2, wouldn't that make more sense? I would also like to see the M1A1 get the M829A1 plus a move up to 10.7.

Well their Armored units in real life are pretty far behind. They don't put much money and resources towards maneuver forces.
@@InterstellarTaco that doesnt mean they dont have anything to add to the game, not to mention their air tree and heli tree are also behind where they have stuff to add. they can give a mangusta some spikes, they can add an early tornado, and they can give the ground vehicles better ammo

I've made a list on the previous video on the Centauro Romor, you will be surprise of that.
If Gaijin adopt the same politics from other nations (which i highly doubt even with some nations full of prototypes in the TT, URRS first of all...) maybe Italy will be a little better on the ground aspect, but...i have no trust on it.
I played it and loved...it's my nation, proud of what tanks we have (for the time i take a break, Dardo finally was added), but there are still many vehicles left behind, some are also an important presence in our military, others just funny experiments (like the VCC-80 with the 60mm HVG, also tested on the Centauro hull before the VBM Freccia was born).
@@Samuel-vm7hn the only problem it's relative to my first thought after read the M829A2 value; a minor nation can't have a better round than a major one...and CL3143 was just a tiny bit less powerful than M829A2.
Also finding out if we have stocks of new rounds (DM53 or M338 for our L44 gun, as example) instead what the game offer.
This is an effort for the developers or relative helpers...maybe there is a little spark of hope but i highly doubt.
At least they get post 2007 tech usa is still sitting at 1992

@@fadedgam3r every modern mbt has a fcs of some sort, they don't do the same things, but even the amx 30 has a basic fcs. It varies from calculating elevation, lead on moving vehicles, locking several vehicles and engaging them in order of threat... and surely i'm forgetting things
FCS is short for Fire Control System and includes technically sights and laser rangefinder.

I'm trying to grind America up to the Abrams. I've had to grind arcade mode only though because my eyesight is really bad. Grind has been a long process but I made it to 7.3-7.7. Halfway through the t32e1 and have 1.3 million convertible points. Gonna get golden eagles to grind out the m163, m103 and t95 and anything else going into rank 6 and then get a premium account.
Good luck playing T95 and M103... shitty lightly armored vehicles with HEATFS spamming killed heavy tanks. Heavy tanks are literally unplayable and they no longer have any purpose..
ngl it would be better to just use the patton series to research the abrams tanks

They should also add m95 round to the strv122 a/b to be fair!
Sadly, in all their wisdom, Gaijin does such decisions based on "statistics". Since the Strv 122s have such high repair costs, no one really plays it, and those that play it, perform good enough in it to warrant a) the high repair costs and b) not adding new ammo. So if Gaijin wants to see real stats for the Strv 122s, they should lower the repair costs in the first place.

That would be becuase the 700mm pen performance is probably for 60 degrees.
With the standard long rod slope modifier it's 60 degree penetration is 728mm (i.e. 364 × 2 at 10m).

Almost every single top tier round underpreforms. This is not an american only problem. Dm53 fired from a l/55 is estimated to have 800mm of pen at 2000 meters.
But if every tank had their real pen, armour would become littery useless.
And the damn 122 still sit with DM33 as it`s best
man i just wish they make m1a2 a little bit cheaper like 8000-9000 SL 12K is kinda painful to see even tho i got over 100mil in reserves, and even if i earn like 20-25K in it having half of it taken just to repair is discouraging
and same for the swedish 122s i know they have armor but come on that repair is just insane any tank with repair going above 5 digits is kinda too high for me even if i have tons of SL to spare it just doesnt feel right
and abrams and 2a5 doesnt need the new round they are powerful already its just pure F your armor at this point (the new rounds make T80s and 72/90's weakspot even bigger (i can hit it lower and still pen through unlike before where i need to aim really close to the breach)

Abrams series, 2PL, 2A5, 2A6, T90 ±600mm of pen and Strv 122 still more expensive than them and still get 481mm of pen in the same br or higher with a shell the Swedes never used. Give us the Slpprj m95
