One trick I do when using loose powder is to turn my container upside down with the lid on (shake container if necessary). With the container right side up again, I open the powder and use the powder that collects in the lid or top. No counter mess 😊
I like to poke a couple of holes in the sticky film with a pin or cover the holes with scotch tape and again make a few holes with a pin. Very much reduces the mess.

If your outfit is really colorful it might compete too much with the lip. Think of a red lip as the "star" of the show and have your other makeup/outfit take the backseat! I don't do a great job with colored lip liners, so I dug out my clear one, too. I still have all your brushes on my vanity (along with the travel case). I was intrigued by a lipstick trend I saw a few months ago, referred to as "Cherry Coke." The idea is to wear a red lip, but outline the lips in a reddish brown tone, going the slightest bit heavy on the corners with the liner, which is then subtly blended into the lipstick. I watched a few tutorials on this look, and done right, I thought it was gorgeous. I ran out to Sephora to pick up my supplies, and I really like it.
I also recently discovered that the vinyl inks are great for a red, because I can only wear red in long wearing lipsticks, and long wearing lipsticks always show lip lines! I like the shade Extra, it is more of a brownish red.

He is great at gifts 🎁 I carry a Jones Road Face Stick in my purse…and when income restroom, I hardly ever add more lipstick but I do use the face stick to cover any leakage into my lip lines! 🎉

I finally managed to find Bobbi Brown, both lipstick and gloss are perfect. The gloss does not settle at the edges of my wrinkled lips. And remember to scrub first. Fabulous! I’m going to follow this tutorial for Christmas Eve; we dress to the ‘nines,’ & now more mature, wearing red lippies has become challenging. It WAS my lip color, for decades. And though I’m genetically blessed w/ pretty great skin/little sagging/wrinkling, lips do in fact lessen in volume, & no matter the person, some lines develop, esp above the lip line. (? Only injections or surgery will truly change this fact of aging; I’m just not that into either choice 😉). Also, though I’ve been a regular practitioner of the “tissue trick,” my lips DO still hv some natural volume, & all of my life, physiologically, my front teeth are prone to rubbing-off of color; any color. Once, I owned a clear lip liner (brand?), & found it too emollient-still feathered. I’m excited to try your recommendation! I’ve stayed away from your suggested lip product-the “vinyl,” thinking it might be more like a ‘nearly’ liquid lippie, for blotted lip looks, which definitely feathers on me/transfer to front teeth. Today, between 100 required errands (😉🎁🎄), I’m purchasing both of your lip items, & another eyeliner! They look so fabulous on you! A matte lippie I’m loving, find has fantastic longevity, & is affordable to boot; is the L’Oréal “Colour Riche Intense, Volume Matte Lipstick” in a nice thin/easy to apply, component. Trust me fully; I’m constantly trying very pricey + drugstore lippies, in hopes of longevity/non-feathering! The L’Oréal neutrals are A+, but I in fact, purchased a blue-toned red one, tried it one night, w/ 👌🏽 results. Possibly another useful product- I’ve not pulled off a successful red lip “out” for about 5 years (we’re similarly aged), but you’re much more mindful of skincare, + device use than I; making me wish I had the required daily discipline you do, esp w/ devices! I’ve always done my very best w/ sunscreen & skincare; prob since age 15, w/ many products you’ve recommended. 🫶🏽 I’m EXCITED to test out this tutorial later tonight (❤ my private, late- hours, tests of tutorials, as sooo relaxing for me), to see how the look turns out on me! Beautiful! I learned some helpful tips. Thank you! Angie I finally splurged and got your brush set and it’s so incredible. I’m so happy I bought it! I went and got my lips tattooed and now I just have to wear a balm or gloss and I’m good to go, and when it wears off I still have some color! I really love the results so much I’ve had them touched up twice!

Hi Angie, nice video with a lot of good and new tips and tricks 👏 And yes, red lips are a must at Christmas 💄 but the color can be hard to find. I finally managed to find Bobbi Brown, both lipstick and gloss are perfect. The gloss does not settle at the edges of my wrinkled lips. And remember to scrub first. For Christmas and other festive occasions, I use BB Crushed Oil Infused Gloss in the color Rock'n Roll. It is the perfect red without being overdone. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ❤️🎄🎁🥳🥂

Fabulous! I’m going to follow this tutorial for Christmas Eve; we dress to the ‘nines,’ & now more mature, wearing red lippies has become challenging. It WAS my lip color, for decades. And though I’m genetically blessed w/ pretty great skin/little sagging/wrinkling, lips do in fact lessen in volume, & no matter the person, some lines develop, esp above the lip line. (? Only injections or surgery will truly change this fact of aging; I’m just not that into either choice 😉).
Also, though I’ve been a regular practitioner of the “tissue trick,” my lips DO still hv some natural volume, & all of my life, physiologically, my front teeth are prone to rubbing-off of color; any color. Once, I owned a clear lip liner (brand?), & found it too emollient-still feathered. I’m excited to try your recommendation!
I’ve stayed away from your suggested lip product-the “vinyl,” thinking it might be more like a ‘nearly’ liquid lippie, for blotted lip looks, which definitely feathers on me/transfer to front teeth. Today, between 100 required errands (😉🎁🎄), I’m purchasing both of your lip items, & another eyeliner! They look so fabulous on you!
A matte lippie I’m loving, find has fantastic longevity, & is affordable to boot; is the L’Oréal “Colour Riche Intense, Volume Matte Lipstick” in a nice thin/easy to apply, component. Trust me fully; I’m constantly trying very pricey + drugstore lippies, in hopes of longevity/non-feathering! The L’Oréal neutrals are A+, but I in fact, purchased a blue-toned red one, tried it one night, w/ 👌🏽 results. Possibly another useful product-
I’ve not pulled off a successful red lip “out” for about 5 years (we’re similarly aged), but you’re much more mindful of skincare, + device use than I; making me wish I had the required daily discipline you do, esp w/ devices! I’ve always done my very best w/ sunscreen & skincare; prob since age 15, w/ many products you’ve recommended. 🫶🏽
I’m EXCITED to test out this tutorial later tonight (❤ my private, late- hours, tests of tutorials, as sooo relaxing for me), to see how the look turns out on me!

I don't know if I'll ever find a palette I'll like more than Stone Cold Fox but yesterday I bought Colour Pop Of Quartz and it's really beautiful as well and smaller so great for travel. I know I'll get tons of use out of it too.

Angie which of your brushes is the same as the BK 106 brush? Great video, love the red lipstick!
I don't have a brush that's similar to the BK 106 but you an use my A507 blush brush or my A 506 Concealer brush to blend out contour!
