    In this video you will learn how to successfully Float Fish for rivers for Mullet.
    Mullet fishing can be very exciting as they are particularly hard fighting fish. In this video i will share with you those little tips that will help you consistently catch Mullet on Tidal Rivers whilst Float Fishing. You will see how i constantly adjust my depth to get bites, add oil to my groundbait to get the fish feeding, select floats to suit the conditions on the day and swim that i am fishing and trot my float through the swim. I also review some of the equipment i use. Give it a go you will not be disappointed, some days mullet are easy to catch on others they can be very frustrating but one things for sure once you’ve caught one you will be addicted.
    Cheers

    Lovely stuff Adrian, I must venture up for a session at some point. And for what it's worth, I've using 981s for years - great hooks in my opinion.

    Very useful information. Many thanks. How do you find the seals are affecting the fishing on that stretch of the river by the road bridge.. I've ledgered there recently and not a sniff. Then 4 seals appeared

      I have been lucky they have just passed me by on the way up to the weir but I was speaking to a chap yesterday who said they were trying to take the fish off his line up at the weir.

    What a awesome video mate 👌 I need to try again to catch a mullet, once I caught a that fish in one of London canals wich is conects with river tames and that fish was unormous size it was around 12lb and for the first time for me it looked huge, but after 5mins fight the fish win that fight and sadly I didn't have a chance to have a picture 😔 but they are great fighting fish 💪🎣

      They are amazing creatures. Occasionally you find a huge fish around in places like you describe. I once hooked one that big, only for a friend to bump it off at the net.

      Know what your saying. When I was a kid we used to fish right up to the weir. Huge fish up there. Lost some big fish behind the industrial estate last year.

      @@ambientshane saw a few but the seals were after them. Shame. Seems pointless to stop Salmon netting if your going to allow at least 4 Seals to maraud around. I’m not advocating shooting them but moving the buggars might help. I know they used to get shot years back

      @@TheConstantAngler when I left Devon I moved to West Wales. They had a seal problem up stream, the seal was moved to a new location 30 miles towards Newhaven. 5 Days Later this seal reappeared. Can't blame really. I just target bass now on lures in N Cornwall. It's been slow.

      @thehorizontalcoalition forgot the sods were mobile. Get rid of one and another will replace it. Must be plenty of fish in the river for them to bother. That’s until they eat too many then they will go back to the sea. Bass fishing in Cornwall sounds good

    Adrian great video thanks. I've caught golden mullet on the fly but have always days bread mash/liquidised bread is the way ahead with a few things added. Anyway my question is are these thin or thick lip mullet? Or even grey? Inspired me to have a crack in North Devon. Having fly fished for them for months strategically a few years ago I know where they frequent but aren't always predictable like some rivers and estuaries plus not the same numbers. I remember being down in Constantine and seeing them in their thousands in the camel estuary unbelievable to see. Some submarines to!! Cheers Jon

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are Thick Lips Jon. Thins generally don’t take bread but will take ragworm trsiled behind a spinner. Christchurch angling does a great TH-cam video on it. Goldens I’m not so sure of but they can be caught off sandy beaches amongst other places.

    Hi Ad, how have you been finding it overall, using a 15ft for float work? until late ive stuck with a 12ft,,, But since being more active again, ive noticed more swims where i could benefit with the extra

    • @TheConstantAngler

      Hi mate. It definitely helps having a longer rod but as I have discovered if you have dodgy elbows it can annoy them. Great if you’re fine though. I am concentrating more on ledgering at the moment. Lost a good fish today to tackle failure. 8lb mono breaking. 🤣

    Is it brackish water or estuaries or river

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s all the way up to the freshwater weir but brackish as the tide floods up the river to there. They travel miles.
