As I've been spending more time away from my channel and away from the the constant thought of 'what can I react to next?', I spent hours (and I mean actual HOURS!) really listening to the music I've discovered over the past 8/9 months.
At the beginning of my BIGBANG journey I was unsure as to how they made me feel. And I still can't put it into words. But as this reaction went on and as time has passed since filming it, that connect I felt - I realised that I have spent a huge chunk of my life struggling to fit in (often in situations and with ppl where realistically it would be almost impossible), always being misunderstood by others and as a result ended up continously questioning my self-worth. Maybe if I had embraced being a 'loser' a long time ago I would have found the road to happiness quicker. That song attacked me, emotionally, in a way I was not expecting. I actually feel like that song is about me...
Also on a much lighter note and away from tmi about my personal life (lol), for some reason when I get into a group I always end up ignoring 1 member for absolutely no good reason. I've noticed it, people have mentioned it, I really don't know why I do it, but I always end up regretting it and kicking myself for allowing it to happen. Well I've only gone and done it again, I have well and truly ignored him but believe me in my next BIGBANG reaction I will spend A LOT of time talking about this special member and his wonderful voice. Any guesses who the member is? haha 😄

In my opinion, anyone will love Bigbang’s songs no matter what fandom they’re in. Bigbang is another group beside 2pm that I went to the concert. They’re truly artist, each of members has strong character, and their creativity is out of the box. I respect their song works a lot. Cafe is my most fav song of theirs.

At 32:21, you could see Taeyang threw the cross that had “Sin will find you” written on it, then he jumped and then they showed the cross landing on the ground and it broke, the part that was broken has the word “WILL” written on it, I cried so hard bcoz of that. LOSER is really close to my heart. I discovered Bigbang in 2015 at my lowest and darkest point, and I agree with what you said, when I first watched the MV, I cried, bcoz I connected with what they were saying in the lyrics esp with Taeyang’s “I wanna say goodbye” but somehow this song comforted me during those times.
35:10 i know exactly what you meant, BIGBANG does it to a lot of people including myself, they've got this ability to connect with their audience through their craft and i think one of the reasons is because their music and lyrics aren't just melodies and empty words those are their actual experiences, their real stories, their raw and honest selves talking and connecting
I really love your reaction, I was waiting for this.
My journey with Bigbang is quite funny, 'coz at the start I was in love with Taeyang and Seungri, they caught my attention, visually speaking. Then I got into T.O.P. his deep voice and attitude just hit me hard. At the end, starting watching their lives the one and only G-dragon stole all my attention and I think you can understand me. His stage presence is on another level and I fall for him more deeply watching him out of stage, because of the duality of him being G-Dragon and him being Kwon Ji-yong. His Act III Motte tour is all about this duality.
The funny thing now is that my bias wrecker is Daesung. His personality, stage presence, voice, everything make me smile, every time I see him.
I love all of them in a certain way.
Now when you talk about how much different GD and T.O.P. voices are and how they fit well togheter, you need to know they are a rap duo. They have a full album just the two of them and a more recent song and I love their style and the way that those songs are all different.
One thing I really love about BigBang in general is that they have a song for every mood, you can feel the song and you never be bored listening to their playlist, because is like listening to a lot of different artist, but is just them.
I've read your description and Loser make me feel the same way. The delivery and the message are so clear that you can feel the song and you can understand that they are just human as we are.
For the part where you talk about not reacting that much to Seungri don't worry, I think that is a slower journey to get in to him, not because is less talented, but because there are things that at the beginning maybe hit more. You will discover that he has great talent and great vocals. You can react to BigBang "A fool of tears" and then their live with only the vocalists, I think you will love that. Funnily enough seungri is the one all vips will agree that all of his solo songs are bop and perhaps most likable out of all of thier solos.

Fantastic Baby started my K-pop journey, however Blues is the one that I have on repeat at the very beginning. I love all of their songs, but I love Gd’s solo album a lot too. GD and Top released Obsession I love that song a lot. Loser hits differently for me too. Thanks for this.
Bigbang, under the production of GD, has put emotions into their songs. Since they write most of their songs and most of the time, the songs reflect personal experiences so, they can act and sing the songs.

Yes, BIGBANG's banger songs are not irritating to the ears. It's not a "rude noise" so one can listen to it over and over again. In fact, despite being loud, your ears would love it.
That sets BIGBANG apart from other KPOP groups when it comes to dancing. The members can dance, sure. But when they dance, they are not "rigid" as you say. Members give their own flavor when they dance. The swag. Hence, they pook beautiful and poetic.
And yes, BIGBANG's wardrobe are always chef's kiss. Hence, the title Fashion Kings.
The reason BigBang's music is so good is because it comes from the heart, from their life experience , they put their emotions into the songs. Is not songs bought by the company made by profesional song writters is songs made especialy for them, by them or YG producers who know them since they were kids.

BIGBANG's banger songs have a lyrical or melodic sound to it that's why despite of being a noise, it's the kind of noise you won't be irritated to listen to. When I heard about the comeback I was thrilled but then I began to wonder if it would be the goodbye as a group... After watching the music video it really felt like that to me... Bigbang mostly wrote their own lyrics. Mostly Gdragon and TOP. Occasionally Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri but on their solo works they participate actively on their own song.

Also with the question of GD's voice, I can't wait for you to hear his speaking voice on maybe some sort of show or interview.
Usually I'm the kind to prefer deeper huskier voices but something about his natural voice despite it being very high and clear makes me feel like I could listen to him speak for hours.
Though to be fair, he modulates his voice a fair bit during many interviews as well.
I think his natural voice is sort of high and almost musical, but he has consciously modulated it to be a bit more monotonous and a little lower pitched sometimes in the past.
It comes out when he gets happy or excited though!
I've cried pretty much every time I've watched the LOSER MV tbh. Especially at Taeyang's: "At some point I started looking at the ground more than the sky," and "I wanna say goodbye." Feel those lines really hard.

My bias is Daesung. I like underrated but amazing vocalists like Jinho from Pentagon and Chen from EXO.
for God's sake, I was dreaming about this video. Cafe is my favorite song, for me TOP and Daesung are the lights of this song, but the falsetto's are out of this world. I'll be looking forward to more bibgang videos and the solos from all 5 members (please, please, please). I think it's kind of weird to say bias, but mine is GD, maybe followed very closely by TOP and Seungri.

Girl, I really enjoyed your amazing reaction! I sorta feel that in the early Bigbang reactions, you were interested but you were actively resisting the pull of the Bigbang attraction. But with this reaction, you caved and threw in the towel😂! I started with Taeyang as my bias, who can resist his charming eye smile, that heavenly voice and that killer body which he shows off! Then it was TOP with his deep voice, confident aura and gorgeous face. Now its G-Dragon, whose genius as a songwriter - producer, perfectionist leader of the band and highly creative artist just mesmerises me. Yet his flip-side, shy and friendly Kwon Jiyong, loyal best buddy to Taeyang who rescued him from class bullies when they were kids just makes my heart go soft.
May I suggest you listen to G-Dragon's Cafe demo version? You can hear him imitating the voice of every member cos he already knows which part will suit which member best. Lastly, TOP writes his own lyrics so TOP's beautiful poetic verse in cafe was probably written by him. He loves art so his lyrics talks a lot about art.
From my perspective, the shock value isn't something they intentionally do just for attention. Bigbang likes to experiment, and was given a lot of chance to push their creative freedom to the limits instead of following the market's demand. And it's not that they don't really care about the market - they just use a different artistic approach: trying something new and see whether it works or not. The shock value is just an effect from trying something completely different from everyone else, but when it works, they become a trend setter.
However, please also note that even though it feels like they just do 'whatever they want', the creative process was done very carefully to make sure that their messages in the art are conveyed. And the process takes a long time and usually very detailed. G Dragon is the one who has the general idea on how the songs should sound like, so sometimes he'll direct the members to use different techniques to achieve it. E.g. For 'If You', G Dragon demanded the members to record the vocal at 5 A.M right after they woke up, because he wanted their voice to sound raspy. G Dragon himself sometimes pronounce korean words differently or raps with a clenched teeth. Sometimes he uses nasal and chest voice. Sometimes he force it out of his throat. These details are subtle, but they are the reason why we feel a certain thing when we listen to their songs, even though it is in a different language.
Also, although only one of them is an actor, their acting in these MVs are very good. It's like they use their whole body to express the song; Bae Bae sounds quirky and the MV is like that, Loser is sad and the MV is depressing. They look drunk in Sober. They go crazy and have fun in Bang Bang Bang.
Bigbang is amazing not only because of their hits and the numbers they achieve on chart. Their creative process and thoughts are what makes them Bigbang.
i urge you to react for their solo songs.. u not gonna regret it at all.. i swear u gonna fall in love with every of them again and again.. their solo song is a bit different from their group song.. pls do it as fas as u can 😎

I believe Big Bang is, at this point, beyond fandoms. Of course, VIPs will always be main but as time passes I find myself listening to less Kpop but somehow, to me, Big Bang is on my daily playlist. I think at this point I only listen BB and Tvxq. Crazy thing is I still find myself excited at the idea that new stuff will be coming from BB.

About the emotions you’re mentioning, I felt that too. I guess it has something to do with the fact that Bigbang members especially GD writes their songs, so what you actually hear from them are their own stories. That’s is why the emotions are so raw, no filter and hits right through our souls. This is why I love Bigbang, aside from the hype, their songs made me feel to connected to them.

To answer your question about their company letting them be themselves and not force them to be squeaky clean like other K pop groups, it’s because Big Bang EARNED it. They’re the only group (esp at that time) that wrote and produced all their songs, came up with MV ideas, clothing, hair, even choreography. GD was the main force, and since 2007, all their songs (group, subunits, solos) have been massive, massive hits in Korea. Not just popular among the fandom, but all Korean people know Big Bang songs. They were responsible for 80% of profits for their company, and even the CEO of YG admitted Big Bang made the company, not the other way around. BTW, since GD, there are a lot more idols that write their songs, but GD is involved with every aspect, and he made that possible for other idols. Even tattoos, different attires among members, crazy dyed hair, everything we don’t think much of now, Big Bang made it ok.

They are all treats on the eyes IMO, but G-Dragon has that special something that is hard to look away from for sure. And he carries it well with such confidence. Such a shy sweet soft-spoken man off stage though. He's like two people in one body. They are all so humble and well mannered - so different from Western superstars with their big Western egos and attitudes. It's very refreshing and attractive.

I agree with what you said about bang bang bang. It seems like it would be just a lot of noise. But it really isn’t. It’s such an iconic song. It’s funny because I knew of Big Bang and g dragon before I even knew what kpop was lol that’s how big and fantastic they are.
14:22 They do have fanchants, most VIPS know the chants for Lies (2007) and Haru Haru (2008) which include their real names, some times the chants are just chanting key words like in the song BLUE vips will sing "BLUES". As you may be able to tell or will quickly learn VIPs are a chill fandom so there isn't a lot of emphasis on knowing the fanchants or even saying them and more on just vibing with the songs and we'll sometimes literally sing the whole song with them instead of doing the chants haha. Once again thoroughly enjoyed your reaction!

Can i suggest you a new group (it's rather a band)? It's called CNBLUE. They are from the same company as FT Island. They have very great discography. Their live performances, especially concerts are always better than the album version (because they always do different arrangement, if not slight, entirely, during live performances). Their main vocalist, Jung Yonghwa is also a soloist. He has done few solo albums. He has really great voice!! Also did i mention the members, especially Yonghwa, participated in composing and writing lyrics for most of CNBLUE songs. I hope you can dive into this great band because they have good, quality music 💙💙💙

I mean they got the most say about all things, from their song writing & production, album content styles/designing, to their personal styles or outfits, to their stage set up/management and this is why they are called artist not idols.
