    Great fishing! Thanks for the video. Mullet is certainly one of the species still missing from my list!

      The main thing is to get them feeding on the bread first. Then The fun will begin

    I use a John Wilson Quiver and a really small Shimano reel, 8lbs braid, bubble float, size 14 hook and fleuro carbon and that mackerel that's been frozen for a few years and forgotten about in the back of the freezer. Scraggly mackerel strips 👍

    Another cracking video. You may get a few comments from me over the isolation period lol. I'm not afraid to admit that I have been out done by mullet too many times to mention. We were due to go on holiday to west wales where I target mullet in June but that looks like it probably wont happen now :( thanks lads

      Ah that's no problem at all 🤣. Everyone is cracking up with this Corona. They are an amazing fish to catch but yes they can make it frustrating some days. Ah theres still hope it might happen

    Quite strong fish. I did catch one in Uruguay from aboard a ship. I saw it take the bread 20 cm deep. I lost a big one in the port of Rio, on a piece of macaroni, half metre deep. I would like to try here in co. Sligo or co Mayo.

    Iv only ever caught one mullet in my life, we were fishing for mackerel on a pier, and I noticed some big mullet swimming around the bottom of the pier. I caught it with a tiny piece of mackerel on a tiny treble hook, would love to try for them again.

      Mullet in areas where you have fishing boats can tend to take bits of fish flesh so it's always worth giving it a go. Bread is always a go to for mullet as long as you can get them feeding on it and my favourite is just spinning some maddies behind a float. Always works great. They are such a nice fish to catch. Really hard fighting

      @IrishAnglingAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it's not. Just depends really. If you just take a look at the area your looking at fishing you will usually see them

    What lure works best for Castle Gregory wrasse and polleck

      @IrishAnglingAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soft plastics generally are best , a variety of sizes are good too. If you check out the latest video you'll see some of the ones I used plus they are in the description

    What is the best tide for a marina for mullet

    • @IrishAnglingAdventures
      @IrishAnglingAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just depends on the area. Some places fish better over high as fish move in to feed , some fish better at low as they are congregated in a smaller area. Just go a different tides and see how the fish are acting.

    What rod and reel are you using? Your video audio is inaudible. Thanks

    • @IrishAnglingAdventures
      @IrishAnglingAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Kenny, the rod is a Savage gear Mpp2 10-32g , reel is Penn spinfisher 3500. We are currently working on on the audio. Ian is recording on a GoPro so we are looking at microphones to suit it at the moment

    What awful sound levels. Spoil a nice channel. Please use a clip on Mike and speak into it.

      Hi Robbie, yes we are aware of the microphone issue in this video. Unfortunately at the time we were still starting out the channel and were learning as we did. Thanks very much for watching and hope you continue to engage with our videos

      You can also double up on the sound tracks (copy/paste) in the edit to bring the sound up. Just have a quick look on the timeline to make sure you drop the level of any bumps or knocks when you touch the camera/mic. Great video!

      Thanks for the tip. Hopefully I won't need to use it again though.
