As a kid, "earthquake" felt so real. To me, it looked like that water was going to flood into the tram. It was the perfect amount of scare at the time. Blast from the past.
After they removed Back to the Future: The Ride, I was afraid they would eventually tear down the clock tower from the backlot too, but I'm glad they kept it.
@Rycel2001 They removed the Back to the Future ride? That sucks. I've always wanted to ride it, but never got the chance to go to Universal Studios. I went to Disney World though.
Depending on the year the tram ride use to stop two or three times in the 70s and early 80s'. 1st was at a prop place with rest area, a place that showed a few actors apartments that were onset and I forget what the third one was. Eventually it just became a ride where you saw the sets in about and hour and a half.
I can’t stop laughing during that scene. It just looks so bad that I’m sure they’re counting the days until the coaster opens, so they can rightfully shut the piece off 💩 down!
On Earthquake they need to restore the swinging electric telegraph pole and the Tesla coils on both sides! Fog effects have also been cut, ceiling sparks reduced. Lame that the lighting is so bright in there now, they’ve eliminated the darkness and the intensity that goes with it. These are simple fixes that can go a long way.
@@Izz.mp4Work lights kept on maybe? Because there was still minor work that needed to be done, or they were monitoring it, making sure it was working just fine.

Wow, they f’ed up the war of the worlds set. The passenger plane looks like it was chopped up and all of it looks a lot less impressive then it was, looked more real before now it looks like a cheap set
exactly what I was thinking. The set before looked like chaos ensued and it was amazing. When I saw it on this video first thing I said was "why did they do this!?"
My thinking is they trashed it with the add ons from Holloween Horror Nights and it needed a refurb. But yeah, now there isnt a chaos feel to it anymore.
@1ronEntertainment the wreckage was split in half. The tram drove through the middle before. It wasnt stricken to just one side. They allowed people to walk through it last year apart of HHN.

No matter how bad it may be relative to every other part of the tram tour, the Fast & the Furious segment will probably stay for a long time simply because of how expensive it was to produce. Honestly, I would rather have the Avalanche/Mummy rotating tunnel back. This may just be my age talking, but I've never liked any of the 3-D surround attractions on the tour (Skull Island & FatF).
