    Two hints:
    - you don't have go to subtract by pushing the button on UI. Just push alt and selection tool will start subtracting.
    - you don't have to do ctrl+c, ctrl+v to separate selection on new layer. Just do ctrl+J. It does just that.

    WOW! Thank you again, Olivio. I had forgotten about the depth of field usage until now. Of course, you made this really easy to use in order to make a photo much better when the camera's f/stop was not higher to get that depth of field that was needed during shooting.

    Thank you Olivio. You are my fav teacher for Affinity software. I find also amazing that you offer free samples from your assets. With this people can check out the need and quality of the assets without to shed out money first and regret later the purchase of the full pack. (Happens to me many time ) .

    Have really appreciated the sharing of the expertise here, Olivio, as I have said many times before. Just a minor comment, after the refining of the selection of the young lady (they are all young to me!), you output as a "selection", then use Cntl + c, then Cntl + v to copy her into the layer above. It would seem much more straightforward, to, at the finish of the Refine stage, to choose to apply as a "New Layer". This would make life easier and simpler for those emulating your tutorial. Nevertheless, I know that you are producing these at an enviable pace. We are so lucky to share the results! Best wishes

    You didn't explain how you refined the selection...not everyone knows the shortcuts or techniques around 4:54 . Is that some kind of automatic function or are you using a shortcut key? I don't get the same selection when I do it.

    Hello, I have a problem in the selection tool in which I have an object that I select; however, when selecting again with the FLOOD SELECTION TOOL or brush for the holes inside the object are selected its outside selected part disappears. How do I have them all included with the selection as a whole to keep them as one object? CONFUSED PLEASE HELP!

    • @OlivioSarikas
      @OlivioSarikas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      look above your image while you have the selection brush active. There will be buttons for add and subtract. you need to use them to define what mode of the selection brush you want to use.

    That is a LACK of depth of field! It should be called a 'Differential Focus' effect!
