Pistol 'Training' vs 'Practice' - What's The BIG Difference?

- 'Training' is the input into your mind/memory, that 'practice' will develop into skill.
Simple but profound. Many people learn basic shooting through training, but never develop the habit of practicing, and developing what they learn into dependable skills.
Skills that could mean the difference between life and death.

First comment, you look great with a mustache. Said with complete respect.
As a classical musician who has spent many many thousands of hours in the practice room, I understand the difference between practice and training. Practice can be nothing more than keeping your voice or your fingers or your breathing apparatus in good shape and coordination. Training involves achieving a goal and there is more of a perfection element in training. Practice can be for 5 minutes. Training is longer and more complex. It's an important distinction and I thank you for talking about this topic.
Good info Mark. Just one question......how does one find a trainer?
With the amount of information available today, they're not hard to find. Local trainers often have FB profiles with their info. Also, checking with local gun stores.
Nationally known trainers can be contacted and classes joined, through many of their websites.
Some of the best trainers from basic to high level tactical have countless videos on TH-cam, some very detailed.
Lots of choices. Seeing them in action, how long they've been training, references from beneficiaries of their training. All to take into account.
