The studio tour hasn’t been great these days, lots of stuff is under construction or maintenance like earthquake that has been down for a few months already and recently bates motel and war of the worlds areas are walled off. I wish they would remove the Nope set
Earthquake is been under refurbishment for a year, over by the world of war set there’s been a sinkhole but to the storms. And for the set Nope it that’s not going anywhere it opened back 2022.
The tour, in the late 60’s, was 2 1/2 hours long. It went through so many parts of the backlot and we even would get off the tram for sone quick walk throughs. There was even a break, where you would get off and look at movie props and get food items. In those days, once the tram ride was over, you could walk around the park and actually meet up with some celebrities who were filming. Those were really fun times. The tram tour was better then, in my opinion!
This sounds more like what you can experience at Warner Brothers or Paramount studios now. Universal is now more theme park than studio, but often people forget, there is a real studio there.
This was cool, but sometimes, you couldn’t hear the tour guide. Also, maybe install a 3D lens, so that we could experience the two big shows on the tour. Thank you for the vid!
I am considering getting a microphone for this. I had never sat in the front of the car and wanted to get that view through the front, but unfortunately that affected the sound at times. Check out my past studio tour videos, there are maybe close to 10, and most have better audio than this one!
Excellent video! I’ve visited Universal about 8 times in the last 15 years and I enjoy how much it changes each time we’re there. I’m counting down to my next visit and this video brings the excitement! 😊
I was there Super Bowl weekend. I was sooo bummed that we didn’t get to go through, King Kong, earthquake, bates motel, war of world’s plane crash scene and Truman show ocean scene. Sucked!
They probably won't for quite a while. He's a pretty permanent fixture since he has his own attraction in Orlando, and I saw he recently did a bit there with The Rock for his show.
anyone know what happened to the earthquake attraction? it’s been down for months and months and i’ve been wondering why? at first i thought they were changing it or fixing it, but it’s taking way to long.
I haven’t been here in such a long time and I remember the classics (King Kong,Jaws, flood) but the fast in the furious part looks so bad, even the old one from before when cars start dancing. they really just need to do something else already it’s ass 😂
Apparently they moved out a while ago but this is the first guide I've heard mention it. It appears that Stage 12, where they used to film, is either being torn down or refurbished. I'm not sure exactly because this plan was first announced in 2020 and it's still sitting there.
The Voice production was offered 2 new stages in which they currently film at. I believe these stages are equipped with offices and such as to stage 12 was just a big stage with nothing more than that.
Wait there were two? I didn’t know the one in the parking was always there. Oh uh that’s actually sad but you know at least they are using their limited space compared to Disney, what a joke. And no I’m not a blind Disney hater in fact that’s what makes it more frustrating for me. And I went off again with an essay long comment lol.
There is a Jurassic World ride which used to be Jurassic Park in the theme park. This is the studio tour which departs from the theme park, included with admission to Universal Hollywood.
Sad, there's lot of 3d stuff in tour With lack of security around, doubt those studios r actually be used Always enjoy the Jaws part, hope they keep it and running well x
They’re actively filming studios, and get used all the time. Guests are not allowed to get off the tram or it would be trespassing. And there’ll be security if there’s a hot set at the back lot, and the tour guide would also have to get off the mic to not interrupting the recording. If you go on the studio tour on weekends, you get to see more of the back lot and the whole metro set would open to tour, cuz most of the filming crews don’t work on weekends.
The studio is very active. Almost all the sound stages and offices are being used and usually the outdoor sets as well, so many areas are skipped on the weekdays. This was filmed on a weekend. It is very difficult to get off the tram, there is a big door that is lowered. Security is everywhere and people definitely try to wander onto the backlot from the theme park, and they get promptly caught and escorted right off the lot. Most of those people have had too much to drink at Horror Nights so it's not even intentional.
Now thats an hour of my life I'll never get back... this was rather boring, even the people on the tram looked so bored... even "Bruce" had no effect on them...........

I thought they removed the earthquake section? Glad to see it’s just being repaired. And yes I agree I didn’t like the nope section
i think nope is getting removed next year not sure tho just based on what i heard
They just installed the nope set. Not going Away
Yeah the Nope set is really boring, has everyone looking around like idiots just for some sounds while nothing is going on.
Thank u I can't get to Hollywood as I'm from Scotland thank u so much

I believe that’s how the VIP tour works nowadays at the Universal Studios😂
@@Hubgrass yeah but that came free with admission versus how much extra the VIP tickets are
studio tour is a good ride to recharge after going on some of the other rides first

AH YES THE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD TRAM TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So, they no longer take you by the Psycho House & War of the Worlds sets?
They will, just not right now, while that area is being refurbished.
@@Hubgrasshow long will that be for?
Wish they would get rid of Jimmy Fallon

48:19 this is my new favorite part of fast and furious: supercharged from universal studios tour.
Nice channel
It’s Better with some Ted Lol
They need to add some to the tour like where they had the old fast and the furious close-up is still sitting empty

And, I think I’ll be there in April again.
Okay
Have fun :D
Yes
Why did they move the soundstage location of the Voice?

Not like how it used to be when I was a kid with King Kong Encounter, Collapsing Bridge, F&F Xtreme Close-Up, the Mummy Tomb. It’s just not the same 😔
It sucks that they removed The UNIVERSAL CITY Sign , such a rich piece of universal history gone forever , RIP UNIVERSAL CITY SIGN (1964-2023)
I agree! I am wondering if they might put it back or display it elsewhere on property...we shall see.
Umm it’s actually on top of the parking garages near city walk that classic sign
@@johnbrando5336 this sign? insidethemagic.net/2023/08/universal-studios-hollywood-park-icon-cj1/
