    It was cool seeing this video because for the past few months I’ve been working on one similar to this that had a compression issue. All it took was lapping the valves and it’s good to go, aside from the ignition. I think all that it needs now is either an ignitor or a pulsar coil and it’ll be running like new.
    Great videos man, keep up the good work.

    Really glad you guys put this video up here. I'm working on a 92 EZ Go. No engine but putting a gas motor in it (Duramax probably). I don't have a gas rear end but I was thinking about trying to rig up a Kubota static trans to the rear axle to have reverse, ect. Would be cool if you guys did something like that.

    Looking forward to how this one turns out - always like seeing different engines put in golf carts. Those stock 2 cylinder engines seem pretty smooth but it looks like what you are putting in is going to really rip!!

    These robins 295 are good motors if you adjust them right but they’ll launch the second rod away from the oil pump. I’ve rebuilt 2 already on my 2 carts

  • @16driver16
    @16driver16 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That sucks those little 2 cylinder robins-subaru engines are fantastic when they run well and especially if you do the stop-start delete conversion. I always wanted to swap a honda 3 wheeler chassis under the rear and keep the rear axle and such and make a fun sxs, but I will say the best part of these is building them up and keeping the sewing machine silent engine. They sell 3 and 6" lift kits for I think $300, and they fit 22" tires. Stock I could barely fit 20" rears and 19" fronts

Once it's completely done I have another 420 to go in a ezgo. Will be doing a lot more detailed build videos on that one now that we have an idea of what we're getting into.

  • @michaelbenoit248

    The thing with these things is that they just go and go and go. The original motor was a longevity thing. Y’all should’ve kept the duramax stock. Y’all just make the engine even more short term than it already was. If you can use the original starter do it cuz these things aren’t a shift on the fly. You shift then the motor is off, that’s why it’s called and EZ-GO.

    I am building a 1996 Club Car and removed all the rusted electric motor and electronic parts. I tried to use the OEM rear axle and using a regular centrifugal clutch on the 420cc Predator, and you can easily walk pass me, and then went to a 40 series Torque converter and had the same issues. The chains and torque converter appears to do what its supposed to do, but the rear OEM axle does not seem to move as it should. What size Live Axle (1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2" ?) i thinks this will really move the cart as seen in other videos.
