Such a great sporting fish that can drive one to drink at times. As a kid I would fish for them in Majorca on very fine tackle to get a bite. The locals considered them uncatchable and went nuts at me for putting em back lol. The only times I could get a bite is when the sun was obscured by clouds.

The method didn't originate there I was catching up to 30 good fish a session 40 years ago spinning with harbour rag!
I’ve been told they will bite small bread balls. I’ve never tried though. I just use a cast net. Is this one of the places throw nets aren’t allowed?
