Ty Sir, newbie here, I have been looking for that freaking return line 😂lo and behold I attempted a last time bamm! Your video pops up. Your instructions are concise and clear. Even though I drive not a forerunner just a little ‘Rolla 07. You still helped me. Cheers from Montreal, Can.
A word of Caution, guys. Be careful taking the upper power steering hose off the reservoir. They get very stiff with time and can be very, very difficult to get off. I have broken the nipple before and then you have to get a new res. Nice video otherwise. As others said: clear and right to the point.
Thanks for the video. My power steering pump whines (almost sounds like a supercharger) and the sound correlates to RPMs. Any chance this could be replaced with fluid flush? Previous owner just replaced the steering rack at 85k miles.
Hey you can defiantly try the flush I would do it regardless! The whining I had was resolved by new bearing and belt pulleys is it possibly it could be one of those?
Thanks for the easy instructions! I was worried mine had a bigger problem but I gave this a try and it seems to have solved the issue.
Glad it worked same reason I did it cheap easy fix

Hell yea! Love the little FJ on the table also!
Thanks man! Thanks for watching
My shampoo bottle basically is capped with a similar pump. I should definitely keep one. I had no clue it could be such a useful tool, lol!
Wow! That’s a really smart idea never even thought to re purpose it!!!
Thank you for your detailed instrucstion. I am for sure going to need flush my steering fluid.
I just did a steering flush and it is night in day. What a big difference it made on my steering input. Thank you once again for making the video.
Glad I could help man! It’s always a good feeling to fix the little problems for cheap
Bro what kind of fluid you used? If not toyota, what fluid specs can be used. Thanks!!

@@mattgiorgi7507 pulleys have been replaced and mechanic's stethoscope definitely identified the power steering pump as the noise maker.
Pouring it in the glass like he's about to sip it like wine 😂
I thought about it!
Thank you for sharing and take the time to make this video.
Appreciate the support I enjoy helping others!
can you show the front jacking point? Maybe a view of under the car
thanks 🙏 man you helped me a lot with my land cruiser 76 series
Any thoughts on a the line having a leak? Is this something you'd recommend doing DIY or would you take it?
If it has a leak in the line you definitely should change it! Depends how confident you are in your mechanical abilities!
Thank you
Glad I could help!
Great tips, 👍
Thank you for watching!

Great video and good instructions but Good luck getting that return line off to anyone trying this method. 90% of the time it will not come off
That’s weird I’ve never had a problem with any of them coming off before. You did remove the hose clamp first?
👍🏻
Thanks 🙏
I think you meant to say "a simple an efficient way" and not "a simple an inefficient way..."
Good job though!
He's Canadian, eh.
So easy to remove that reservoir and wash it out with brake clean or spray-9.
How to change fluid in 5 mins displayed on 10 Min clip 🙌🛸

Drive a "beater" car in the winter, save that FJ from the metal eating salt. They are not making any more.
