- It's FINALLY here! This was technically 15 years in the making. There is a whole story about why it took so long and it's explained in the video. The last 20 minutes of this video is basically an interview with Alex Winter at one of the locations and it's AWESOME! He tells stories I've never heard before and I'm very grateful he took the time to join me at one of the locations from the film. I hope you all enjoy it!

I love how this was different compared to every other lost boys filming location. The fact that you got alex winter to do some of the locations with you makes it even better. Great job Sean
Glad you enjoyed it.
@malfuncsean I still believe do do do 😅
Alex, winter is a real vampire. He doesn’t aged a single day. He seems like a very down to earth guy.
Alex Winter has something I like to call the Macchio Gene. You can tell who was born with it by the fact that they look like geriatric teenagers.
The 80's were magical. Sean puts alot of time and energy into providing us this entertainment. Nostalgia sure is fun.
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, I grew up on this movie! My Uncle is actually in the background when they're riding down the steps on their bikes, he's in the blue jacket lol. Top notch as always man! This made my day! *cheers*
That’s awesome.
Nice job Sean. How’s the Pillar of Souls treating you?
@@Michael-bl4no Better than Prop Store is.
now i have to watch it and find your uncle
He's on the right, with dark hair, a light blue jacket, and white pants. He's kinda hard to make out, but it's him.@@supersixx1
That was very nice of Alex to show up and tell his experiences and memories of shooting The Lost Boys. So interesting and insightful. Most excellent Sean.
There's about a dozen movies I can just watch over and over... and The Lost Boys is one of them.
I totally agree ❤
How unbelievably cool you got to have Alex tell his story at the bridge.
One thing we seem to have lost with digital media vs disc or cassette, is the behind the scenes, cast interviews and its a massive shame. Thankyou for this. More please…..❤
To this day, The Lost Boys is my favorite vampire movie and the fact that you brought “Marko” on board to explain the scenes that took place on the bridge is absolutely awesome. Thank you my friend. This video totally pays tribute to the movie and to our friend Corey Haim. God rest his soul. His loss was a tough one for me. I am a fan of Corey and will always be. This video is also a tribute to all the actors that were in the movie and are no longer with us. 🙏🏻
Man, you knocked this one out of the park. This Lost Boys episode was fantastic! It's already one of my favorite HHG episodes.
Nobody does it like Sean. This is my favorite horror movie and you guys killed it! Also loved the “Michael I like Michael” delivery lmao 😂😂
Damn it's good to see Alex again. I grew up watching that guy in some of my favorite movies as a kid. Thanks for giving us a trip down memory lane.
Freaked being one of them for me I quote that movie a lot
I went on pilgrimage from Sydney Australia to Santa Cruz in 2017 and hunted down many of the locations. This filled in the missing pieces and the interview with Alex was awesome! Thanks so much for making this.
I was around 14 when "The Lost Boys" first came out on VHS. I think it held a special place in my group of friends' hearts because it basically felt like a fictional, idealized version of our own reality. We were a bunch of chronically unsupervised Gen X Punks who all grew up in a once-prosperous, faded seaside resort on the West Coast of Scotland. All we had in the summer was causing trouble: drinking beers, getting high, chasing girls, and running around the various arcades and fairgrounds on the run-down two-mile stretch of promenade. It sure wasn't Northern California, but in our young, naive minds, we kinda pretended it was, lol. Man, nostalgia sure is a hell of a drug!
On a side note, I really wish they'd do something with Grandpa's house. That could be a really cool tourist/fan destination. Just like the Silence of the Lambs and Christmas Story house.
Had the pleasure of seeing Alex at a Bill and Ted Marathon and he truly is as he appears. Super down to earth, really generous with his time and genuinely excited about everything he has been a part of. Really lovely guy.
I used to spend every Christmas Eve in Palos Verdes. I had no idea until around a year ago that I had driven by and spent so much time right down the street from The Lost Boys cave!! Too cool.
It’s funny how David (Kiefer Sullivan) Marco(Alex Winter) and the other members of the vampire group have very little lines in the movie. However, it was more or their presence and their look that make us remember their characters. Great job . Loved this episode.
Awesome Sean! Best vampire movie ever! I listen to the soundtrack everyday.
Right on. I bought my copy (CD) back in 1996 while stationed in Turkey. Fantastic soundtrack.
Going to see this on opening weekend was my first date with my wife. Always a fond memory for us. We have met every Lost Boys actor who has ever come to HorrorHound Indy. I hope one of the ladies make it sometime. Enjoyed finally meeting Alex this year and saying hello to you.
This is amazing. I remember me & my late Best friend loved this film. It built into such a cult classic & beyond. Real Shame Haim & McCarter passed away. Sorry for your loss. ❤. Thanks for doing this & major Respect to Mr Winter for coming out. ❤☝️💫🤩
I live in Santa Cruz. My favorite movie is still The Lost boys. Dayum and with Marko so freaking cool. I'm still hella jealous that you have all their jackets 😊
Of course Sean would own all the jackets, holy shitake mushroom 😂. That's frickin awesome
This makes it that much more awesome the detail and the stories that happened at that time. Alex Winter adds the icing on the cake making it that much better giving details on the locations.
Great video and tribute to everybody involved in The Lost Boys. Joel Schumacher passed in June 2020 also. I grew up with this timeless fun horror masterpiece and still like it to this day.
Sadly I never got to meet Joel.
@@malfuncsean still really cool to hear alex talk about joel at the bridge scene.
Wow...what a great episode! I've loved this movie since it came out. And what a treat to hear Alex Winter's behind the scenes stories...legendary! 🤘
The Lost Boys is my favorite movie of all time. I've seen a lot filming location vids for it, but this is by far the most comprehensive. Great work, as always, Sean. Thank you so much.
I hope you get 35 million views on this. Best LB location video on here and I bet the Haimster would’ve wanted you to put it out.
"I STILL BELIEVE" 🎷
I still believe , always and forever.
Meant to throw up a sweaty sax emoji but there is none. We really need to get up to speed 😂
I still believe 🎷🎷🎷❤

Anyone else watch these to unwind at the end of a stressful day? Very calming. Thankyou Sean.
I can never get enough of these videos covering the filming locations of this movie. I am a Santa Cruz native, and was a kid growing up there at the time this movie was being filmed. I remember watching the dirt bike race at the beach from the wharf, and my family and I were on the pirate ship ride during the opening credits.
And the Pogonip clubhouse, that was used for the exterior of grandpa's house was only a half a mile away from the house I grew up in. So The Lost Boys is very special to me, because it is a piece of my own life.
Dude....this is AWESOME!!! Worth the wait brother! "YOU KILLED MARCO..YEAH YOU'RE NEXT....NAH YOU'RE NEXT"
RIP...BROOK AND COREY
Yesss!!! Finally the HHG Lost Boys Filming location video! I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time. The very best one in my opinion. Love the interview with Alex by the bridge. Another fantastic video Sean! Thanks for all your hard work. RIP Corey, Brooke, Joel, & Barnard.
Finally made it to Santa Cruz this last October for first time and loved it. Grew up here in WA state and we idolized all the thrash, skate punk, skating and BMX that was coming up our way back in the 80's. This was awesome thank you! Haim was also an awesome child actor. Definitely a big part of that decade! Silver Bullet he was so damn good in. ✌️
Brilliant, one of your best movie location videos yet. I like that you give the viewers time to compare the original to the present day shots. Keep up the good work.
What an enjoyable episode. Don't know what I enjoyed more , Grandpa's house & learning it's history or that counter in Max's video store. Yeah kids , you too will go ape over a 40 year piece of furniture someday , somewhere. Alex is a good dude to listen to talking about his Lost Boys experience.
And what I'd give for that Vampires Everywhere comic , may call the shop to inquire.
This doesn't go under appreciated , thank you hearty for this very special treat. Those beautiful boardwalk shots hit the spot. Thanks again guys.
Edit is because I suck at typing stuff out on small devices
Someone on Etsy actually makes a replica of the vampire comic. I bought one a while back. Really well done. Has the front, back, and even a couple pages on the inside.
The comic store in Santa Cruz sells a special edition replica of the comic. The owner who Sean pointed out is in the background of the movie and still works there. He’s an amazing guy who shared some behind the scene stories went i went to geek out there last year and visit the filming locations.
Hellooo from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park...i had to send this to my buddy who's a huge Lost Boy's fan ..thank you!🏞️🙏
These will never get old. Thanks for doing them.
Damnnnn it just keeps getting better
Thanks for all the content! I believe people only truly die if we let their memories fade. So IMO you are doing the most respectful thing for your friend. Take care, have a good Christmas!
Great work as always, Sean! Super cool that Alex was able to join you and share his memories.
This was so great! I just love how you do these film location videos. Very enjoyable to watch. Thanks for the bonus of having Alex Winter join you! I've been a Lost Boys fan since its release in theaters.
You sir, deserve all of the subscribers and all of the views. You are one of the absolute best on TH-cam. Besides the perfect shot lineups and attention to detail, you always go above and beyond and many times have stars from the films in the videos with you along with behind the scenes and other info not commonly known. I stay annoyed that you are one of the slept on TH-camrs. Anyway, amazing job as always!!!!!!
I love the work put into these man. Thanks so much for this.
Another great video and definitely the most in depth one I've seen for the Lost Boys locations. Great work Sean
Outstanding Sean!! The way you find every shot and film the current location from the same perspective is amazing. It makes it clear that you’re doing these as a FAN instead of looking for hits - the almost twenty years between the earliest footage and now is a testament to that! Thank you for all the work so we can live vicariously through you. Sincerely - THANK YOU!
One of my favorite films EVER, and this just helped accentuate my next viewing - awesome stuff, Sean!
Awesome job on this man, really enjoyed it. Loved the movie and still watch it at times.
I saw when Adam the Woo did it along time ago but I must say I really enjoyed this a lot better went more into detail about the filming locations and the fact that you got Alex Winter to share his thoughts and stories great job really enjoyed it. This is my favorite childhood movie the posters in our guest bedroom.
That was awesome shaun, I've been to these locations too, amazing you met Alex W and love the conversation you both had. Fantastic
Excellent as usual Sean!
Thank You
Great video Sean! That movie takes me back to good times in my life, I still remember watching this movie in a theater for the first time when it was released, still today one of my favorite movies of all time!
Well done , love hearing Alex's stories I'm a huge 80s nostalgia geek. He gave a great interview on the Death Wish 2 Blu-ray. If I lived in California I'd be checking out movie locations all the time.

Many thanks Sean. I appreciate your very detailed explanations pointing out physical locations and the related scenes, as well as making the distinction between the parts that are filmed using studio sets. Very interesting. And of course, so very cool to hear what Mr Alex has to say about his experience.
Very cool video ! The interview with Alex was not expected and very very cool to watch

I totally understand and respect the time delay for releasing your video but thank you for finally doing it! The interview with Alex Winter is probably the best interview I've seen from the film. Great work Sean.

Awesome video, Really enjoyed the stories from Alex Winter. Loved seeing the locations, Great work man. Funny seeing people walk by you guys on the bridge and dont even realize a great actor is right there.
Very cool Sean! thank you for putting in the work, and effort to make such a honorable tribute and a glimpse into such an iconic film from a lot of our childhoods. I am shocked grampa's house just sits there, is it in the middle of nowhere? It looks like a nice piece of property. and your gf )Nae)sp? really nailed the Starr impression hahaha. Good to see Alex give his stories too!
This was a great location video, always happy to see Alex Winter in things :)

Awesome video... You really get into the details of these films locations
This ABSOLUTELY was the BEST filming locations video for The Lost Boys I have EVER seen!
Thanks for doing this video again! Brings back a lot of memories I have family in Santa Cruz I am from New York I broke my leg on that corner right in front of the lighthouse on my motorcycle, was very lucky I almost lost the leg
I spent every summer in Santa Cruz during my teens.
Fun fact: The guy during the opening credits that is airbrushing the shirt was also the one that painted their bikes for the movies. He had his own business right across from The Boardwalk.
"Easiest 5k he ever made." His exact words 😅
I have been out of California for about 20 years now so I don't know if it still exists.
Absolutely brilliant!!!! Thank you much love and respect ✌🏼
Amazing! thanks for all your hard work brother!!!
