Maybe it’s my age but I think the 80’s produced some of the most iconic movies. Watching these videos of those movies makes me feel old. How time flies.

I don't recall Lucy getting turned into a vampire, but looking at her, (Dianne Weist), then and now photos, I have to imagine that she is immortal.. She still looks INCREDIBLE!

I think it could be good. If it is done in the same spirit as the first one. Scary but funny at the same time. And updating it to include how we live our lives now, as opposed to the 80s. I think it could work.

Leave this movie alone. It's fine and doesn't need rebooted. It's one of my favorite movies and Jack Bauer is the reason I like vampires. And Billy is still one fine man.
A remake of "The Lost Boys" may be interesting, but NO REMAKE would be half as successful as this one. This is also a peice of nostalgia that WE want to hold onto. No remake.

I love that movie,I saw the movie at the movie theatre 7times,and me and my oldest brother had our dad buy us the converse weapon purple gold and white hightops at the shore store and I love Corey Haims cool bad ass wardrobe ,I went and bought white pants and I even bought sunin at the store and sprayed the front of my hair blonde like Cory's in the movie .I had his same kind of hair ,and I went and had my ear pierced like Cory's in the movie .And I even bought the movie poster at the videostore.it was all so cool back then I was a freshman in highschool I was 15years old at the time I remember when the movie came out in summer of 87.
They need to stop all these remakes. If they want to take up They story as a continuation fine but it can never be redone. It was popular because it was made at the right time with the right cast. The 80’s had an air about it that makes this movie great today. All my kids love it. They are fans of 80’s movies. If remade it would not be the same and they agree. Times gave changed. Let this cast carry the torch always to remake it would be like trying to remake young Frankenstein or have another Tony Stark. It can’t be done. Some people were just born to be that character. Leave this master piece alone! I haven't yet seen a remake that beats the original movie yet. The Lost Boy's was so well casted, written, shot and even the sound track was brilliant you will never be able to recreate the same feel of the movie.
I don't believe any movie remake will make this one better, it is known as one of the best for its characters, soundtrack, setting and location as well as the make-up and props for the time, they did a great job by not over doing it. I would leave this one alone , it is still to this day one of the best ever made.

There is absolutely NO NEED to remake it. Filmmakers nowadays are messing with original perfection as they already did way before starting with Psycho (1960) then from the 1970s and 80s to 1990. So don't destroy this one, The Lost Boys either.
My xxxxxxxx gf in Toronto, her brother was a security guard at the Eaton Centre in 87, when Corey Haim was doing promo work for the movie. He said that Corey was really cool and just asked the security staff that no one was to touch him during the promotions. At first, they thought he was being kind of a rude little Hollywood prick, but later on, he bought them all drinks, yeah this was the late eighties, and explained that he had been hit, and punched by young women so often, that he was always scared, as he was only fourteen years old. RIP Corey, sad how this young man's life ended

Lost Boys was my first vampire movie from back when I was a kid. I still have a poster of them that came from a Teen Beat magazine.
I regret not having bought a poster when I had the chance. What a great movie.
