As someone who is disabled, struggles to get out a lot and especially to afford travel, these videos are so wonderful for me. Your videos are so detailed and personal it almost makes me feel like I'm there with you. Thank you for your content Tim it brightens my days :)
Especially since 99 percent of the worlds population couldn't afford to stay even one night, let alone get to Dubia. But there are also lots of rich people out there.

I agree, I will never get to see these amazing places in real life so it is fantastic to see your trips. Being disabled I wonder how difficult it would be there....do they rent out mobility scooters?
That shower is a no go for me, I’d have a panic attack if I couldn’t open the door! Was bad enough just watching you trying to open it

@@traceyabbott193 I never had a problem with this sort of thing until I woke up in a tent in the dark, I couldn’t find the zip and just went nuts and destroyed the tent trying to escape 😂 ever since I can’t stand being in tight spaces
I appreciate Tim's thoroughness in noting minor things about the place that are little off, like the musty smell or dirty balcony, that others might choose to ignore in their trip videos.

What amazes me about Dubai is the clientele. They obviously have lots of money but not much else as regards taste. I couldn't imagine people from the Shires wanting to holiday in such an elaborate complex. It appears cheap and branded, with little authenticity or soul. Give me the wild and unpredictable terrain of natural surroundings, anyday of the week.
I live in the northeast corner of New Jersey (where somewhat surprisingly, we have dense woods, with bears, coyotes, foxes - and I can only see one other house from mine) and I felt the same way. Everything is big and gaudy. Dubai has never been a 'bucket list' place for me so I'm happy to experience it second hand - but I will definitely watch some other videos from Tim now!

Luxurious but a little tacky in places. Doesn’t seem like much soul to the hotel. That said the aquarium is amazing. Great video.
The production value on your videos is top notch Tim! Your drone work especially the end shot on each video is outstanding! I push pause on the end scene just to take it all in so please don’t stop doing it. The end shot of Liverpool on the Titanic video looked like a painting. Your attention to detail, forthrightness, dry humor and tv hosting talent makes you the best travel channel bar none. Keep shooting for the stars and you’ll hit one million in no time. Bravo! 👏🏻🙌🏻

Bit of a change from a Pontin’s at Grimsby, that’s for sure! Definitely an eye opener- my parents lived in Dubai in the late 90s and we saw the skeleton on the Burj Al Arab as it was being built. Stunning place, almost slightly unreal. Great video Tim
OMG indeed! An incredible hotel. Appreciate being able to experience it with you. I was surprised at the cost, a lot less than I was expecting. (No doubt if a certain person views this they will totally disagree with me!)

Go in June its cheaper! Around 180 -220gbp a night. Includes water park access which is usually 60gbp per person

Beautifully themed Hotel (of course based on the ancient mythological city of Atlantis, said to have been submerged underwater.) I loved the aquariums design continuing on the theme with the surface littered with ancient ruins. That 4K a night hotel suite really encapsulated Atlantis undersea for me, just incredible. Thx for the video Tim.

I think £1200 is a fair price considering the size of the suite and the other facilities. I was a bit surprised about the flooding inside and the state of the floor between rooms though.

Half board is never worth it. It's cheaper to pay for breakfast and dinner than have it bundled, ESPECIALLY as a solo traveler. and you never have to worry about what is included or not, just pick the restaurant you want and eat what you want.

@TooTTiFruiTTi Board Basis refers to what you get for your money with a hotel booking. You can have 'Room only' [no food or drink included], Breakfast included, Half Board [Breakfast and Dinner included for each day you stay], Full Board [breakfast, lunch, dinner all included], All inclusive [breakfast, lunch and dinner included plus snacks, ice cream etc.] I hope this helps

honestly this is one of the rare time I'd consider staying at an expensive hotels if I had the money, the place is pretty and I loved the aquarium especially.

travel tip -- not an advert with a good vpn you can change the origin location of your computer --- some hotel chains charge different amounts depending where you are booking from /// different countries // sometimes if a hotel thinks you are in say USA you will get a better rate than if they think you are in germany or UK for example //// - worth researching be aware some hotels are getting wise to this ...

Imagine paying extra for the beach club and then have music blasting all the time. Hotes was impresaive though.

I love the variation of hotels that you explore. My goodness, the room you had in this hotel is bigger than my apartment! Post-retirement, I plan to explore the other side of the ocean as I will have more time but until then, I will keep myself to a flying time of 5 hrs max, even in business or first. There is only so much wine that I can drink before switching over to water:) Thank you again for another great video. Maybe in those retirement years, I will learn how to use the video function on my phone and produce content as well, if I have the patience, lol. Take care!

Thankyou once again tim for sharing this. It looked lovely but not in my budget but i did enjoy seeing inside this hotel. I dont think i would like the fish looking at me in the bath but good they said you need to pull the curtains to protect you from being seen by other guests . It so interesting to experience through your videos all these luxury places
Brings back memories , stayed there 13 years ago as a once in a lifetime experience, which I would not want to miss !

Thank you for the great Vlog - looks amazing and so comfortable although pricey for me TBH i thought it would have been way more for the suite! love the vlogs and how you keep it real ! You should try Bali they have some of the most beautiful hotels - I love Bali and been over 20 times - live in Australia so its the Ozzie go to place. I am sure you would love it! Food is great and cheap and the people are beautiful, friendly and helpful. You could hire a Villa and take the family!

Had to giggle at temps up to 40 degrees. When I moved to the UAE last year the day I landed was 48. 40 is basic not max. Hope next time you come it’s not raining. Doesn’t rain often but when it does a lot of things shut down.

I stayed there for 5 nights 8 years ago. Absolutely AMAZING! Definitely one of the highlights of my travels. Dined in Ossiano underneath the beautiful aquarium- INSANE PERFECTION!
The extra “plain suite” would probably be used for an Au pair or similar helper I would think. This is Dubai after all.😁Thank you for the wonderful luxurious experience of first class travel to an iconic city!❤

We love Atlantis in Dubai, with the only downside being that when you holiday elsewhere afterwards you are always disappointed 😏

Another corker of a video, Tim! You always visit really cool places and no doubt inspire many thousands of people to check them out too. I was never really sure if Dubai was my cup of tea but I'm really interested to give it a go now.
Great review as always Tim! I avoid staying in hotels this large; I much prefer smaller luxury or boutique hotels. I think the hotel all looks a little bit cheap and tacky, but I'm sure the Atlantis is great fun especially if you're travelling as a family. I can definitely see the appeal for this kind of resort, but for me the hotel gives off all inclusive cruise liner vibes which is just not my cup of tea. Each to their own though!

Wow! That glass sculpture in the lobby. I am familiar with the artist's work. I saw a whole exhibition of his glass sculptures in San Francisco in 2007 or 2008. Spectacular stuff.

omg tim great memories i had there. Flying back from philipines we stayed 2 nights in that aquaruim room. Best thing ever. Ultimate calm. One more thing if its still available Fly the uber helecopter. Just fly it anywhere get a great view. Epic vid loved it and miss dubai so much.

The hotel looked like a posh shopping mall and I can't stand malls so that would put me off but the swimming pool areas looked lovely. I like old buildings as it enriches the soul so not sure what Dubai would offer me apart from the weather. I was surprised at the hotel room as I would have thought attention to detail would be high here but the carpets, shower door, would be a big annoyance at that money. But when you think back about when these were built and who built them and the timescales they were given it's not surprising some things aren't perfect.
I agree about the shopping mall vibe, takes away the charm but makes oodles of money...the building itself looks beautiful from a distance, but the leaking interior is dangerous (risk of slipping) etc. Not acceptable. Also would that outdoor'club' area always have that loud music blaring during the day i wonder ? Love Tim's careful, fascinating videos.

That hotel is amazing! So beautiful. I would love to stay there.
It looks overblown, tacky and tasteless. The smelly hallway, tatty carpets, dirty balcony floor and plastic phones are a big let down. I found it depressing and soulless and not worth the money. Cheers for the tour though Tim!

I can't say I am overly impressed with the interior. Colour, design or the hotel as a whole,quite tasteless.
A nice hotel but it's hard for me to enjoy this one with Dubais record on human rights and the slave labour used in building these vast projects.

Amazing and bad luck with the weather! I've been to the orginal Atlantis in the Bahamas - it was similarly styled and was just amazing. I'd love to go to this one - one day!
