I look forward every morning to gleaming information from you and Danny as I wake up with a cup of coffee. I also find my energy battery gets a massive positive charge from both of you, as well as wonderful ideals. Thank you for sharing your wonderfull gifts, blessing and talents from our Heavenly Father.
I know! I wish I had a summer kitchen. In the fall my entire kitchen gets over run by bushels of fruit and veggies, fruit flies, jars, etc etc! (love it!)
Great job, Miss Wanda! I lived in central Florida for many years prior to living in roach free Ohio, and even inside they were terrible! Dont miss them!
I haven't had huckleberries since I was a child! The things we seem to lose growing up is mind boggling! I use to know all the berries and grapes and what was safe to eat and I could identify all of them and where to find where they grew. I've lost all that information I knew as a child due to a major lifestyle change at about age 12. I didn't even realize I'd lost all that! Thank you for the trip down memory lane.. ..
Thanks for the great video. I used to make lots of jams and when I skimmed the foam I saved it in a small dish and we smeared it on our breakfast biscuits. Yum!
I grew up around blueberries, but had never seen a huckleberry. The taste is very similar so I thought they were just 2 names for the same thing. 🙄 They are NOT the same. Thank you for showing this process. It looks like it tastes FANTASTIC!
Hi sweety listening while doing things ...we bought 2 peach 🍑 trees & 2 blackberry & 2 blueberry from fast growing trees in SC ....we didn't have fruit in garden .....thank u so much 4 all we have learned from u & Mr. Danny . Hugs Josette Tharp & Doug Tharp Montgomery County, Texas
I googled Huckleberries to read up on the plant/berries and what they would taste like. It said similar to Blueberries . . . I bet awesomeness in muffins! Thanks for sharing and bringing us along in your kitchen.
‘We are family!!! Can some huckleberry Jam with me!!! ‘🤣 sorry had to change the words of the song! Awesome instructions and lovely Jam, great video!!!! 🤓
Winda, Check out adding panel screening that fits your garage door opening with a door. You could have it up all summer long & set out without any bugs in the evening. You could sleep out in the garage if you feel like it! They are great!
I don't think I have ever had a huckleberry. But love raspberries and blackberres and blueberries. When I was growing up, mom skimmed the foam off into a dish. It was a treat to have that on our toast or sandwich on canning days. It tastes fine...just not pretty on the jars.
Really interesting kitchen I love it. I don't know if Florida has huckleberries actually never heard of them before. If I can find them I'm going to make your recipe. I bet you it's a really interesting flavor. But anyhow thank you for sharing your recipe!
