I was also wondering how the skidder would work with a lower HP tractor. Looks like it did a good job! After looking, their sold out again. It looks like preordering is the way to go for anyone interested. Thanks Andrew.
They keep selling out I've noticed. When I was dragging around to buy mine they were $2999, then they popped up to $3499. After I bought mine they sold out almost immediately. At that price and it being firewood season I can see why.
I like seeing you do that with the smaller horsepower tractor that’s a more common size tractor for smaller pieces of property so it really shows how versatile they are. Great video Andrew.
I was going to ask if you had ever seen the device that some people make to help move long and heavy trunks, but you got it! Didn’t know they were called a tree arch! I learn so much from watching your videos! Can’t wait to see what you come up with to help get all the downed trees out easier!
That lil tractor is a hossie! For smaller trees that will be a great saver on the Deere and give you so much versatility. I wasn't thinking the problem was gonna be mud by your title LOL.
Hi Andrew good review, thanks. My daughter just arrived at Silver Lake, Florida, just called me here minutes ago. She bought a new trailer and will be going down for the Winter months. She has gone early to get set up and will fly back home for Christmas then back down until April. You and Tiffany take care, 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
I have a 35HP Massey, was wondering as well since it’s on the lower end of the 30-50HP range. Thanks, you answered my questions. Liked and subscribed, Dave.
Great video. Hope you get that log arch that should be a big help. Also, hope you get that saw mill too. Enjoy watching your progress. Keep up the good work!
I used your Amazon affiliate link to buy an EcoFlow foldable solar panel during their black friday sale. Got a heck of a deal! I still have Christmas stuff to buy later and I'll use your link again.
If you do even a 1in undercut first on logs in the air then cut from the top you dont get that long barber chair and are less likely to pinch your bar.
Your vids make me think… What do you do with all of the “slash” after you haul out the logs?? Leave it? Pile it? Haul it to a field? Burn it? Chip and mulch??? With a lot of trees down, there’s bound to be a LOT of slash.!!
I didnt know this was a thing. There really is an attachment for every task. I havent needed tk winch any trees yet but this would be nice. Right now i just use my ATV to pull out one tree at a time. But they aren't very big since a lot of what I'm pulling out are sun starved.
I think the weight and the lifting power is more important for specking a skidding winch than the pto hp. The skids are run at idle so I can't imagine the pto hp matter much
No kidding, I've been tempted to record an episode that shows exactly that. It literally takes 3 to 4 times as long to complete a job now with camera movements and sometimes having to reshoot scenes because something wasn't correct.
I lost count how many times I broke cable and never seen snap back, that only happens on certain types of rope, cable dont stretch so it dont snap back.
Been cutting for 30 years, got all that on stand by off camera if need be. I know how to run a saw and keep myself out of trouble. I also always have ear buds in, you don't see it.
Put the comma after the "s". If there is only one member of the Kelley family then it is correct. For two or more family members, it should be like this: "The Kelleys' Country Life". Cheers.
I get so nervous whenever you're cutting fallen trees, I hope you have hard top shoes, you don't want your toes to get hurt! At least you're not wearing flip flops!!! 😞
You could have dragged that whole tree out without being cut up. I have a 1989 model 20 horsepower craftsman riding mower that I've drug a few 60 foot oak trees up a 45 degree hill with no problem
Had I known a mud hole was going to present a problem I would have done that. I don't drag trees if I can help it. You're putting sand all in that bark to dull a chain later.
Love how Ruger gets so intense watching you. Looks like he is trying so hard to learn.
He's making sure I don't mess up.
That fork walk ..... excellent! 🤣💪
Got to do what you got to do.
@@TKCL yes Sir. 💪
I like the way Ruger said okay you're cutting it right? I'll walk away. You got this
He's always paying attention.

Agreed, plus less than half the price of others, and it looks like it's working great for you!
keep up the good work young man and ruger is making sure you are doing the job right. be bless
He's always watching 👀
I like seeing you do that with the smaller horsepower tractor that’s a more common size tractor for smaller pieces of property so it really shows how versatile they are. Great video Andrew.
I like showing this too as it's a very common size most people can relate to.
Andrew, your content is fantastic‼️I love your tractor and firewood videos so I'm all in. Take care.
Thank you for watching

A log arch is in my to do list.
Love this type of video. Really what the channel originally started with. Appreciate the throwback and can’t wait for more!
That's good to see that skitter works with you in the small tractor. That means such diversity which you can use in your property 😁
I was surprised
That lil tractor is a hossie! For smaller trees that will be a great saver on the Deere and give you so much versatility. I wasn't thinking the problem was gonna be mud by your title LOL.
I wasn't expecting mud either.
That winch helps you out a lot. 🤠
It sure does
Hi, Andrew! I am excited about more tractor videos. This was fun. See you Sunday.
See you then
Very impressive results considering the tractor is only 24hp...excellent outcome :)
Both worked better than I was expecting
I am impressed with the wench on that little tractor. Thanks
Me too
Those small tractors often amaze me... about time for some trailcam pics to gear us up for hunting season.... :)
I've been saving quite a few pictures, I'll slip them in an upcoming video.

A lot of people do that here to dodge the snow and winter months.

Glad you enjoyed it
@@TKCL what do you do with your firewood down in Fl? Very limited season if at all.
@davekana8388 not at all we burn outdoors from September through April. People also buy a lot for cooking.
@@TKCL outdoor boiler?
@davekana8388 no need here, we burn outside recreationally for enjoyment. We usually run between 30-70 degrees all winter long.
Looking forward to seeing the fab work.
First video out tomorrow.
This is what hubby and I will be doing tomorrow. Minus the wench. Have to have fuel for the furnace!!
Be safe
Great video. Hope you get that log arch that should be a big help. Also, hope you get that saw mill too. Enjoy watching your progress. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for watching. I'll be working on those tools and equipment as I can.

Appreciate you so much. It's honestly a huge help.
Dang that was impressive 😮😮😮 i totally didn't think it would work 🤷🏽♂️
Worked way better than expected
You got a lot trees to bring out of there rig a high line on a smaller scale and logging
Good day all. Be well everyone.
Good morning
@@TKCL It is, Joy and peace.
you could use the home stead fire truck! wash them logs clean!
Very true! 🤔
@@TKCL hey just helping a brother out!
Andrew be safe. I had a chainsaw incident doing exactly what you are doing. I wear chaps now. Stitches and staples suck.
If you do even a 1in undercut first on logs in the air then cut from the top you dont get that long barber chair and are less likely to pinch your bar.
I agree
Nice job putting the equipment to work! Did you consider putting some logs down in the mud hole, across the trail?
I have, but none of my good ones. I'll find some trash sections.
Thank you for using the winch on the 24. Very useful information. I see you haven’t been wearing you chainsaw chaps 😬
I was surprised to see how well it worked on that tractor.
Your vids make me think… What do you do with all of the “slash” after you haul out the logs?? Leave it? Pile it? Haul it to a field? Burn it? Chip and mulch??? With a lot of trees down, there’s bound to be a LOT of slash.!!
I leave most of it to rot in the woods. Piles make great habitat for birds, rabbits and other small animals. On single trees I'll often chip it.

This is an awesome piece of equipment, but not for everyone. You need to deal with a lot of trees to justify it.
Lovely bit of kit though
I think the weight and the lifting power is more important for specking a skidding winch than the pto hp. The skids are run at idle so I can't imagine the pto hp matter much
It just speeds it up
You could fill the hole in with wood chips.
What people may fail to realize is how many trips you took back and forth to the camera 😂
No kidding, I've been tempted to record an episode that shows exactly that. It literally takes 3 to 4 times as long to complete a job now with camera movements and sometimes having to reshoot scenes because something wasn't correct.

Little under cut on those tree's first will stop the splitting
Correct
Hello Andrew I sent you an email earlier in the week. Seeing if you had time to see it. Thanks
I just went and checked, your email was marked as a phishing scam lol. I have no idea why? I'll read it tomorrow and get back to you.
@@TKCL thank you
Winch blanket or cable dampener.
Cable damper, thats it. I couldn't remember the name.
What size bar are you using on your chainsaw
That was a 18 inch bar on my old Stihl Ms260 pro.
I was in the woods the day before I asked and felt like my 18 inch bar was under sized looking at some of my trees on my river bank lol
My bigger saw has a 25 inch bar and a 32 for the big stuff.
I thought getting a tractor stuck was supposed to be a secret LOL
Naaa, I share all!
You ever need a hand, hit Me up Brother. I aint to far down the road. 💪💪
Thank you
Son get some chaps, hearing protection, a couple of wedges,, and you wont be scaring the snot out of people that know what you aint doin right!

Power wash before sawing.
No need in Florida, leave outside in all the rain for a few weeks.
I get so nervous whenever you're cutting fallen trees, I hope you have hard top shoes, you don't want your toes to get hurt! At least you're not wearing flip flops!!! 😞
Lol yes I'm wearing steel toe boots.

no chaps?
And wouldn't it be nice to buy a forestry trailer?
If you can, put the stump in the mud hole stump down roots up. Stump is now gone.
