Low gearing means faster acceleration but loses top end, unlike these hyper type cars accelerating from 100mph to 200mph is what counts not terminal speeds..

@@CarClique2000 No, not in this case. Your info is way outdated. Koenigsegg changed options months ago and are now offering two versions of Gemera. One with 1400 hp (TFG) as in this video and one with their V8 and 2400 hp.
Fotnote. IF fuel was a decisive factor, it should be reported for all vehicles in the list.
It's pronounced (yesko) and my money is on the Koenigsegg because Christian is basically the Einstein of the automotive industry and on top of that they always seem to exceed their theoretical numbers that they announce the car can achieve
Of all of them the Tuatara has the best aerodynamic drag numbers and is available with more than 2000HP. My money is on it to take back from anyone who goes faster than 295 and ultimately hold the record from anyone who's currently trying.

so some of these are record holders, but some will be, so point being some havent had the runs yet or arent even being produced yet such as the Gemera I also think you should make the destinction between eletric and combustion as 2 sperate catagories also you to define track cars from straight line speed which are 2 totally different animals , track cars are actually de-tuned for cornering which makes the slower, for example the Bugatti Chiron is the fasest in a straight line speed , but take the Chiron Pur sport and it has been de-tuned and is 100 less miles per hour than the standerd chiron or chiron super sport as the Pur sport is ment for track speed as it wnet for records on the nurmbergh as apposed to straight line 2 runn wrold record

10:50 This is my problem w/ EV's; the weight & none show this better then the Rimac Nevera. At 5,100lbs(2,313kg) that's the weight of an SUV. The acceleration will be intoxicating but the tire wear & the shock replacement won't. It'll be just like a hyper-motorcycle, wear the back tire down inside of a season of riding & probably a lot sooner. Yet the tires & shock replacement will have an incredible cost. The brakes will be big time stressed too.
Koeniggsegg have the Dark Matter motor producing 800bhp but only 39kg in weight , imagine a car with 4 of those , I've no doubt that the V8 is reasonably light but the weight of it plus the weight of 115L of fuel plus the weight of the tank itself is more than 156kg , yes you'd need more batteries but it would be interesting

What I find interesting is that all these Mfr's. use o-60 times & top speed to sell their cars. Do you know how smooth a road has to be for a car to reach 180mph. On a motorcycle it's no big deal. Even the Ilse of Mann TT race has the bike is flight mode. A car is a different story especially the Rimac. On a public road at very illegal speeds those shocks would cook. Oh well, money...can't take it w/ you.
