Rudy Sarzo changed my life. He is the reason I play bass. When I saw the Diary of a Madman tour in 82-83, the world opened up. One of the greatest ever to play bass!! Thank you Mr. Sarzo!!🤘💀🤘

I saw Ozzy with Randy and Rudy in 1981. I could listen to Rudy talk about Randy for hours. Listening to Rudy is like opening a door to the past. Awesome awesome interview.. Thank you

Rudy’s the best… He’s played with everyone, including the incredible Randy Rhoads and Tommy Aldridge with Ozzy. I could listen to this guy talk all day!!

Rudy was the man during the 80's. He was on all the Hit Parader magazine covers. Mtv was playing his music all the time. He's the consummate bass player.

Wow. What a wonderful interview. Thank you for this.
God bless Randall William Rhoads, and God bless Rodolfo Maximiliano Sarzo Lavieille Grande Ruiz Payret y Chaumont.
And thank God for allowing me to see them both in person.

Great interview, Cassius! You can see the dark cloud come over Rudy's face when he begins discussing the late, great Randy Rhoads. Prayers for Rudy, I can only imagine how sad it continues to be for him!

This is great. Rudy is one of the best Rock bassists, not in spite of the Latin music background, but because of it. He has waaaaay more groove and soul than most hard rock guys. He's an American Treasure! He is one of the best musicians for interviews. I feel like he's a friend or mentor, more than just a cool player.

This guy. Think about the legends he played with and how many legendary tours and albums this guy has been a part of. Quiet Riot, Ozzy w/ Randy, Tommy Aldridge and Brad Gillis, back to Quiet Riot with Carlos on guitar, huge success for the first two albums, joined Whitesnake for the 87 tour with Tommy again on drums, Vivian Cambell and Adrian Vandenberg on guitars, then worked on the Slip of the Tongue album w/ Steve Vai, toured w/ WS with Tommy again, Vai and Vandenberg on guitar, started a new band with John Lowery (John 5), the label dropped them, so the split, but he still played w/ John 5 before he became 5, toured as Malmsteens bassist and Dio's bassist in the 90's, played in Blue Oyster Cult for a few years, toured with Geoff Tate, Joined The Guess Who, then back to Quiet Riot. What an amazing legendary career. Imagine being in his shoes working with such legends, releasing legendary albums and being a legend. What a life.

Yes - Rudy himself is a living legend. I wonder what anti-ageing pills he's taking 😁.

@@martheczkafelix5342 I have listened to Rudy play since the early 80s in Ozzy's tribe and heard what he was saying about "the changes" he had made in his life and his lifestyle. So to answer your question; I don't believe Rudy Sarzo wouldn't take an anti-aging pill (if there was such a thing) he is a self made man and music is all that he needs to continue on the journey of his collective consciousness through this frequency and others yet to come.
Also, hell yeah Rudy kicks ass every night. He's one of my all time favorite bassists (especially live) and a real down to earth kind of guy.
      ✌️☮️

I love Rudy talking about playing a song different live from on the record. That's so missing from today's shows. He's such a greater player than what he's known for. And also, Rudy's 72 and still has some of the best hair in the business.

Not only good hair, he looks 15 years younger 😍.

Rudy's outlook on life and spirituality are impressive. The kind of player that you hope to find when needed for his all around coolness.

I was in a band called Yankee Rose and we played the Starwood with a band Rudy and Frankie were in called Scarab. They joined Ouiet Riot after. They were always very cool guys.

I bumped into Rudy at a computer store years ago. He was the friendliest, most down-to-Earth celebrity you could imagine - an honest, open and truly nice guy.

Rudy is THE MAN!!! I would guess probably one of the most widely known bass players in the Hard Rock genre. He definitely stands out in the crowd and is an awesome showman!!!!

Remember that one Rudy bass line? Me neither.
He should have told everyone about the bus driver/pilot issues the day Randy died. Not 30 years later.
