The electrocution scene is my absolute favorite, just seeing Marv become a skeleton with this hair and beard has me rolling 🤣🤣🤣
I used to rewind the VHS and watch that scene over and over when I was little, never gets old.... except for my parents
The screams make it all the more hilarious too lol
The scream! He hits the tarantula note 😂
In reference to whenever someone gets electrocuted in old cartoons and they flash in and out of an x-ray image.
No electrocution. He was shocked. Electrocution is death by electric shock. The skeleton shot was funny, but Marv did not die.
The hotel concierge was played by Tim Curry, who was known for his Cheshire cat grin. He suffered a major stroke in 2012 and has been confined to a wheelchair ever since and mainly now does voice over work. He has continued working as a singer and makes appearances at fan conventions. So, while the stroke has impaired him physically, it obviously hasn't impaired him mentally.
It's sad that he doesn't have the famous smile anymore, and while he can speak pretty well, it's not the same.
@j.woodbury412 :
I don't know why, but thinking of Tim Curry the way you describe him after the stroke, almost brought me to tears. Don't get me wrong, I think he was great as pennywise in the old 'It' miniseries, and some of his other acting roles, like the one here in 'Home Alone 2 : Lost In New York', and other roles of his, but it's not like I'm a huge fan of his, either. So I was surprised to almost start crying, when I read your post. Maybe it's because I didn't know about it up until that point? Anyway, I'm glad you did post that, as it was news to me.
Hey Emma, thank you so much for not making us wait until next Christmas to react to Lost In New York.
No problem 😊 😘😘😘
@@Emma_Reactions Merry Christmas!
Pesci's Partner is actor, Daniel Stern. He is a really good comedic actor. Movies like City Slickers (1991), Bushwhacked (1995), Rookie of The Year (1993), Whip It (2009), and Born In East LA (1987) made his career.
Bushwhacked (1995) and City Slickers (1991) are my favorites amongst his roles growing up.
Daniel Stern was also the voice narrator of the older Kevin Arnold (the younger version played by Fred Savage) on the original hit TV series 'The Wonder Year'...
Also the voice of Dilbert in the cartoon series
Bushwhacked was such a funny movie too XD
I HAVE TO rewatch Home Alone 2. I really did not remember much about it, but.... IT'S FUNNY!!!! Thanks for the video!
The place where The Pidgeon Lady took Kevin is none other than the infamous Carnegie Hall. As a music lover myself, i would LOVE to go one day.
12:37 “I gave directions like nobody has ever given directions. Incredible directions. The child came back, he said “those directions were so good”. He wanted me to adopt him”
I absolutely loved this reaction video! Your energy and expressions made it so entertaining, . Honestly, this is the best reaction video I’ve ever watched! You really captured the charm and humor of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Amazing work, and I can't wait to see more content like this from you
I don't know what's funnier, Marv getting hit with 4 bricks or getting electrocuted lmao
Marv getting ⚡d, definitely.
They really played to Daniel Stern's strengths in this. Probably why Marv gets the brunt of the abuse. lol
Always the bricks.
What i find even funnier is that not only Marv survived all the hits with the bricks but the fact they all hit Marvs head.
Kevin has really good aim
CONGRATULATIONS ON 14K SUBS
Big family there's always one who the favourite and one that pushed aside. The women who is the mom is in a grate movie called Beetlejuice. Must see tim burton movie.
This movie did exactly every thing the 1st movie did...but 6 times better!🤩
This 2nd movie is the last Home Alone movie that has Macaulay Culkin (The kid who plays Kevin) in them, but the other Home Alone movies are pretty good. Not as good as 1+2, but good. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are Awesome as well. I hope you enjoyed this one as much as the first. Watching it with you, I think you did. Thank you for doing 1 AND 2. They are a necessity in my house every December. I usually watch 1 + 2 15 to 25 times every December. And thanks to you, my viewing has begun. So thank you, very much, Emma. 👍👍
Although I also watch both Home Alone 1 and 2 every year at least once, it's always a must to watch "A Christmas Story."
The TBS or TNT channels used to play Christmas Story on repeat for an entire day every year and I'd keep the channel on the whole time. I swear it would be Christmas Eve when they did that, but at one point they did it on Thanksgiving for some reason. I don't think they do it anymore but with streaming we all can watch it all we want lol!
So just like you, I had the tradition of over watching certain movies haha
Emma, I love your reaction and I laughed so hard with you. Someone gave you a really good suggestion to watch this movie. I'm not sure if yelling in New York City would have done anything or gotten anyone's attention.
There is a third part of Home Alone (Home Alone 3) which I recommend.
I liked the most parts first and the third.
honest trailer of home alone is funny. "Meet the mcalisters. the worst family in america."
Kevin's brother Buzz in real life is really a fun cool guy.we went to the same performance arts high school 😊
hi emma loved your reaction love the outfit i like this better than the first my fav part is when he puts his head in the toilet very funny .😂😍
I love both parts 😜✨✨✨
Rest In Peace
Ralph Foody 1928-1999
The World Trade Center 1973-2001 at 10:00
Eddie Bracken 1915-2002
John Hughes 1950-2009
John Heard 1946-2017
and Rip Taylor 1931-2019
I was lucky to see Eddie Bracken as Horace Vandergelder with Carol Channing in "Hello Dolly" at the Theatre Royal Dury Lane in London .... Quite a few years ago! It was a Brilliant Show!
So many good people involved in this movie passed away, but Donald Trump who got a cameo in this movie for whatever goddamn reason, ISN'T dead.
There's no justice in this world.
@@the-NightStarit was his hotel, so he demanded a cameo to allow them to film there
@the-NightStar Letting him live rent-free in your head, huh? Hope you grow out of that phase soon! There was no reason to mention him in a comment that wasn't about him.
The newspaper clipping we saw near the start said "Wet Bandits escape during riot" Essentially they got lucky, A riot broke out and they used the chaos as an opportunity to escape. Loved the explanation of how Kevin got the trap materials. The house was under renovation, it was still incomplete and the tools were still inside.
Hello Emma, A very fun reaction. Tim Curry is very good . He was fantastic in the 1985 fantasy - Legend- with Tom Cruise.😊
Tim Curry was hilarious in Clue: The Movie (1985) 😆
So good! 😊
Tim Curry is also very funny in the movie "Oscar" (1991) with Sylvester Stallone 😃
"There shall be noooo mooooreeee DAWN!!!"👹
Ahhh the Talk Boy! I got it for Christmas one year and I was recording myself doing so much. I was highly disappointed that it didn’t make my voice as deep and realistic as Kevin’s was lol
When Kevin plays the clip from the movie is such a classic 😂
i remember watching this for the first time with my mum when it came out and we just absolutely cried with laughter. The scene with the bricks and the electrocution bit, fuckin gold. The whole move was an absolute masterpiece in taking what made the original great and ramping it up to the next level without it being stupid. The first and second movie are still two of my all time favorite films
i love Tim Curry's performance too, especially his little lip quiver when he gets slapped xD
Very festive outfit, and a margarita. Almost Hot chocolate lol! I love the old film noir tossback. Such a great movie. Same as the first with a nice lesson at the end... don't use dad's credit card and order room service lol. Great flick
At the time Trump owned the Plaza Hotel, in exchange for letting them film there he wanted to have a cameo in the film.
Chris Columbus direct Home Alone 1&2. The same man direct Harry Potter 1&2.
The following Harry Potter films were terrible.
Yep, he’s one the few directors aside from Lucas & Spielberg that has had John Williams score multiple films of his (home alones, harry potters, Stepmom)
Hope you and your kids have a very Merry Christmas, Emma!
27:12 First movie Marv says “Kids are ascared of the dark”. This movie he says “Kids are ascared of the park”
I loved your comments about Kevin's mother actions, you seem to be a loving protective mom❤️
My buddy and I went to see this together. He laughed so hard and so loud at Marv getting electrocuted that the audience in the theater turned around and looked at us. 😂😂
Awesome reaction as always Emma ❤
Another very funny movie. Thanks sweetie. Have a great day
😘😘✨✨✨
The Pigeon Lady was the Foster Mom in Angels in the Outfield with Christopher Lloyd and a surprising Tony Danza casting.
Holy crap! I never noticed that before. Thank you.
Brenda Fricker was also the one who presented Joe Pesci with his Best Supporting Actor Oscar he won for "Goodfellas".
A Great Sequel,As Always Love Seeing Your Reactions Sweetheart ❤
Thank you! 😄
@@Emma_Reactions You're Welcome 🤗
Hey Emma, Happy to watch your reaction from Home alone 1 and now home alone 2 !!🏡🗽 The best part of your reaction is the trap scenes they always make us laugh when we watch them🪤
Again for watching this movie and merry Christmas🎄
Hi Emma!
It was a lot of fun seeing your reaction to Home Alone 2. I've never seen this movie before, but with your editing skills and your wonderful commentary, I was able to follow along. I like your Santa outfit. You're looking great.- Thomas
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for this reaction ❤ I'm watching those movies every Year on TV. Have a Good Time
My favorite part, smacking the pigeons 😂.
The two time U.S. President is in this movie...
He tries to help Kevin out.
His greatest achievement to this day
@@annabellaroma9886 The landslide victory in the election after two attempts on his life... And directly addressing the people by saying "fight fight fight" after a crazy leftie tried to kill him (and did kill a spectator). When 99% of humans would have just been hiding and running for cover... Was a pretty cool achievement too.
@@drewf8619 - Too dumb to duck doesn't count for much.
the first time I ever watch this film it was playing at Pre-School rented on VHS when I was 4 years old in 1993.
Great movie. I hope you won't forget to watch It's A Wonderful Life the ultimate Christmas movie.
Fyi you can see a clip of It's A Wonderful Life in this movie. and also in the first movie of Home Alone. It is the movie the family watchs on TV once in france and once in Florida becouse this movie is like I said the ultimate Christmas movie
Trump was beloved and popular when the movie was filmed, when the director screened the film for the first time everyone cheered when he came on screen. His popularity has only risen since then!
I love Duncan's reaction when he realizes it was Kevin who saved his store and the donation money for the children's hospital 👍🏼❤️
Have you seen Tim Curry as Pennywise in Stephen King's IT? He was terrifying!
I told you you'd love it! You asked about the mother. My real problem in both parts is with the wimpy father. In the first one the brother-in-law referred to Kevin as "you little jerk." If my brother-in-law called my son that we would definitely have words, maybe worse. But that father just stood there like a wimp. Once again, it was like I was seeing it for the first time. Merry Christmas!
I remember the reviews when this movie came out. They mentioned cartoon like violence. Looks like they were going for coyote and road runner stuff here.
I enjoy watching ur reactions Emma and would like to see ur reaction to home alone 3 it's funnier then 1 and 2 it's my favorite.
Hi Emma🌹Enjoy and have a Nice Weekend❄️
Of these actors there is only 1&2, 3 and 5 have a different story, with other actors, other names, another plot. The closest thing to this is 4 just with different actors but it's the same story as 1 & 2
Strong movie and sequel, if perhaps a little more out there than the pretty tightly scripted Home Alone. Really enjoyed your reaction.
Tim Curry! I think this was the first movie i ever saw him in, the second was Rocky Horror Picture Show 😅. I can't remember my reaction to finding out it was the same actor but i was probably amused and/or shocked. He's one of my favorite actors now.
when he's catching bricks in the head, i'm always like ... holy crap ... lol and he mumbles
A nice surprise!! I didn’t think we would get this until next year!!
😂
At 21:26 in the video, you can see director Chris Columbus for a brief moment on right of screen (holding little girl in red dress) in toy store.
Also a very memorable video game for the Sega Genesis, especially when playing through the Third Act of the film!! 😅
I never seen through many rats with wings in one place lol
Emma, you definitely need to watch the 3rd one. That was my introduction to the Home Alone movies. :)
Mr. President Trump spotted at 12:35 !
- "Have you had enough pain?"
- "NEVER!"
In Italian it sounds more funny because Kevin asks:"Did you have enough?"and, instead of answering:"MAI!"which is the"normal"translation of"never",Marv says:"GIAMMAI!"which is an ancient way of saying the same thing(kinda like if he said"thou"instead of"you")...I wasn't expecting that the 1st time I heared it.😅
Emma, I remembered the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center that was shot in the movie but now it’s been attacked on 9/11/2001 we’ll never forget 🕊️🇺🇸
This such a good Christmas movie 🎄🎄❤New York good place to visit at Christmas beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
When Kevin gets to ny that women in the airport is alley sheedy she was in the breakfast club movie
44:57 The actress who was the pigeon lady, Brenda Fricker, had previously presented Joe Pesci with his Oscar he won for "Goodfellas". As for this film, she presented him and Daniel Stern with a lot of birdseed.😁
enjoyed your reaction! 😁 thank you for sharing your laughter with us! 👍☺
Marv repeatedly getting hit in the face with bricks is #3 on my list of Top 5 Funniest Things I've Ever Seen.
First one is the better film, but part 2 has funnier physical gags.
19:00 , Luckily, yesterday I re-watched another Tim Curry movie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I recommend it to you.
And the Muppets Treasure Island
Hi Emma. Cool reaction!
Hello 😊 🙌
I enjoyed laughing along with you!
I'm so glad! 😜✨✨✨
Great video! Lol
I've seen the movie when I was a kid, in the movie theater in the 90s.
Or was it James Bond with Golden Eye?
Emma Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Yes! Please do 3, its a different story but its good😂
A great sequel. I think that Tim Curry and Rob Schnieder make this film even cooler and funnier. They are both hilarious together. I reiterate the recommendation for Home Alone 3 (1997). Its a different family and different actors. But, still very funny. Stars Alex D. Linz, Haviland Morris and a young Scarlett Johannson. Directed by Raja Gosnell, who was one of the production leads for this film. Finally, if you want to do another film with John Hughes script involvement under a pseudenymn, from 1992. I recommend "Beethoven" a great 1992 family drama. A great story about a cute St. Bernard Dog and his newfound family, The Newtons. Stars the late Charles Grodin, Bonnie Hunt, Christopher Castile, the late Dean Jones, Oliver Platt, Stanley Tucci and Introducing Joseph Gordon -Levitt. Produced by Ivan Reitman and Directed by Brian Levant. A great film. Great review Emma!
Home Alone 3 has Scarlett Johansson in her early career. It's an okay movie, not great, but better than the later Home Alones.
I first watched it on VHS at the age of 4 and it was fun, lol but terrifying in retrospect. And personally the best part about it was introducing me to the song "Home Again" by Oingo Boingo :3
After part 3 it all goes to shit. I think in part 5, 2 adults try to steal a toy from a house and fall into traps, but they were the good guys or something.
@wilsonsmanz I'll try not to spoil, but basically what happened was these two teachers had this rare doll, they needed the money to be able to pay their mortgage, but it went missing, they thought this kid had it but turns out they were wrong he didn't have it, when they realize his parents took off to Japan and accidentally left him home they offered to take him in until she could get home. Turns out they had the doll all along (their own kid had it) and they were able to pay the mortgage and all the damage to the house from the attempted break in.
@@marcpower4167 Well I watched it years ago. It was not memorable. So I wasn't actually wanted to know the plot. But good that you remember it
The best part double the traps of the previous film
one of my favorite movies
Movie masterpiece
There are several similarities between this movie and the original "Home Alone"
1. Buzz antagonizes Kevin and Kevin retaliates, but only Kevin gets punished and sent to the bedroom in the attic.
2. The alarm clock doesn't go off the morning of their trip and they barely make it to the airport in time
3. Kevin talks about being separated from his family at first with a shocked expression and then repeats it in a glad expression. ("I made my family disappear"/"My family is in Florida. I'm in
New York"
4. Kevin meets a stranger who seems frightening at first, but turns out to be very nice. The stranger even saves Kevin from the two crooks at the end.
5. The family in the motel room watch "It's a Wonderful Life"
6. Someone thinks a character in a gangster movie on tv is actually speaking to them.
7. Kevin orders a cheese pizza.
8. Someone behind a counter asks Kevin if he's by himself.
9. A scene from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is played along with a scene of someone doing something underhanded.
10. The movie ends with Kevin being yelled at by someone off camera.
Screenwriter John Hughes and director Chris Columbus have admitted that Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is really more of a remake of the first Home Alone and a sequel.
While a lot of movies use fake snow in the outdoor winter scenes, the snow in this movie was real. The set where the movie was filmed was hit by a blizzard on the day of filming and it actually got so cold the cameras froze.
While they steal the money from Duncan's Toy Chest, Harry says "Merry Christmas, Harry!" and Marv says "Happy Hanukkah, Marv!". Daniel Stern, who plays Marv, is Jewish in real life.
The man and daughter in Duncan's Toy Chest is the movie's director Chris Columbus and his daughter Eleanor Columbus.
Brenda Fricker, who played the Pigeon Lady, presented Joe Pesci with the Oscar that he won for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Goodfellas. When the announced the nominees for the award, instead of showing a scene from Goodfellas when they announced Joe Pesci's name, they accidentally showed a scene from Home Alone.
I love your reaction
Childhood's one hell of a drug.
if you want to see more movies with Macaulay Culkin as a child , i really recommend the movie "my girl" :)
Home Alone 2 was almost just as funny as the first!😉🤣
To me it was *more* funny than the 1st! It did every thing the 1st movie did but 6 times better!🤩
@Nicamon Oh yeah true that! Especially the part when those pigeons were all over those two fools and Marv screaming like CRAZY!!!🤣🤣🤣
Love your reaction to this! Not sure what your next reaction vid will be but you definitely need to check out The Good Son. It shows an absolutely dark and evil side to Macaulay Culkin.
Theres no fun, its kinda depressing and it shows how children can be evil if they really wanted to be.
Definitely a good one lol
I think this movie might have influenced me in a negative way, because I started stealing from my parents when I was too young to know better 😅
There's actually a movie mistake throughout the entire film. Kevin is 10 years old in this movie, but whenever someone mentions something from the first movie, they said it happened "last year". In the first movie, Kevin was only 8 years old. He can't be 10 one year later. This is mathematically impossible, even if Kevin's birthday falls around Christmas time.
38:25 Much like in the first one, Joe Pesci was told not to swear cause it's a family movie so he came up with that grumbling "gibberish".
Awesome and funny reaction! It’s impossible to not laugh at all the traps😂😂 I really hope you will watch Home Alone 3 and share your reaction to it! it’s actually my favourite of the movies 🤩🙏🏼
Yes there is a Home Alone 3. And it is also a very good movie, maybe not that emotional and wholesome as 1&2 but surely a fun watch. ❤
3 is still watchable. 4, 5 & 6 are a hard pass.
17:18 Tim Curry played a clown in early "It" movie and now clown yelling at Tim Curry
And Long John Silver in "The Muppets: Treasure Island
49:46 just think how much that bill would be today 2024 like $4,000 probably
Probably over $5,000 by now. Whether it's 1992 or 2024, I wouldn't want to be Kev when his dad got a hold of him. 🤣
Home Alone of my favorite old film since I do live in NYC. Also hello 👋🏻 😊
Loved this film as a kid in the early 90s but now it always gives me a tiny shock to see the Twin Towers in this movie. I know it is in a *lot* of films and tv from the 1990s but usually just in the background to establish we are in New York. Here Kevin actually goes up to the Observation Deck.
They filmed at the WTC not too long before the 1993 World Trade Center bombing
Awesome reaction! the Best 😃
You are a beauty, the outfit is stunning, the film Home Alone 2 is a masterpiece, I watch this magnificent film every New Year😊❤🤩😍🤗
1 & 2 are the only ones worth watching.
Home Alone 3, though very different. Is still very funny. Thr soundtrack is memorable in its own way, and the characters are surprisingly good. Home Alone 4 and 5 though are just ridiculous. They Butcher or completely eliminate characters from these two and the casting and ages of the characters do not mesh with these two though. I fully agree about 4, 5 and 6. What is good also about 3 is that it does nothing to alter any information or interfere with the two originals. Also, if you look at Home Alone 3 from a glass half full perspective. It would be just a small expansion of the Universe of these two films. I think Home Alone 3 is in the same universe as these two, just with a different family and a few years of time lapse after this film.
PLEASE WATCH JOE PESCI AGAIN IN LETHAL WEAPON 3 WITH A END CREDIT SCENE 😁. OKAY, OKAY, OKAY, OKAY.
The season of Christmas has begun 😁
Christmas adventures of Clint Eastwood when he was a little kid, part 2.
I watched this tonight!
I'd fed pigeons from the palm of my hand before. It was not at all physically painful. That's why I ever since then I would always wonder to myself "Then why was Marv's screaming hysterically when the pigeons were eating the seeds that were stuck to his clothes which clearly protected his skin? What was his problem?" Then I learned that with him having an irrational fear of birds, having too many pigeons on him deeply frightened him. He was scared of them even when he saw them roosting in the trees. Just like how I'm afraid of snakes. Like if a snake was on me, even if it wasn't biting me, I would probably still get hysterical in the same manner as Marv
That was indeed Trump, it was filmed in his hotel, and the deal he made with the production was that they were allowed to use the hotel in the movie if he had that small cameo.
Not surprised that he basically did it for free. He does that a lot actually including the salary from his presidency. For free, in fact it costs him money to be president. When people like Obama somehow get rich from being president.
In Germany,Home alone 1+2 very popular.
