I made this tonight after watching it yesterday and did it in honor of your Matt ❤️ continued prayers Heather.
My Aunt Kathy and I use to make "cinnamon rolls" with pineapple preserves. You should try it! You roll out the "dough", brush on the butter, sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar, cover with "preserves", or this jam, roll and slice. Bake. I don't remember the temp. When done... drizzle on the same glaze you do on your regular cinnamon rolls and.... OMGosh! It is the best thing ever. Haven't had one in over 20 years but... I still remember how AWESOME it was!!!!
sherry smith That would be so good with cream cheese frosting.
I've got to try them.
Cream cheese frosting would probably be even better! 😁
I watched this a few hours ago and HAD to try making it. I've never made Jams or Jellies but you made it look sooo easy. The verdict is in......it is WONDERFUL!!! I substituted 1/2 of the sugar with brown sugar and put a splash of vanilla so it tastes like pineapple upside down cake! Thank you so much!!!
This sounds great!! For those of us who make more than 1 batch of the same jam-jelly to try this variation of the pineapple jam, after they make the plain one the original recipe. The one that tastes like pineapple upside/down cake 🤗😍😁!
Is it ok to add the vanilla at the end of cooking, like right after it stops boiling? Or does it need to boil with the rest of it?
@@twospooked boiling it will evaporate it.
Heather, you're awesome! I've been on a Linda, Heather and Noreen kick for about two years and today decided to tackle making pineapple jam, white grape jelly, cherry jelly and white grape peach jelly. It all came out AMAZING. It couldn't be easier, but only because of the excellent instructions from you and the girls. You're all so inspirational. Keep up the amazing work!
+NickCO303 WOOHOO! Way to go Nick!!!! OMGosh, white grape! I need that in my life! hahaha
I like to thank you for all you teach, I just made 15 jars of jelly blueberry juice, strawberry kiwi juice and 10 jars of Noreen's pineapple jam thank you again love canning
Continuing to watch your playlist.
Oh I just love this recipe of Noreens I make it every year she nailed this one! Good job Mama :)
Linda's Pantry p

Great video! You are such a good teacher, calm even when the kiddies are active! Love pineapple Jam, hope to try!

This sounds delicious. I am going to make some this week. Pineapple is a favorite of my husband's. Thank you for sharing. 💜
Wonderful instructional video. You make it look so easy. I ordered a Presto canner. Walmart had it on rollback and it was cheaper than BB&B. Got tears hearing Mason playing Matchbox cars. I miss those days. First year empty nester, it's so quiet here. Making jams will be a nice winter project for me. Great job & thank you for sharing!
+LilBit AtATime oh i am so excited for you!!!!! I think thats why I kept having babies, so my nest will never be empty. the thought makes me cry! i am hoping once Mina is old enough to leave me I will have grandbabies to fill my nest with. hahaha
+The Kneady Homesteader Hi, could I ask, if you didn't want the 'bit's' in the Jam, could you just run the pineapple through a blender & then run it through a sieve and proceed as you did?
Thanks :-)
+Myeika Faith sure!!!!!
Praying for you and your precious family , Heather ..
I'm getting ready to gear up for a canning session to make jams and jellies for Christmas gifts. I'm also out of the pineapple jam which my husband has reminded me over and over again. My grandson reminded me we're running low on orange marmalade. I have one jar left of my apple pie jam that my daughter has laced claim to and I want to try your carrot cake jam. I've been digging out the jelly jars and getting them ready. You were talking about making whole cranberry sauce. Noreen has a good recipe as well as imstillworkin. She doesn't post much anymore but she has lots of good canning videos. I learned to pressure can by watching her and Mrs. V, Linda, Noreen and Katzcradle along with things other than canning.I just love to can see others stuff they can and watch canning videos. I'm hooked!!! God bless!
I made this pineapple jam and my husband loves it! Will soon be making carrot cake jam and some pie fillings too. Thanks for sharing!
I know you likely won't see this, since this is an older video of your, but I saw this and tried it and it tasted great when I did a taste test!! I followed this recipe exactly like in this video except I used 2 boxes of suregel as thats what I had on hand. I like my jelly / jams in pint jars, I only do the half pints as gifts. I was expecting maybe 4 pints and 1 half pint since you said normally it gives you 9 half pints. OMG I got 5 pints and 1 half pint!! NOT sure how or why, but I'm happy!!
Just made this yummy 😋 jam. In honor of Matt, as this was his favorite 💕 Can't wait to give it as a Easter treat 2 family and friends.🥰 God bless 🙏 you Heather and your family..marie and chrissy from 🇨🇦
Went to store have my ingredients and starting to make me a batch.
Great video and very simple.
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much. I am new and making this now for Christmas gifts. You video was thorough amd clear. Really helped me.
I bought canned pineapple yesterday so that I can make this recipe. Great minds think alike.
I just made the pineapple jam and pear apple butter. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🍍
Heather I really appreciate these canning videos its really helpful and because of you I am going to start canning soon thank you so much
+Tabitha Baker WOOHOO! oh Tabitha you have done gone made my night!!!!!
+The Kneady Homesteader awwww I am glad I made your night and your canning videos are so helpful is there any way I could get some of your canning recipes I do so much better if I have actual recipes lol
+Tabitha Baker i have some posted on my website. other than that i havent written them.out but what i do when watching a video is i write out their ingredients and directions as o watch the video....then throw it in my homesteading binder. thats what i did for noreens pineapple jam. i went thru her video and wrote it all down by hand step by step. thats whats in my binder ow. 😁
+The Kneady Homesteader ok awesome I will check out your website and also rewatch all your videos and write them down thank you so much for all your help I know this takes a lot of time and I really do appreciate all your help
absolutely sweet mama!
looks yummy. getting ready to make this and the grape , but looking forward to the cherry jelly. I got cherry juice but you mentioned maracino cherries. You are one busy momma. Love all of your videos..
I love your measuring spoons 🥰
So much easier than going through fresh pineapples. Looks so good. I love pineapples.
I thought this video was just off the wall. I will be trying it this weekend, my wife love pineapple anything. let you know . Awesome
I'm a little lost did she put in 2 cups of water?
@@Barbara.714 yes!
Going to attempt to make this tomorrow! Many healing prayers for you and your family 🙏🙏🌻🌻❤️❤️
Watching and praying for your family.❤❤🤗
this is another one I can't wait to try. I actually found this jam at a local Christmas bazaar and I just had to try it. I don't know if its the same recipe but it is awesome, a little sweet but awesome.
+Chelle Furneaux you will love this one! let me know if you make it!
I'm thinking about making this for Christmas presents this year!
I look forward to trying Noreen's recipe. Thank you for sharing a nicely done video presentation. I typically stick to making jelly, as I prefer the texture. I think I will puree the pineapples just a little first so the jam will be less chunky. Can't wait! :)
Might need to make some of this today...hubby loves pineapple 💖
Praying you and your family UP, sweet Heather! :)
Thank you for sharing this- it looks wonderful!
Your little girl is sooo adorable!!!
Thanks for the sharing I love your pineapple jam
Prayers to you and your family 🙏🙏🌸🌸❤️
Thanks for answering the question of what to be doing with the canner for us newbies, I probably would have had it at a full boil the whole time, lol.
It’s looking so good Heather.I will be making this recipe soon too!
I will try this one. Prayers!
That sounds so good--will be making it!! Thanks for sharing!
I made Noreen's recipe for the pineapple jam a couple of years back. I like it too! I'm loving your videos :)
Hi Heather I modified the recipe for Christmas. Made my Pineapple Jalapeno Serrano Pepper Jelly... Some heat with some sweet! Good on Ham, Pork or a little on top of some cream cheese for a dip with crackers! Very yummie! Sending you all some love from Calif. Hope you Matt and the kids all have a great Christmas!
Cinnamon girl's Cafe
Ohh would you video making the cranberry one please? Thanks for sharing with us :-)
Just finished my batch
Freakin easy and delicious 😋
Thank you guys again
😊making this weekend hopefully. Still praying for you
This is mine and my husbands favorite jam and it’s hard to find in the store. I also have a cake recipe that calls for pineapple jam. It’s a pecan pound cake and it’s wonderful
Thank you for sharing this recipe! I have lots of Pineapple 🍍.
And I do the same boiling method with jars ! ❣️
Oh yes, hot in kitchen but all worth while 👏🏼
The Jam looks beautiful
I would have never thought of making pineapple jam! I bet it is delicious on a bagel with cream cheese! Would this work with fresh pineapple? Continued prayers for speedy recoveries for you and your children.
I love all your video and love see all babys to..they are growing up so fast..
Hi Heather. Love this video on Noreen's jam. How thick did your jam turn out? I made a batch and it only got to syrupy stage. Is it supposed to come out thicker? I think my pectin is old but there is no expiration date listed on the bag.
This is the best!! Making more today!!!
Hi, sorry I know you have an operation tomorrow but what if I wanted to do this jam but with splenda and a no sugar pectin? Would the fruit/water be the same? I have this diabetic customer who is desperate for me to make this jam with no sugar or splenda and I'm not sure of how to go about it :/
always so tricky when it comes to jelly because sugar is the preservative! once you start messing with that, it' always lesser quality. no pectin works better in jams than it does for jelly in my experience. I would look into some canning books, google online and fine a recipe that has worked and been tested using no/low sugar.
Hello.... I just made the jam yesterday night...so dissapointed... (12-26-23) i used two packs of pectine, fresh pineaple that i crushed in a food processor and instead of water i use pinneaple juice...6 cups of sugar...and follow your instructions...however turned out too watery or running...it was so no setting that i use a powder made of root to thicken it...but did not work either...i canned it anyway expecting that this moring the jam will be thicker...but no...so what are my options to fix the issue...i can open all the cans and cooked again.,,,very slow to let it thicken a bit...and recan all the whole enchilada again...would that work? thanks...may blessings to you and yours.
So easy and delicious- we use to can red plum jelly- it was easy to - no added pectin for that one - 💚
thanks for the video, it's awesome. I'm gonna do it now, home made :) you're a great mother
Can I use pineapple juice instead of water ?
Can't wait for the cranberry one, sounds perfect for christmas!!
Love this recipe! I'm new to canning. Did you have to have a longer processing time than the 5 minutes Noreen uses because of the 2 larger jars in your batch? How long would you use for pint jats? Thanks for your time to answer my question.
I know this was a long time ago, but I would really appreciate it, if someone has the answer. Thank you!
I can not be alive you had no foam, that is why I have stayed away from jams and jellies because the foaming process is such a pain. I LOvE the butter top! Is that was keel the foam away in all jams and jellies? Brilliant!
We love pineapple. Might have to try this one, too. Excited to see the cherry one.
how far did you cover your jars with water... 1 inch i think is correct... but i am new to this so not sure....also... some showing canning chunk pineapple and processing it for 20 min... why jam for only 5 min
Quick question, is sure jell the same tablespoon to tablespoon as ball? Sure jell is said to have 4(with a little extra Ts).
Can unsweetened ,natural pineappke juice be used instead of water in this recipe?
Love love love your videos. I've adopted your family. As a retiree I'm simplifying a lot of things and enjoying getting organized with food storage and usiing canned, dried, etc products. A lot of us could use some help in how to store fresh foods or find a better way to store them preserved. I'd like to shop one a month or so but am having trouble with how to keep fresh vegetables, potatoes, onions, etc. Help. Give us some adivce please. Thanks.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful videos. After spending a month watching you Mandy and Leisa I ordered my canner, books, and utensils. I decided to make this and a jelly recipe from Leisa. All the jars from both sealed but 1.(Happy Dance) The Jelly fabulous tasting. but was way too runny, and I threw it all out. The Jam fabulous tasting as well but it too was a little runny but still useable as a topping over ice cream, pound cake, etc. We even went ahead and had it on biscuits this morning. When hubby went to the store for the Ball Pectin they were out so he came home with Sure Jel. After my, not thicking issues I did a little research and found that Sure Jel only has 5 tbsp and 1 tsp. per box. I used 2 boxes in the jam but that did not equal 12 tbsp that you had used. Could this have been my issues with it not getting as thick as yours? Also, when you were heating up the jam for the first and second boil was you using high, medium or low heat. I was using high maybe that was my problem it boiling to fast. I don't know. I so want to try more but I do not want any more thicking issues. I did bring to boil that could not be stirred down both times and second time timed the 1 minutes. I made sure I measured everything. Any advise you could offer is greatly appreciated. Have a great day.
I wish I had the nerve to try this but I would probably be afraid to eat it which it would be just as well being that I’m under 20 carbs. I enjoy watching you anyway. It doesn’t matter what you are doing. Thank you immensely
I love anything with pineapple.
Heather, on jams and jellies do you not have to de-bubble? Thanks!!
Hearher, I have made your jelly with juicy juice and they are so good. I made a batch of Cran Grape and it didn't gel really well. Can I recook it and try again? What is the correct way to do this? I appreciate any advice you can give me. BTW, I love your videos!!
Warm it back up and cook it for a little while longer!
Someone bought some tinned pineapple today.......! :-D (previously named 'Seven Little Australian's'). This recipe looks really interesting.....I would never have thought of pineapple jam, but it looks like the perfect jam for summer.....I am making some preserves for home-made Christmas hampers this year, and I think this will be included!
How much is their shelf life?
I love this recipe! I've made the ball pineapple jam in the past, but noreen is right, canned pineapple is better than fresh!
Hi Heather, can you please tell me where you got that squeeze bottle with the orange lid? I have been looking for squeeze bottles with caps on them but so far I haven't found any decent ones. That looks pretty sturdy and I really like how the cap is connected so it doesn't get lost.
+ITALIAORIANA sure!!!!! Walmart! $1!!!!!!! hahaha they are awesome!
Can you make this without adding sugar
Would you use Clear jel
Hey there, I just wanted to let you know i've been binge watching your videos for a couple of days now lol, you do an awesome job at explaining details :)
I made the pineapple jelly today tastes so good, but I used liquid pectin (two pouches) and its really liquidy. Is there a big difference in powder vrs liquid pectin? Thank you so much for your videos they are so appreciated :)
Oh one more question could I put spicy pepper seeds in the recipe? Like a spicy pineapple jelly :)
Liquid pectin has never worked for me so i stopped using it. I only use powdered now. I have added jalapeños or habaneros in my pineapple jam before. Its so good!
Thanks for sharing with us that the liquid pectin has never worked for you, that saves us a batch we have to use for syrup instead of jam. Thanks again!!!
@@TheKneadyHomesteader looks so good, do i add 2 cups of water after the sugar?
I don't know how I didn't know about this recipe! lol I will for sure be making this jelly!!
Is it salted or unsalted and is it one teaspoon
I have a question. Can you use fresh pineapple? My local Kroger had them for a dollar each this week and I bought some to use and thought of this video.
+James Doolin you sure can!!!!! 😁👍🏻
Noreen says NO!!! :)
Will it be 5 min in my presto too?
How do I know how to adjust the times ?? Does that make sense?? ~Kristy
That looks amazing!!!
Could you use 4 cups sugar? Seems like so much sugar, or is it a vital part for processing? Does it change the recipe if i use certo pectin? I made cherry jam tonight :) tomorrow doing pineapple and mango with light syrup and mango jam and pineapple jam. Im new at canning, i have been binge watching so many videos now going hard lol love it!! Did peaches in jars with light syrup few days ago aswell. Good job !
you can cut the sugar but that requires a low sugar/no sugar pectin that you will need to purchase to make it set right.
@@TheKneadyHomesteader I use sure jell 1 box low sugar/no sugar pectin the pink box 4 cups sugar 5 1/2cups pineapple from can pineapples
that's looks good. winery if I could use fresh pineapple instead. do you think that it would work in pineapple upside-down cake?
I love, love pineapples. Going to have to try it making the jam & canning the pineapples.
I have tried a 2 ingredient pineapple jam, and not really too happy with the end results. I will try a third time - with this recipe - and hope I do a better job. Thanks so much for sharing.
Instead of 2 cups of water could I use 2 cups of pineapple juice getting ready to make this and had to ask this question
Trying this for sure!! Thanks!
is there a diabetic substitute for all the sugar? honey or agave perhaps?
+RUSSELL DAVIS you can definitely use a low to no sugar pectin. Just follow the instructions on that package.
Is Noreens recipes USDA approved?? I worry as a new canner to use recipes that are not USDA approved thoughts??
Is pectin and sure jell thee same thing?
I made this jam, is it more of a loose set or firm set jam? My batch turned out quite loose. It tastes absolutely amazing though!
i always add just a tad bit extra pectin, always seems to do the trick for me. so whatever the recipe calls for, just add a tad pinch more! see if that helps you like it has me over the years. :)
What do you use it for? Toast? Ham?
+Pamela Lopez you got it! You can also put it o ice cream.... but i love it on a bagel or english muffin with cream cheese and a bit of this jam on top!
I like my jams and such to have a bit of tartness to them. Do you see any problem with add some lemon juice to the batch?
Caroline Honse Lemon won't hurt the jam at all, in fact it helps add pectin to all jams which is why it's in so many recipes for it.
Do you do this on medium heat or high heat?
Can you use a non sugar ??? Hubby's a diabetic
I want to make this but in the video I seen butter, but I didn't see how much you put in, can you please put the full recipe??
its just a pat of butter to prevent foaming. 👍🏻
Yum! Yum! Ice Cream Topping!
I HAD TO WATCH THIS AGAIN
