    A little correction: The jacket does have inner pockets, in the video I did not see them. I still love the clothes by the way - I've been wearing them a lot lately!

    I was anxious for you to get on to the high-waist trousers, because they are SO hard to find, even 3 years on from the posting of this video - and it's a fit I need because of my elderly build. But I stopped being impatient, because I was very impressed by your jacket, which fits you perfectly. My current favourite online tailor is iTailor, who have made 2 suits, and 2 pairs of trousers for me - I don't wish to desert them: their quality of service deserves loyalty; but Collaro looks like being another place to go if, for any reason, I have to.

    Alles in allem: super service, gutes Produkt!

      P.S: Mein Favorit bei den Kragen ist definitiv der Luca, aber als Hidden Button Down.
      Sehr subtil, aber ein fantastischer „collar roll“ und trotzdem super mit einem kleinen Krawattenknoten.

    They just added odd jackets, with choice of unstructured/ half canvas / full, and sleeves only / half / full lining too. If I was more sure of what measurements I wanted, I might be tempted to get one even though there are still no occasions to wear one anywhere (hopefully, not for long). But I feel like I need to have something made in person first to know what measurements I should ask.

      @@SartorialStyles ahahah nice, looking forward to it. My other strong candidate that I found in my online searches is actually a Spanish one (for once, in EU!), ever heard of LopezAragon1976?
      They make an incredible variety of cool designs, particularly spanish jackets (tebas), and pictures on facebook look stunning. Prices are great for custom orders in quality fabrics (and piece of mind of no additional taxes), plus they will make odd sizes as well as long/short sizes at no extra, or basically M2M for small upcharges. The only problem is apparently no one on the net has heard of them and as such I can find absolutely no reviews.

  • @Lassehansen3
    @Lassehansen3 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Absolutely beautiful pieces 👌 my suggestions (only well meant) if you like high rise trousers you should consider 1) a lightly shorter tie, 2) a tie knot making the tie slightly shorter or 3) simply (as I actually sometimes will do if the tie gets a little long 😅) stuff the tie into your trousers 👍

    • @SartorialStyles
      @SartorialStyles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks a lot! I think with high-rise trousers it's quite acceptable when the tie exceeds the waistband of the pants, especially when the tie does not peak (too much) underneath the jacket. I do agree with you though - stuffing the tie into the trousers is a great option that I love to use as well! :-)

    You may probably think I'm just a random noname, but hear me out, IMO tying a belt of a safari jacket in front really turns it into a bathrobe, stylistically speeking it's better to leave it undone or to tie it behind. Just my point of view!

    • @SartorialStyles
      @SartorialStyles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Leaving it undone looks tacky in my opinion. If it has a belt, I belt it. Same goes for trousers - if they have belt loops, it looks weird not to use them. Tieing it behing is something I never tried though, I might look into this!

    What is the name of the waist cinching tab on the pant? I wanted to add those to several pairs of pants I already own and when I went to different tailors to inquire about them NOBODY knew what I was talking about. I was totally confused. How does one ask for those, what do I call them? I'm asking from America so if the name is regional give me the name for the American version please and thanks.

      @@SartorialStyles Perfect, thank you so much for sharing the link. That is quite an expensive shit as well - getting close to rivaling some top Italian and British custom-makers. Do you find that the quality suits the price? Any reservations about purchasing them again?

    • @SartorialStyles
      @SartorialStyles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thscful I'd wait for a sale, they sometimes have 20% to 30% off on shirts. The quality is amazing though, it's the best shirt fabric of all the shirts I have in my wardrobe. It's super soft, not see-through, easy to iron and still feels like a proper cotton cloth. This combined with the mother of pearl buttons, great buttonholes and cut - it probably is my favourite shirt and worth the price.
      Another note: Lanieri promised me to send a discount code for my audience next week. I'll let you know then I have the code. :-)

      yeah, I would love to order from yeossal, but import taxes dissuade me. Any time I've ordered from outside EU it's been taxed, including UK after Brexit (not duties, but still VAT + extra fee by courier for customs paperwork), so I can't say anything but "lucky you" when people say they didn't have to pay import taxes.

    • @SartorialStyles
      @SartorialStyles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Full price of a safari jacket in this certain fabric would be 439 SGD + 20 SGD shipping. With 19% German import taxes added, it's 546 SGD. That translates to about 343 Euros. I think it is still great value for the money, especially considering the very nice fabric and the good craftsmanship of the jacket. I agree though - SuitSupply for example will be cheaper. But they don't offer the customizations and they are not made to measure. After all, I would have ordered this jacket at a price of 343 Euros as well!

    I think your clothes would all look better if you gained some muscular weight and filled them out a bit. It is the first thing I notice when you model. You are very slight of build and that is very hard for any clothier to compensate for.
