If you end up looking into them let me know. Bigger tractor needs a bigger model or you will burn out the clutch. Hope all is good and you guys are safe. I saw that you had some challenges getting uploads to Facebook so assume you guys are safe.
Thanks for the comment. I love the winch and will have many more videos to come in the future. Recently tackled an 80 year old red oak and the winch was essential.
I finally figured out how to get my winch to work. I have the 3025e model. While sitting in seat, I put the tractor in neutral, rpms under 1500, pressed and held the PTO switch for 2 to 3 seconds, let go and press it a second time until HOLD appears, followed by “exit the seat now” on the electronic display. My mistake was not pressing a second time which was not stated clearly in the manual! Thanks for your help.
These were originally cut as part of an edge feathering habitat management project probably 8 months earlier. Once the mill these maple were already spalted. Thanks for watching and commenting!

No problems with it at all. Buy some extra choker chains and if I had it to do over I’d have tried to buy the one with the wireless remote. If you are dragging any distance it can be a pain if it hangs up on things. I also purchased a snap lock and a self releasing snap block. Great product though.
I tried putting my tractor, (which does not have mid PTO) in neutral and park and engaged the pto button and nothing happened. The electronic display says, “operator out of the seat”. This tractor has only 5hours on it and this is first time with my 40 year old farmi winch on it. Previous tractor was 950 fwd.
Hmm. What model? There are ways to bypass the seat safety but I’m not a fan of bypassing safety switches. Maybe try seated in neutral and park and engage and stand up. If that doesn’t work. Stand up, then start it and try. All else fails I’d make a post with tractor model and situation on Green Tractor Talk forum. Much more experience out there than I have. It is definitely a tractor issue not the Farmi equipment.
So on my particular model, you have to be in park, Neutral, make sure you PTO is only set to rear and not rear plus mid, stand up out of the seat and then engage the PTO... If you are seated when you engage it, it will shut off when you stand up. You could also be standing beside the tractor when you engage the PTO with tractor already running. Let me know if this works for you. - Josh
Darn nice to finally see somebody using proper PPE when chainsawing!
Thanks! We both make sure to have it on all the time... had a friend’s grandfather nearly lose a leg when we were kids.
haha this is why I try not to saw in summer! too hot
After hurricane Idalia I'm now in the market for one of these 😬

Great Video! Glad the winch is meeting your needs and helping get the jobs done.

Nice! Glad to hear it. That’s definitely different than mine but glad you got it working.
Must have cut them down when the snow was on... another piece of wood on the stump. 👍

I'm considering the same winch. Any problems with it or recommendations since the video?

My John Deere tractor with farmi winch shuts down when engaging pro when I get out of the seat! How does yours not do the same?

Like the video content, but can the music and let us hear the sounds of the woods while logging. Music does nothing for a video.
Appreciate the feedback!
That makes 0 since to me. Why not skid the whole tree?
