Thank you for the extreme zoomed in images! This is what I really want to see because this is what it looks like when we are looking at our faces in a mirror. And, that's really the true demonstration of what products look like in real life!
@@rhondabausch-ux1ee Do you mean advantages? Not sure what advances you mean. The WTF foundation is very moisturizing and has decent, although not full, coverage. I still need concealer in some areas. I use the Miracle Balm over the foundation. It doesn't have a lot of pigment; it just gives a glow. My face is a bit shiny after application so I use the tiniest bit of powder to tone down the shine. For me, this lasts all day and doesn't oxidize on my skin. I also use Miracle Balm on my perpetually dry lips. Also, the pencils are way too drying for me so I can't use those, sadly.
Everyone is different. I admit I use WTF & the Miracle balms. I totally love both! My skin is dry so maybe that's way but I have no complaints at all. I prefer a less make up look. I also have the mascara & it is excellent. Just my 55yr old personal review. Thanks!
Same. My skin is super dry. Any foundation I’ve tried based on recommendations on this and other channels has dried out my skin more or just didn’t agree with it. Regular foundations seem to draw attention to any problems that I have. The Miracle Balms have been a godsend. I’m nearing 50 and I don’t want pounds of makeup on my face, especially when it accentuates the problem.
@@asimplegarden7503I don't like them, either. I bought them ALL. The pencils are subpar, it's oily, greasy... I think they are terrible products and I would never purchase them again.
@@asimplegarden7503 Bobbi Brown is making a return and that's great, but personally I would expect better from her for mature gals (like herself). I think Angie did a fair review hope Bobbi sees it and addresses the issues!
As someone with dark circles I love the concealer pencils. They provide dense pigmentation that actually covers as opposed to standard creamy type concealers that don’t do much for me. The trick is not to draw them on your face. Instead, I draw a line or two on my index finger then press it into the area I want to cover. The warmth from your finger with make the product easier to use and blend.
@@brennanleyen No, it’s not dry. Just a dense formula as it’s in pencil form. As I use it around my eyes and the skin is fragile, it’s gentler to pat in from my finger.
When I first bought JR I was not thrilled but tried products again and now wear them daily. Love the miracle balm in more pigmented shades, even wear on lips.
I absolutely LOVE Jones Road. I have been using WTF, Face Pencil and Miracle Balm for about 3 months now. I am 59 years old, Mexican with normal skin. I do really love how it doesn't heavily cover my skin, but kind of evens it out, WITHOUT looking heavy or leaving lines in my face. I use the pencil in only certain areas of my face. The Balm is gorgeous.. my face looks and feels healthy. I have had so many compliments on my skin lately.. from people I don't even know! 2 weeks ago, I met up with a friend of mine that I hadn't seen for about a year, we started talking and she said "I'm sorry.. but please tell me what you have been doing for your skin, because you look amazing!" I am a big fan of Hot & Flashy... but this also teaches me, that sometimes, you just have to try a product for yourself.
I’ve been wondering about these products so thank you! In my feed every other ad is Bobbi Brown talking about Jones Road makeup - so much so that the ads have totally turned me OFF to even wanting to try them. If I have to hear how the Miracle Balm is a freakin’ miracle one more time, I want to scream. I won’t be purchasing these products. Appreciate your complete honesty, always!
That and the stupid natural dog food commercial for me. 😂 I refuse to buy downy fabric softener because of their commercial from about twenty five years ago. 😂 So annoying!!! The Jones Road is getting close to being banned by me and that damn dog food one for sure is banned! 😂
The monotone opening makes me insane. Awful ad & I see it everytime I turn anything on online. Saturation IS NOT A GOOD THING! How about reducing the ad budget & lowering the product prices? I felt the same way about GEICO commercials. Thank goodness they're few& far between these days!
Totally agree! I hate those repetitive ads… especially since I tried the miracle balm and know the truth… awful. Zero color payout, tacky sticky feeling that never dries down and ends up a glittery shiny slick petroleum on your face. Nope. This 58 yr old will take my regular makeup all day every day.
I recently bought the miracle balm in Au Naturel, the colorless one. I use it after my sunscreen and before applying makeup, including foundation. I tap a small amount on my cheeks where I tend to look dry during the day. It keeps my face looking fresh and smooth and hydrated, where without it my skin gets dry looking. I don’t have problems with stickiness, I don’t use a lot of it. I have found I can also lightly tap a little on over my makeup during the day if I feel my face looking dry. Hope this helps someone! 😊
Ditto! My face can get so dry, I feel itchy! And yes, I do moisturize. MB helps me keep in that moisture. On the days I use it, no itching. I got the minis at Christmas because I wanted to try different colors. I got Dusty Rose, Flushed, Happy Hour and Au Naturel. Love them all!
❤ I have 4 of the miracle balms. I got them at Christmas when they had a special deal. I love it! I don't think greasy at all! I also would not have gotten shade you did. The magic hour or bronzed so pretty & glowy! You may not like how it feels, but I think you look natural & pretty, so very subjective
thank you for falling on this hand grenade of coloured vaseline makeup line! VERY surprised you found a few winners. your HONESTY/ INTEGRITY are beyond reproach.
My skin is on the only side, and I loved this product. You really have to try it to know if it’s right for you. I decided not to due to all the bad reviews. I’m glad I finally bought and tried it because it is wonderful.
I don’t agree with it being a learning curve. Angie has been doing makeup and thorough reviews for years. I think it is if you have dry skin these products work fine for you but if you have combination or oily skin they absolutely will not work!
@@beweber6182 Since Angie has always said she has oily skin, then she should never have done a review of this line of products as it would never turn out to be fair!
@@anner4598 I just meant that Angie, as the "demonstrator" should have known just by looking at the ads and realizing that the products would not be for her skin type, but maybe not....
Their is a learning curve with Jones Road. I hated it the first time but now I love it. The face powder is good. It is more for people that want to look natural. I don't use it everyday but I do like it.
In the video, the JR products looked beautiful on your skin. It seems to me that the SPF you applied first impacted how the JR products wore on your skin, causing the product to crease in lines. I love all things Jones Road so it’s hard for me to pick a favorite. The face pencils cover my dark under eye circles all day and do not sink into fine lines. I do use a little eye cream before applying. They definitely give me a well rested look. I combine a little beige WTF with bronze miracle balm and get compliments routinely on my glowing complexion. I also love how soft and moisturized my skin feels when I wash the products off at the end of the day. As advertised, JRB is a combination of makeup and skincare. I’m 60 years old and Jones Road has given me back that pre-menopausal glow I was missing. Im a JR lifer!
@@jenw5854the spf that is not from minerals works great. She is full of user error here. It's not for the kind of strong heavy coverage she prefers. She used a months worth of face pencil on her nose alone.
Thank you, Angie, for another great video! You remain my #1 influencer! 🥰. Will you please do a powder foundation makeup review for us over 50-60 ladies? I love the light, natural feel of powder over liquid foundation!! Keep up the great work girlfriend!!
Laura Geller seems to be beautiful for us !!! It’s powdered foundation I would never dare try. But this is amazing . I also use the Dior foundation, Nats light reflecting w primer , Chanel crème …
I love the Laura Gellar Balance n Brighten Foundation!!!! I have used it for years. Summer and winter over BB cream in summer and Estee Lauder foundation in winter. It is so natural looking, soft and melts right into your skin!!!!@@maryamalfitano1402
I appreciate the review, and your dedication to zoomed in images so we can really see the product on your skin. It’s fascinating to me how differently products perform on different skin. I just went through a long process of identifying that I had developed an allergy to a commonly used fragrance. I had to get red of a lot of my favorite cosmetics. My skin is always dry, and was so sore that I only wanted soothing, moisture rich products. I got the WTF, face pencils, and miracle balm. They are working great for me. I will note that the face pencils are great over the very emollient Miracle Balm, but without it they perform exactly as you experienced. So - if you have very dry skin and want a minimal, “my skin but better” look Jones Road may work for you. If not, take advantage of their great return policy.
I have been using Jones Road Beauty for a couple of years. I haven’t tried the What the Foundation yet nor have I tried the Lippy. I have figured out the face pencil is best used under a good quality eye cream and softened and warmed up by rolling it on the top of the hand. I am really happy with the JRB eye shadow, eye pencils, brow pencil, mascara and miracle balm. There is a learning curve in using JRB makeup and The JRB website has tutorials in how to use a lot of their makeup. It is best for mature dry skin. Maybe that’s why I like it so much!
I bought the Miracle Balm in Miami Beach about a month ago. I have extremely dry, mature skin. I’m very pleased with it. It almost feels like what chapstick feels like, but for dry skin, it’s nice.
I actually think the finished look is beautiful! So natural. I have a couple of the miracle balms and I love them, so easy. Minus the concealer, you should enjoy wearing this look, looks great💖
I use the miracle balm, and concealer sticks and they are perfect for me. The mascara is outstanding. The concealer principal blend in beautifully with my moisturizer.
West coast too and never been this early. Definitely inundated by JR ads. Love Bobbi Brown but haven’t been tempted because it looks greasy and I have rosacea
The timeliness of this video is astounding for me. My neighbor, who never wears makeup, decided that she wants to wear makeup for her son's wedding and just purchased about $700 worth of this product. Then she called me over and asked me to teach her how to wear it. I'm headed over there in about an hour to try out the products on her dry skin, and I'm so grateful to know in advance what challeneges I may be facing. (Also, I bought her a bunch of non-Jones Road products to try out if these products fall short of what she's looking for.) Thank you so much for this review, and your previous one! It's incredibly helpful.
Hi Angie! I love the pencil! You got the face pencil, I use the neutralizer pencil, they are different. The neutralizer brightens and color corrects around the eye, its a creamy concealer has a clear base, no chalky undertones. However, if you put on too much it will settle in fine lines. Used lightly and over moisturizer and then set with a little powder it is beautiful! I have extremely dry, fair, and freckle skin, I am 54 and I love the fair pink color. Thanks for the review on Jones Road today!
I’ve been using the face pencils, miracle balm, blush sticks, eyeshadow and just a sec for years and love them. There is definitely a learning curve (moisturizing the eye area before the pencils, how and when to use the miracle balm.. hated them at first and now I couldn’t live without them). I have very dry skin so the miracle balm (I have dusty rose, flushed, Miami Beach and bronze) is truly a miracle for me! ❤
I was interested in MB in those colors but I read people complaints that it's so sticky when wind blows your hair it gets stuck in the balm. I think if they offered a palette price to get the balm I would consider it because I cannot afford to get 3 or 4 colors only to have to limit its use rather than have my hair get stuck onto my face. I use castor oil on face at night and I have to clip back my hair which gets glued to it, very tacky. Too much hype advertising promises from this company, when you put yourself out there so strong, you should have product tested first because a lot of complaints coming in. At these prices I cannot afford to try it and then send it back and pay for the shipping back.
@@ooohlaa13they have MB minis certain times of the year. I think I saw them around Christmas. I’m waiting for the minis again as I didn’t buy them in December.
thanx on their mailing list so hope they bring it back ... in the meantime I am using my cosmetics in a way that copies the natural look whereas before I didnt make much of an effort.@@PeriWinkle33957
OMG! Thanks so much for keeping it real! I'm 54 and keep getting a LOT of instagram ads for Joans Road and wanted to see OBJECTIVELY what all the hype is about. Thanks so much for your honest review and education. Love your channel, you look amazing!
@@PinkShips-h9r I use DRMTLGY sunscreen. WTF can be sheer or built up. I generally do not use WTF with Miracle Balm. I use Miracle Balm mostly on no-makeup days over tinted DRMTLGY SPF.
I love the products. After using the pencils, I go back in with a brush and tap/blend the product. I have used many under eye concealers, and these are by far the best for my wrinkles. I have never had issues with the eye shadows creasing. I love the miracle balms. They look great on my lips too. I agree that they can be a bit sticky, but I have grown to really love the hydration. Overall, the JRB products work extremely well for my mature skin (I'm 57).
I absolutely love the Miracle Balm! ❤ That bit of color and glow it gives makes me look 10 years younger. I use it sparingly and under my foundation and I never have any sticky feeling. For me it’s a 10/10
Hi Angie, I have been using the miracle balms since they came out. I absolutely love them. They brighten up my face every time. I have two shades. Flushed which is a beautiful pink and Miami Beach, a peachy coral. Both of them have a much better color payoff then the one you used.
Happy Hour is way too glittery imho. The shades you have are gorgeous. I think my fav is still Dusty Rose. I have almost all the shades. Sunkissed and Bronze were meh ok but I wd not buy them again. Gorgeous on others though; I gave Sunkissed to a friend and it was stunning on her. The brow pencil has fibers in it, I think, which helps to augment brows. I like it. The mascara is amazing. Agree with Angie about the face pencils though. JR customer service is amazing. If you don’t like something, it’s easily returnable/exchanged free of charge. I hated WTF foundation as it had bits of grit in it and I threw it in the trash after a couple replacements - all with the same problem. I don’t know what’s going on with that as otherwise I liked it.
@@lynneanilsonthibodaux9220, I decided to try the minis when they were available at Christmas. I got Dusty Rose, Flushed, Happy Hour and Au Naturel. I like them all, but I’d probably buy a regular size of Dusty Rose and maybe Au Naturel. My face will actually get itchy from being dry in low humidity even though I use moisturizer. The MB helps with that feeling.
@@ItsJustLisa Dusty Rose is still my absolute favorite. It’s so pretty and subtle. Since I gave up on the WTF foundation, I use Au Natural MB with or without moisturizer, Angie’s fav sunscreen Ulta MD 44 (tinted) and then touchup with Lancome foundation stick as it blends so easily (Teint Idole) and a bit of Lancome undereye concealer (also Teint Idole). This is what’s working best for me. I do like Flushed, too, and rarely, Miami. I am truly tempted to try the newest Pinched Cheeks - probably when I reorder the mascara! I think Au Natural will help your dryness.
I love JR products. Every single time I wear Miracle Balm I get so many compliments. I usually layer them. Bronze for slight tan, Miami Beach, Flushed, Dusty Rose and Tawny give subtle glowing color. The trick is to warm up the MB between fingers to soften it. I like the eyeliners. Mascara is great. The eyeshadow in taupe is a nice powder. Takes no time and I always get compliments on my skin. Pencils don’t work so well for me either but better around my nose and to cover spots.
Bronze where the sun would hit eg forehead nose tops of cheeks. Colors on cheeks and foreheads and lips. Magic Hour wherever. I also do bronze at the jawline. It’s pretty versatile so every day is different. But it really makes a difference to warm it up first.
I love miracle balm in Bronze and Miami Beach! I'm 49 and live in a very dry climate, so I like the "greasy" hydrated look. I was torn after seeing all the mixed reviews, but after I played around with a bit, it really grew on me. I also love the Bronze miracle balm on my eyelids and lips - a warm, subtle sunny glow that makes me look alive in the morning with minimal effort! ☺️
Same- I am in Tampa- I like the hydrated look this gives me! My skin is dry even though I live in humidity. Plus, I put the balm in first- that helps the face sticks… they went in my wrinkles too, but the balm helped it. I am terrible with makeup- I bought this and I immediately got compliments! These work for some!
I hate the stickiness of the balm and the smell is terrible to me. I've never had a product that really got to me like this balm. I'm so sorry I wasted my moñey.
I absolutely love the WTF foundation, I get so many compliments when I’m wearing it. What people are doing wrong is treating it as a foundation, instead of using it much more lightly, like a cream. It’s very different to anything else I’ve ever used, so it’s figuring out how to use it, when you’ve mastered that it’s really beautiful.
Thank YOU for actually coming in close on the finishes of the makeup. You’re the one and only who gets that close! That’s what separates you from all others! ❤
I actually LOVE the concealer! I had used the Bobbi Brown concealer for years and then suddenly I couldn’t find it. It was a long time before I realized that Jones Road was Bobbi Brown. I ordered the pencil and it was the closest to her concealer I used. It is not drying at all on me and doesn’t settle in my lines. 🤷♀️ I’m 58
A color correcting concealer will work best. Less is more but look for shades opposite on the color wheel to your dark undertone. Many women have success with a darker peach tone that would look very off at first glance.
@@KM-lu7nh it conceals great for me! They did just come out with the color corrector also. I tried it and like it as well. Now I don’t have to use as much concealer
I owe you an apology: seeing the thumbnail teaser, I was sure you’ll praise the line. I started watching just to confirm my suspicion. I had no experience with this brand, but I’m so tired of some influencers’ unending love (or at best “it’s not you, it’s me”) proclamations for all the major and/or luxury brands’ products. Thank you for the balanced and fair review! A separate “Thank you” and expression of my admiration is for you not “milking” the negative part of the review through a scandalous thumbnail! It is so classy, and it attests to your integrity.
I will say that you seem to really be honest when you are introducing products to review. I have been watching you for years and thoroughly enjoy your channel.
Hi! Love all of your videos! Would love to see a Jane Iredale Angie test. I really want to find a powder foundation that works on mature skin (61) for travel. You have the BEST content! Thank you for all the careful, thoughtful work you put in. 🌷
Laura gellar powder foundations are great, love the baked balance and brighten. I'm just about to order the fuller coverage matte finish one and try it out too.
Thank you for the review video! I love Jones Road Miracle Balm (own 2 of them): I love the smell, how it feels on my skin, how it looks, and how soft my skin is afterwards.
thanks Angie! I actually enjoy the WTF foundation, but don't use very much of it. I was disappointed in the Miracle Balm (shade Magic Hour) precisely because of the tackiness you discuss. But I continue to wear it with my hair up. I feel obliged to mention that, even though I probably won't repurchase it, when I do put on Miracle Balm, people compliment my looks that day.
Thank you for this review, Angie! I have tried some of the products you reviewed and wasn't crazy about them, either. I like the look of the miracle balm but I feel it on my face all day, and yes my hair sticks to it, too!
I’m 73 with extremely dry skin, and now I only wear Jones Road products and spf 50 mineral sunscreen. The products are nourishing and forgiving. I use WTF, the miracle balms that are more pigmented than the one you used, the face pencils, the neutralizer pencil, the eyebrow pencil and eyebrow gel, the eyeshadows, the lip tint, both moisturizers and the oil stick. I don’t use the powder products or the liners. PS. The trick with the eyelids is to prime them first, and then apply shadows. And the moisturizers and oil stick are great to prepare the under eye area for the face pencils.
I get dry flakey skin frequently due to my dry skin, plus I use retina .1% so in the morning after washing my face I’m fine however the “Miracle balm” is my SAVING GRACE!! I have the natural color to use for this. I Apply a very very small amount after warming up in my fingers. The the miracle happens and my flakey skin around my nose and mouth are gone !!! This is a must have for my work bag. I also have the “tawny” color it evens out my skin tone. I warm it up between my fingers and use a small amount. After about 30 minutes this has melted with my skin and i don’t feel the balm anymore. This is absolutely a product you have to learn to use the best way for your skin concerns. If you don’t need or like a very emolument skin product this is definitely not for you. *** Jones Road also recommends applying moisturizer or the balm before you apply the face stick/ concealer . She stated this in the information when you purchased this product. It’s not something you want to apply to dry skin. Hence the peeling and not bendable. Moisturizer is needed before the face sticks
Moisturizer AFTER sunscreen though? Face primer before concealer I get, but not moisturizer when you've already applied sunscreen. Unless this is a purposeful ploy to get ppl to buy her eye base cream... 👀😬
@@jujutrini8412 None of my Korean or Japanese sunscreens have that instruction. Also, that would defeat the purpose of the "screen" part of the sunscreen. The "screen" is the film that blocks and/or absorbs the UV rays. Applying an emollient moisturizer over that film would break up the film. That's why sunscreen is always stated to be the very last step of your skincare routine.
I have used Jones Road products for 3 years. The face pencils are one of my favorite items! You have to have a good eye cream and face moisturizer on first. I am 70 and have dry skin. I do agree that the eye pencil does not deposit much color. My favorite product is the miracle balm. I use it every day. Maybe because my skin is dry, I find it more moist, than sticky or tacky or gluey.
I use the dusty rose balm especially when I go to my exercise classes. It’s all I need for my out the door look. I prefer the Bobbie Brown brand of brow powder and then I give it a once over with a clear brow gel. Thanks for yet another honest and thorough review, Angie!
I love Jones Road! I’m very dry and the JR WTF foundation and Miracle Balms save my skin in the winter. Also I looooove the Mascara. I’ve found you need to use a very light amount of powder to set your makeup after some trial and error. I agree with you about the face pencils under the eyes. They aren’t easy to use under the eye. I’d love to see them reformulate the face pencils so they go on more smoothly without having to moisturize the eye area first. Each product has a learning curve. Interestingly enough, JR has been sending out more emails and making more videos about application tips and techniques.
@@juliecarns I’d say yes. It’s the only one I can use. I am 44. No need to set this concealer with powder! It’s just like skin. You can use all over face too. It’s not like other concealers in my opinion.
Thank you Angie. Bobbi Brown is someone I would tend to trust in the industry and also was so excited that a woman who is experiencing age was addressing our concerns. I’m so disappointed. Thank you so much for your honesty in reviewing this brand.
I am so sick of getting the JR ads, especially when I’ve only seen negative reviews about many of the products. I’m so surprised, because I love so many Bobbi Brown products. I do absolutely LOVE the JR mascara! I’ve been wearing it for about 18 months, and continue to use it. It’s my go-to. Thank you, Angie, for suffering through this for us, so we don’t have to bother trying.
Oh boy, thanks so much for reviewing Jones Road. I have been soooo curious about the line and now I know I can pass on all these. The last thing I need are products that crease or settle into unwanted places. I sure appreciate you! Thanks
I adore the miracle balm-I absolutely do not mind the tackiness of the product. It gives my older, dry skin such a beautiful glow. I have had more than one person comment on how nice my makeup looked.
I was going to say the violet eye pencil looks amazing on your coloring! I also think the brow color is so good on you! I also like the lippy. Definitely going to try that one.
Miracle balm is a love/hate but I surprisingly love it. I think you chose a pale shade as i have a stronger one i use daily as blush and love it. Yes when it goes on it is a bit sticky but that, on me, dissipates after time. I love the glow it gives as natural finish. I am 57, wear minimal make up so i suits my style of make up. Can totally see its not for everyone though but if you’re drier, like a transparency and glow it great
Thanks for doing this review! I was really intrigued by Jones Road and was getting ready to pull the trigger on trying it. You saved me a lot of money!
I think this just shows how different everyone’s skin is and that’s why we all don’t like the same products. This line seems to be liked more by women with extremely dry skin. Thanks for the review ❤
Thanks for your honest feedback, Angie. I love the products (excluding the eye shadow). I have dry skin and these products work well and look good on me. But it’s not for everyone. Glad you at least found a couple items you did like 😊❤
I loved the face pencils, I did not have any issues, its almost self blending under my eyes. Miracle balm also was fine for me, you only need a tiny amnt. Im 57 and all of the JR products work well for me, I had none of the issues mentioned.
So glad you are reviewing Jones Road. I’m also inundated by their ads but their products look sticky, or greasy, to me. I have rosacea and haven’t been tempted to inflame it but also wonder if my 60 year old skin is missing out. You just saved me some money, during a weak, insomniac moment of scrolling and clicking and purchasing. Thank you, Angie!!
I've learned everything about skin care from you Angie. Here to say I do like Jones Road face pencil to cover blemishes. I use it right after my sunscreen (Paula's Choice) when my skin is very hydrated, and the coverage is great for small areas. I'm also a fan of the miracle balm in dusty rose, I get compliments every time I wear it. I'll definitely add a lippie stick in my next order. Thanks for all your advice Angie!
Hi Angie !! I want to thank you for all that you do ! Because of you , I have been applying the excess skin care on my hands . From my face to my hands . Thank you for continuing your channel ! After all these years ! You are so beautiful !
Maybe this isn’t the brand for you, but I really loved seeing you do a no-makeup look. I would love to see you do a similar look with your tried and true products ❤

Thanks Angie🤗I’m so sick of her commercials! Back in the day Bobbi Brown was the first makeup I used & it was so nice, haven’t bought since she would the company.
I do still love the original Bobbi Brown eyeshadows & think they're much better formulated than JR... once you sell your original company that carries your name you're usually bound by contract not to create similar products so she's possibly a little limited in what she can do now...
@@InfinityHealthPilatesI blocked them, but it did not take effect and I actually started seeing many more at that point. I get so angry and feel nauseated when I see those ads! Especially “we were all looking in the mirror, blah blah blah.” 🤮🤮🤮
Angie, Thank you for an honest review!! It's so rare these days. Thanks for the close ups. You did a fair and balanced reveiw. Keep doing what you're doing. I've been watching you since you started your TH-cam. You have aged backwards 🙌🏆👊 much love to you 💜
This is exactly what I needed. I have been so on the fence about these products. I have put them in my cart and just not pulled the trigger. I think you just saved me a bundle of money.
@@rhondabausch-ux1ee Actually, no, it really doesn't "cover" much of anything - I think that's why some people just don't like it. These products are perfect for people (like me) whose skin is fairly even in color, with no blemishes or age spots, but who have wrinkles and dryness that look awful with ordinary foundation. If you need coverage, or prefer a very made-up look, don't even think about it. :)
This is SUCH a valuable review! You are so thorough and descriptive and I so appreciate you! I've been eyeing this line for some time... and I'm glad to not waste my money on any of it. The lip tint is really pretty though :) Thank you Angie!!
I have been looking for a "miracle" like Miracle balm for decades. I Love it!! I am 62, with dry, but pretty good skin. I don't want to hide it, but it has needed something to give it a glow and even it out a little. I just don't want cake-y. All foundations wind up cake-y on my face. Anyway, the secret to Miracle Balm is first: rubbing it in your hands really, really well, and then applying it over lots of moisture, or mixing it with moisture. For me this usually means primer, and then Miracle Balm mixed with lightly tinted sunscreen or a good sunscreen with a little bit of tint. The "mix can be the trick"!
I recently purchased JR Face/Concealer Pencil #4 and the Shimmer Face Oil (Pink Opal). I pat the oil sparingly on my cheek bone area as the final step in my makeup regime, setting it with a fine milled loose powder . Very little of each is needed. The concealer pencil works ok covering under eye shadows. I press/ blend with a sponge which removes any settling in under eye wrinkles. I’m 73. My problem areas are under eye wrinkles and slight mouth/jowl lines beginning. I might purchase the Shimmer Face Oil again but prefer Tarte concealer.
Thank you for your take on this! I tried several of the Miracle Balm shades including Happy Hour, and I found that the shades like Miami Beach, Flushed, and Dusty Rose, were good for blush. You have to really pat it in or else it just sits on the face. I find it doesn't last long though. The Happy Hour, like you said, doesn't have much colour and is more like a highlight with big chunks of glitter but I think it's marketed as a blush which doesn't really make sense to me. I also got two of the concealer pencils and they worked on me like it did on you. Just awful looking and pulls on the under eye when you apply it and sits int he creases of my nose. Oh, and I just bought the HaruHaru Wonder sunscreen you always mention, and I absolutely love it. Thanks for that!
I love Jones Road. It works for me. I have never been a person who would wear typical foundation. I love Angie’s advice on face care‼️❤ I honor others opinions 👍🏻
I like the miracle balm too. I got the dusty rose and use it as a dewy blush. It isn’t a lot of color but it seems to put a little life into my face. Thanks for reviewing the other items. I’ve been curious about them.
Yes, I love it too. My advise is not to use it if you have splotchy skin, it won’t cover that. If your skin is even it will more likely be beautiful on you. If you get it and it doesn’t work as a foundation, you can keep it for a highlight, lip gloss, or blush.
I love the Jones road mascara, and most of the eye products along with the bronzer, the blush and even the cream eyeshadows. however, the miracle balm-I think it’s really for people with dry skin. My skin doesn’t soak it up very well, but my best friend on the other hand she looks absolutely fantastic in it and she has extremely dry skin. on me it feels greasy but not on her ever. Her skin soaks it up and it has this beautiful glow.
Agree to disagree - Jones Road is a game changer for me. In general I think people either love or hate it. It’s very different than ‘regular’ makeup and I think appeals mainly to people who like their makeup pretty natural/minimalist and like the ultra moisturized finish.
Thank you so very much for this. I am placing an order tomorrow and have been putting it off for a year. The ads on You Tube is why I was wanting to try being over 56 yo and she's targeting an older age group in that add. Other gals haven't liked it either, so this helped a lot with the lippe and mascara. I do lover her under eye cream and have used it constantly since it came out. Thanks for taking one for the team, lol.
Thank you for the extreme zoomed in images! This is what I really want to see because this is what it looks like when we are looking at our faces in a mirror. And, that's really the true demonstration of what products look like in real life!
This is exactly what I was going to say! Thank you.
LOVE that you always include the zooms, and they are clear.
My sister gave me some Jones Road she didn't like. I don't like it either.
I like it very much , each to their own though . I do think it’s expensive , mind you , Bobby Brown was too
I am 65 with dry skin. I just started using Jones Road and I love it. I think it works best for dry skin.
Hi I am 62 and very interested can you explain the advances I too have dry skin
I love WTF, face pencils, eyeliner and miracle balm. I have dry skin and am 50.
I’m 72 and looking for some make-up. Everything I’ve ever used has been a stain or very transparent. No foundation, etc. Really need help with this!
SAME HERE!!! I love all Jones Road products.
It feels like there’s some other reason she doesn’t like the products. 🤷🏻♀️ just weird.
@@asimplegarden7503 I think Angie did a very fair review. Don't post without hard evidence to support your comment.
Sounds like they were very dry tho… I have had that problem with some brands myself
@@brennanleyen No, it’s not dry. Just a dense formula as it’s in pencil form. As I use it around my eyes and the skin is fragile, it’s gentler to pat in from my finger.
I hope that Bobbi Brown sees this review☺️ you just saved me a lot of money Angie!! Thank you!
I’ve purchased the products. Angie definitely highlighted what is worth buying.
Me too!!
Ditto! I've been looking at these for a while and very happy to see your review, Angie, THANK YOU!
thank you for trying all these Angie, so i don’t have to and now for sure won’t.
I dislike her ads, I cannot watch them, they are ageist.
When I first bought JR I was not thrilled but tried products again and now wear them daily. Love the miracle balm in more pigmented shades, even wear on lips.
I'm 55 I just started to use Jone Road and I'm so happy with the products everything is very soft and applies smoothly! Just beautiful
2 weeks ago, I met up with a friend of mine that I hadn't seen for about a year, we started talking and she said "I'm sorry.. but please tell me what you have been doing for your skin, because you look amazing!"
I am a big fan of Hot & Flashy... but this also teaches me, that sometimes, you just have to try a product for yourself.
Angie, please review RMS next. I really appreciate these exclusive reviews!
It’s a make up line by a woman named Rose-Marie Swift
I LOVE the RMS brow products!
Yes please. I love RMS.
I was going to search for RMS on her channel.
QVC just showed a presentation of RMS with Rose Marie hosted by Shawn Killinger. I like her products as demonstrated on her own
mature face. Pricey.
I’ve been wondering about these products so thank you! In my feed every other ad is Bobbi Brown talking
about Jones Road makeup - so much so that the ads have totally turned me OFF to even wanting to try them. If I have to hear how the Miracle Balm is a freakin’ miracle one more time, I want to scream. I won’t be purchasing these products. Appreciate your complete honesty, always!
That and the stupid natural dog food commercial for me. 😂
I refuse to buy downy fabric softener because of their commercial from about twenty five years ago. 😂 So annoying!!!
The Jones Road is getting close to being banned by me and that damn dog food one for sure is banned! 😂
That ad drives me crazy. I especially hate that first woman.
Yes I agree that the constant adverts put me off buying anything too
The monotone opening makes me insane.
Same for me! I have extremely dry skin on my cheeks and chin, I use in the same order of application as you and have had success,
I agree. That’s how I know I can really trust her ❤
People who have very dry skin seem to love it.
My skin is on the only side, and I loved this product. You really have to try it to know if it’s right for you. I decided not to due to all the bad reviews. I’m glad I finally bought and tried it because it is wonderful.
I'm not surprised she found a few things she liked, just because a few products don't fit her "likes" doesn't mean the whole brand is crap.
I love JR, and MB in particular. So pretty. I don't know why she didn't like it, she looks great!
Love the miracle balm...definitely is a learning curve. Dusty rose and flushed for winter ...miami beach is beautiful with a tan in summer
@@trisha3338I think it's entirely fair she reviewed these products since JR marketing doesn't specify for dry skin only
@@anner4598 I just meant that Angie, as the "demonstrator" should have known just by looking at the ads and realizing that the products would not be for her skin type, but maybe not....
You might have a point about the sunscreen.
I concur
All I had to do was read comments. Don’t need to watch the video.
Agreed, but none of the JR products have spf, right? I’m not going without sunscreen so they had better be great at layering over SPF.
Thank you! & will do!!
Another great video, thanks Angie! I only use cruelty free products. Would you please do a video on those products that work on mature skin?
Your videos are so comforting, it's like talking to a friend . Thanks for your reviews !

Exactly. 100% agreed.
Minus the concealer, you should enjoy wearing this look, looks great💖
same😂 I think it looks way natural
I love MB! It gives my dry skin a nice dewy glow!
I use the miracle balm, and concealer sticks and they are perfect for me. The mascara is outstanding. The concealer principal blend in beautifully with my moisturizer.
It's so funny! You say over and over how much you dislike this stuff, while you put it on and look better and better!

Oh gosh, I would not recommend these for a special occasion. Happy to hear you're bringing some other makeup to try on her as well!
I was actually watching some Jones Rode videos today to watch how to apply. It's helpful. I'm going to try out the 101 Kit. Hope it works out!
The lip tint color is beautiful on you!

I have Miami Beach. I agree. My face is happy when I wear it.

You have the best content of all ( many) influencers I have been watching ! Meticulous and honest!
Do you use the balm all over your face or just as a highlighter/blush/bronzer? Ty
Thanks! Would never have thought of putting the balm on the eyelids! Great tip
Thanks for this. Jones Road is blowing up my TH-cam commercial spots.

I use the same percentage of Retin A and I totally agree with you. Miracle Balm makes me glow while keeping my face moisturized . Love it!!
I use .1 tretinoin, too and love MB. Not every product is for everybody.
Same. I’m about to turn 61 and MB definitely helps with keeping moisture in my skin.
I think she went a bit over board
I'm 66 and I love all this stuff
Jones Road is a great brand
LOVE the Lancome concealer too!
Me too!
Me three!!! ❤️
I’ve given up on concealer because it just accentuates lines and wrinkles; is this worth trying? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks
I love the miracle balm and the lip products.
I can always count on you for informative, objective, honest reviews. Thank you, Angie!!!
I adore the miracle balm-I absolutely do not mind the tackiness of the product. It gives my older, dry skin such a beautiful glow. I have had more than one person comment on how nice my makeup looked.
Me too ! I have 3 of them plus the mascara. Love all of them. I do not find them tacky when applied according to directions.
I was going to say the violet eye pencil looks amazing on your coloring! I also think the brow color is so good on you! I also like the lippy. Definitely going to try that one.
Love Jones Road products!!!
Can totally see its not for everyone though but if you’re drier, like a transparency and glow it great
Oh my gosh, you made me laugh when you mentioned hair stuck to your face when taking your Pups for a walk. Very relatable!
In your close-up shots, i was just blown away by your skin. Not a wrinkle to be found! Lovely!
Thanks for doing this review! I was really intrigued by Jones Road and was getting ready to pull the trigger on trying it. You saved me a lot of money!
I love all the products! When you dont want to have a face full of cake paste Jones Road is perfect!
Consider ordering some for yourself because their customer service is amazing !
Thank you Angie for your honest reviews. I think they are hard to find on social media and I SO appreciate them!!
I’m 60. The balm is so sticky greasy I can’t handle it. Plus it smells rancid
I have their concealer sticks. I love them. I have very dry skin. I haven’t tried the miracle balms yet
I would love to see you do a similar look with your tried and true products ❤
btw, i admire the heck out of you. you have re-invented yourself and i am just so impressed by your skills with the camera, editing, presentation...the whole thing. i know how hard and how much time it takes to make one video and you do it with such ease and polish! thank you for your dedication to give us excellent evaluations of products which saves us a bundle !
I blocked her ads finally. Couldn’t take them anymore
@@InfinityHealthPilates I see them on YT how do u block?
@@InfinityHealthPilatesI blocked them, but it did not take effect and I actually started seeing many more at that point. I get so angry and feel nauseated when I see those ads! Especially “we were all looking in the mirror, blah blah blah.” 🤮🤮🤮
@@AngieHotandFlashy that makes sense 👍🏼
Angie, Thank you for an honest review!! It's so rare these days. Thanks for the close ups. You did a fair and balanced reveiw. Keep doing what you're doing. I've been watching you since you started your TH-cam. You have aged backwards 🙌🏆👊 much love to you 💜
I have several shades of the miracle balm. I love it.
This is exactly what I needed. I have been so on the fence about these products. I have put them in my cart and just not pulled the trigger. I think you just saved me a bundle of money.
I keep going back to WTF foundation because it looks SO good on my dry skin. I don’t know why it’s so good, but it just is.
Can you explain I have really dry skin and want to try the Wtf and the miracle balm because I am so dry does it work good and coverage ?
Hi there!🙋🏼♀️
How is the coverage and finish with the WTF foundation?
Thank you in advance if you see this.🙏
@@andrea439 yes
The coverage is VERY sheer and finish is dewy
I happen to love it
@@rhondabausch-ux1ee Actually, no, it really doesn't "cover" much of anything - I think that's why some people just don't like it.
I love the foundation. Every time I try it on I am
Shocked how well it looks on mature skin.
I love the the miracle balm. If you have mature skin and dryness, you should try it yourself.
I love it!! And agree with everything you mentioned!!
I would love to see an RMS foundation review! Thx
