This may be my favorite video that you've done. Very informative. I love watching the racing footage, but the behind the scenes daily routines are really cool to see 👍🏽
T Mez!! You need to be in a wing ride full time! In a High Limit ride or WOO. You at Eldora next year! Man that has a nice ring to it! Good luck the rest of the year man!! Always fun watching you put on a show out there
Never in a million years. Would I imagine. That dirt cars would end up on dyno's. Just blows my mind. Thank you for the ride. Makes me wounder if Scott Bloomquist did the same.
living in Mid Missouri i got to drive a sprint car at a friends homemade track at his house, one of the funniest things i ever have done. that raw power. super fun. not many can afford to race tho. nice vid.
Great video. Now all you have to do is go down the straitaway as for and as fast as you can. When you get to the end, turn left. If you make it, do it again. Good luck Tmez and Tim.
Man even these informational videos are awesome to watch! Makes me realize how much we were missing when I was running 360 sprints 😂😂! Can’t wait for the Wednesday vid
Glad you got a winged ride! Kings Royal was a great show this year, hope to see you in it next yr. I been studying motors a bit on TH-cam and it’s crazy what goes into the huge HP motors. They measure the frequencies of the parts and stuff!! Insane big brains working on them motors. 800hp to the wheels has got to be an absurdly rowdy machine. Thanks for the great content, Tmez.
I got to see you race at Red Hill, At least for a it bit. Looked like you were having some mechanical difficulties which was disappointing. Would love to see you come back again.
I always told my dad if we dyno my car I don’t want to be present. This was stressing me out just watching lol. I have no idea why but the idea of being in or around the car on a dyno makes me more nervous than racing the car.
This is bad ass. My super charged Mustang gt makes 805hp to the wheels on e85. Of course it weight 2000lbs more than a sprint car. It’s scary so I couldn’t imagine what driving a sprint car feels like.
You've done it again, mate. Another great, raw, behind the scenes video. 🤙🤙 No doubt, that Tim is the man, and if they made burnt methanol smelling cologne, I'd buy it😂.
Couple things; - The wafting of the methanol smell into the nostrils… real ones know. - I knew sprintcar dynos existed but i’ve never seen one so thanks for this awesome insight and i’ll be watching this a few times over. - I think it’s often underestimated how freakin loud these things are when they’re at noise. I got to drive a 410 a couple months back and cause it wasn’t a race night I didn’t have my ear plugs. It was so uncomfortable how damn loud it was even at 7000RPM, when you’re that close to it at full noise hot damn does it hurt the ears. Sick video.
Sometimes I wonder if the absolute maximum horsepower is usable? Sure on a hooked up sticky track, but on these dryslick dustbowls, seems that less would actually be more. Otherwise you'd just be blowing the tires off it? 830 horsepower? I'm sure for most of us THAT would cause a brown flag moment for sure! What's the car weigh? 1200 pounds? That would be .69 hp per pound. Sounds like a wild ride to me. Have fun Thomas , and looking forward to Wednesday's video.
Tim and Tammy are Great when Tim was still driving , Tim and Tammy and Wes would run the road, with Kenny Woodruff and I from race to race , and Pit next to one another. Never will you meet better more hard working people.
Awesome video! How come nobody ever shows the actual dyno chart in these videos?! It can’t be a secret, right? 🤷🏻♂️ 😉 It’s a necessity with these videos so us fans can appreciate the TQ/HP power band on each of these custom built engines. 😉
Until you’d shown your midget ride on the dyno, I’d assumed all this was done on an engine dyno. But now I see why small time local guys can struggle for weeks when they’re piecing something together. The Dyno really does speed up the figuring shit out.
THANKS T, that was VERY INTERESTING, stuff. Never seen or actually watched a dyno test run. Are you going to run the rest of the USAC season in the sprint as well as the midget? Livin yer BEST life dude, KEEP ON KEEPIN ON👍🏁🇺🇸
Feel like this entire process would be so much easier if they put a dag burn starter on the things but I guess I’m a late model guy so I wouldn’t understand lok
This may be my favorite video that you've done. Very informative. I love watching the racing footage, but the behind the scenes daily routines are really cool to see 👍🏽
Glad you enjoyed it!
If there’s a better guy in the industry than Tim Engler I’d like to meet him. What an asset to have available. 👍👍
I don’t think so he is the best
Tim Engler is the best. That’s all there is to it. Blessed to have him help on our racing program and love seeing TMez run out of that shop!
That was absolutely the best, thank you Mr Engler. The amount of knowledge he has is unbelievable...They don't make many people with his knowledge.
I appreciate that
I am so proud to call Tim Engler a very good friend. He and wife Tammy are 2 of the nicest people you're ever going to meet!!! Love them both!
I enjoy learning the tips and tricks from the circle track racers, like those fuel drains. I've never seen those before.

Maybe one day!

I could listen to that thing sing all day. Great vid TMeZ and thanks for explaining the nuances of that beast.
No problem 👍
Thanks TMez! I’m like a little kid at story time every time you do one of these off the track videos.
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing, seen Tim pull back in the day. He always had bad ass tractors. Bring that wing car east and run grove national open
I agree it was scary 😂 I thought wow like riding a bull 😮 it's great to see you talk motor jive. You really know your stuff 👍🤟
Thanks for showing what happens off the track... keep up the great work.
Thanks, will do!

One of the prettiest sounds in the world. Thanks for the ride! Cya john
Tim Engler been doing it forever… nice video TMez
Always interesting . Tim seems like a good man .
Very!
Great video. Fun and educational to watch. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
BR heads Thomas…B.R. As in Byron Reed. Had two BR motors from the CJB team that Kistler built. They ran decent for us! Should gas up well for u lol
I thank you so much for this and all your videos. I appreciate you taking the time to share
Thanks T-mez, loved that video.
Glad you enjoyed it
you should run more winged races, As soon as I win the Powerball you will be my driver a full winged racing program, you have skills in a winged car
Very interesting to see that part of the process. Weird seeing a sprint car on a chassis dyno.
Loving the behind the scenes info.

I am one of a few to wear a helmet in it.
Tim is a true Scientist
Man, that car looked near perfect at the end of the video, Hope that was qualifying

Donny`s TC was working hard. that's for sure
He’s the best at hooking the tires up
@@tmezTv only when the big money is on the line. Pretty sus to me.
I had a chance to meet Tim when he was still pulling at the Iona fairgrounds in Michigan. The Mission Impossible tractor was unstoppable.
I’ll share that with him he will enjoy that
@@tmezTv 👍
Awsone insight into what Tim does
Tim Engler is a "Genius"
My daily driver is making 800 WHP but weighs 3,800 lbs. Can’t imagine how much different it feels in a light sprint car.
You've done it again, mate. Another great, raw, behind the scenes video. 🤙🤙 No doubt, that Tim is the man, and if they made burnt methanol smelling cologne, I'd buy it😂.

Great episode.
Mission Imposible was the King of the tractors
I think that heads a BR. Byron reed and kistler developed it I hear. Tim Shaffer won the nationals with one
Absolutely love it. 💪 tune it out big dawg😊

More like 1450lbs with this car but it’s was fast as anything I’ve driven

The look of holy shit on your face while the Dyno started was awesome.!!! Keep up the great videos !!!
I thought I broke it 😂
Those dynos are so intimidating .great videos buddy!!!!!
Hey Thomas, when the girls shook their rear ends back in high school was that a little scary to you then!😂

I’m going wing racing and midget racing it’s looking like
Kool ❤
Do these cars have a rear diff or is it a solid axle ??????
Super show
Super

Wayne purser's uncle Sam unlimited modified pulling tractor. Usually runs 5 of those hemi's making around 13,000 total horsepower.
This is going to be for exhibition only I believe
You might get bored on the dyno since it's impossible to throw a slider 😅
Slide or die....
💪😎😂
Do you put two right rears or two left rears on for the dyno?
Yes. Rr
How much stagger do you run on the dyno? 😉
hydraulicing the motor lol
Were is Fairbury night two
On a hard drive for the winter. I have 5 nights of episodes hard to know what what to post I only have time to edit two a week
When are those hats gonna be available?
Tomorrow apparently my gf has not posted them despite me saying too. I don’t do the online store I don’t have time for it and the TH-cam content
Didn’t know they ran electric motors instead of gas engines.
Are you going to run sprint week at all?
Not looking like it haven’t heard much from Kyle
@@tmezTv dang it. Was hoping you would be racing.
😂😂🤏🏼👀
First :D
But did you watch it
@@tmezTv..
Whats your plan for Sprint Week?
It's wild I live not to far from his shop and I remember hearing this.
