I really liked this short film. I think this is what a short should be. I don't feel like I just got a snippet of a story. I feel like I got the most important part. Also, it made me think. I could be wrong, but I believe this story is about the lengths a person will go to lie to himself. It's much easier to believe that aliens put a tracker in your arm and abducted your Dad, than he actually killed himself. The shooting star was just a coincidence that played into this narrative. Once he accepts the truth he can recover in essence. My interpretation could be wrong I suppose. The best films can have multiple interpretations imo. Thanks for posting I highly enjoyed this.
From 7:25, I found it strange that he bothered to sterilize the box cutter blade, but not the long nose pliers he used to extract the implant? After that he should've gone to see his Doctor for a Tetanus injection! Very well made short film.
I found it intriguing enough to watch it twice. I believe I understood the story the first time through, but I wanted to see if I had missed any clues. I liked the film, the actors and the way it was shot.
Very intriguing, although I must admit, I don’t think I clearly understood it. It kept me focused, nonetheless. Here’s hoping repeat viewing(s) will give me deeper insight.
Okay I'm sure they all the information is there and I should be able to understand what's going on but I totally don't understand the ending. Is this one of those ones where we're not supposed to know what happened? Or did I just miss it?
What the.... This made no sense at all. I mean, I get that it's supposed to be some alien abduction story, but other than that, it doesn't make any sense. For example why would his...girlfriend?...just be walking into the desert for no apparent reason. And how TF did he know she would be there?!? And that's just one of the least confusing scenes in this video!! It's like asking someone what the difference between a canary is. There is just such a lack of info, that making sense of it is basically impossible. The prosthetic on his arm was nicely done though.

That's what I got on my second watch as well. The mom wouldn't have been in so much anguish if the Dad would have just disappeared.
