Hello! Thank you for this video! I've been mapping out a chopper project, and everybody has been telling me to ditch the rigid frame for a softail ... I had thought about an air ride setup & you've sold me on it! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I will be doing a video this week on how to make the pan and put leather on it, just in case you're interested. The airpuck works just as good as a shocks on the bike. I prefer the rigid frame because it handles so well through the twisties, I think you'll enjoy it. Just remember it does take a bit to get comfortable with it. Thanks for watching
I'm trying to figure out how to set up a solo saddle on my Sportster without sacrificing comfort. That said, I also have a problem with short legs. I love the style but want to make sure to keep a low seat height. I cannot add even an inch of extra height. Are these usually lower or higher than stock seats?
( www.stengelbros.net/1S3-013-Goodyear-Sleeve-Air-Spring_p_2541.html ) so this is the air lube that I use. Now is your Sportster a rigid or is it still running the outer shocks, if it's out of shocks you could always get some shorter ones. Now depending on how you set the seat up will determine your height. You can buy a kit one from lowbrow choppers but they're kind of expensive. Most of the seat setups with the air lube or on rigid frames that I do in a lot lower than a stock seat height. I don't know if this has helped but thanks for watching.
Great info. Question on the shock springs you removed. Obviously the air bag ride is better but was curious if the shock springs were better than the standard springs and if so approximately how much more in your expert opinion?
Yeah the shock springs were a little better than the old seat springs but here again that's why I went to the air ride we tried so much better. Thanks for watching
You are awesome i was looking for a solution to replace the springs on my xvs650 seat being a bigger guy those 3 inch springs are worthless thank you !!!
This is the first honest review of air ride seats. Thank you sir
Thanks And thanks for watching

I use Paul Cox's Rigidare seat suspension.
Big expense for something you could do yourself and buy the parts for hell of a lot cheaper. But thanks for watching.
