As a Cardinal fan, I have this: 1976 they go 10-4 and miss the playoffs. 1977 they went from 7-3 to losing the final 4 games to finish 7-7 then they lose the first 8 games in 1978 although they finish strong going 6-10. 1998 they make the playoffs for the first time in a non strike season since 1975 and even upset the Cowboys in the wild card game but the following season they go 6-10 and didn't have another winning season until 2008. Speaking of which... 2009 they go 10-6, win the division for the 2nd year in a row, and win the highest scoring playoff game in history only to go 5-11 and finish last in 2010. 2015 they go 13-3 and ended up in the NFC title game only to go 7-8-1 the following year. And finally, in 2021 they start the season 7-0, ended up going 11-6 and got completely embarrassed in the wild card game then in 2022 they're going to finish 4-13 and in dead last.
As a Rams fan, I really thought there was a chance to repeat but we were pretty beat up this year. It would DEFINITELY have been frustrating if we didn't have a ring to show for those trades
Good point. Also there was the 1989 Bengals. They went from 12-4 division and conference champions in '88 to 8-8 and last place in the competitive AFC Central as the other three teams all made the playoffs.

In 2004, the packers won their 3rd straight nfc north title at 10-6. In 2005, they went 4-12. First losing season since 1991. Brett favre committed an nfl record 36 turnovers
That 2008 Packers squad had seven 1-score losses, so it's not surprising that they regressed to the mean and improved in the following years, from a wild-card appearance in 2009, to a Super Bowl win in 2010, to a 15-1 season in 2011, and from there settled in to about 10-12 wins in every season from 2012-2021 where Rodgers didn't miss significant time. 1:14 "When four different Quarterbacks start a game in one season, things probably aren't going great" Me: crying and laughing in 49ers. (3rd so far, and this one is playing the best of the three)
I feel like you could have put half of Mike Smith's Falcons teams on here. It puzzles me how he won Coach of the Year three times when he could never put together a string of good teams. There's a reason why he hasn't been a head coach ever since the Falcons canned him. The 2002 Rams always get a mention on these lists but everyone forgets that the 2002 Patriots went 8-8 and missed the playoffs. The 2020 Texans had a Divisional Playoff hangover, going 4-12 the season after blowing their 24 point lead and losing to the Chiefs. The 1982 49ers went from winning the Super Bowl to going 3-6 in a strike shortened season. Yes, there were only nine games that year but it feels like it should get a mention.
As a Cowboys fan, 2014 was such a hype year, unfortunately crushed by referee favoritism to GB. Typical. But man, when the trio of Dez, Murray, and Romo were out, I knew we were boned. No one believed me, saying the o-line would make any RB look good. Then we went 4-12. Disappointing, but not surprising.
1994/95 Browns going 11-5 winning the wildcard game to lose to the Steelers in the divisional round to go 5-11 in 1995 while Art Modell steals the team in the middle of the season to Baltimore
The 99 Rams took full advantage of the Falcons and 49ers having bad seasons Steve Young and Jamal Anderson both got hurt no wonder they won the NFC west division who else was going to win the Division the Panthers and the Saints 😂
Uh, tell the whole truth. Ted Washington broke his damn leg in 2002. The Bears' defense suffered because their methodology didn't work without him. The entire point of that defense was to occupy the o-line with big bodies up front so that Urlacher and company could mop up behind them. Without Washington they couldn't control the field. They didn't just fold and become "the old bears". It was more than just mentally checking out.
How about the 94 bills? After 6 straight playoff trips, 4 straight afc title wins, Buffalo went 7-9. The 41-17 loss to New england at home put the bills to bed for good
Ill never get tired of watching Dez cry about that no catch. One week after the refs gift wrapped his team a win against the Lions, the Boys lose because of the Calvin Johnson rule 😂 you can't write a better script than that. Karma's a bitch, Dallas.
I thought you were gonna put 2020-present Cleveland browns. The reason why is because it was the first time in a while the browns won an NFL playoff game. Then, they went downhill because of many things like Odell Beckham Jr, Baker Mayfield and more.
The Raiders still haven't completely recovered since that Super Bowl massacre by the buccaneers in 2002, they haven't won a playoff game since then, they would not make the playoffs again for another fourteen years

never been this early😅 (But jerry was #1 Wr Randy second and cris carter will def be 3rd) /Keep making banger’s’ and 2016 was a good year for Odell Eli manning and Victor cruz 6:26
Hey, coming back in 2023. The Rams did bounce back a little. They went 10-7 and made it back to the playoffs.
And then gave the Lions their first playoff victory since 1991
Cowboys 2014 season: ended with rob that catch should be catch. Following season was a huge nightmare.
You Cowboy cry babies make me laugh considering you benefitted from a horrible non PI call against Detroit not to mention Dez Bryant running onto the field to argue with the officials which should have been flagged also not to mention the slew of Cowboy calls over the years.
Dez caught it 😔still hurts, Dez will forever be my favorite Cowboy of all time🤍💙🤍💙✭ 🐐DC4L
Great Video 📸 NFL Throwback 🏈 Keep Up The Good Work 👍 Happy New Year 🎉🎊🥂🍾🎇🎆.
Sure Tony never got it done and was overrated but he was fun to watch
What do most of these have in common? Injuries. To quote a recently passed NFL vet, "The best ability is availability"
Before seeing if it's in the list, my biggest letdown was the 2005 Eagles. Went to the Super Bowl the previous year and played a close game. Then finished 6-10 and got swept by the division
Love to see that both teams from Super Bowl XXXIII collapsed after that season
Could you make more of these types of videos
Yeah, but if the 2015 implosion doesn't happen then the Cowboys don't get Zeke. They probably still get Dak, but who knows. Bottom line, it all worked out.
Resulting in only 1 playoff win after that implosion. It was sad to see Romo end his career this way after the team finally started to gel
As a Houston native and fan of everything we have sports wise I’m not surprised not one bit.
1998 49ers: 2nd place
1999 Falcons: 3rd place
1999 49ers: 4th place (out of 5)
2002 Bears: 3rd place
2002 Rams: 2nd place
2003 Titans: 2nd place
2008 Packers: 3rd place
2013 Falcons: 3rd place
2016 Giants: 2nd place
2018 Chargers: 2nd place
Tony Romo posterboy for this video ahahahahaha
1:14 "When four different Quarterbacks start a game in one season, things probably aren't going great"
Me: crying and laughing in 49ers. (3rd so far, and this one is playing the best of the three)
That the last picked player in the draft is fitting right in at quarterback, it has eased my near-lifetime hatred of the 49ers.
Unless your the 2023 Cleveland Browns what a fucked up season that was
@@sooners2037 - Remember when the Texans were on their 3rd QB and had two washed-up veteran QBs in Garcia and Delhome backing him up?
Superbowl XXXIII teams have a hangover
Chicagos 06-07 season you forgot
I see they didn't mention the 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars. They won the AFC South, and then the 2018 season it fell apart quickly.
After starting the season 3-1 which included a win over the defending champion Patriots.
@@shauncameron8390 *Super Bowl runner up
I feel like this is a trend, teams one year do so well and then the next year, it goes so bad for them
Can’t really include teams that got injury riddled big time. Colts and Cowboys would have had a good record had their QBs not gotten hurt.
That shitty catch rule was a cancer to the league.
i mean it wasn’t the ground game that was the problem. didn’t darren mcfadden have 1000 yards
LOL at a Cowboy fan whining about referee favoritism. Funny how EVERY one of the forget the horrible non call against Detroit the week before.
Scoring so quickly didn't seem to be the smartest decision as it would have been more time on the clock to allow Rodgers to score a touchdown.
1994/95 Browns going 11-5 winning the wildcard game to lose to the Steelers in the divisional round to go 5-11 in 1995 while Art Modell steals the team in the middle of the season to Baltimore
Colts had it hard, then passed to Broncos once Peyton left 😂
of course for sure that no catch from Dez Bryant, that was one of the biggest NFL blunders ever from the refs, and of course DEZ caught it
And yet you fail to mention the non pass interference call against Detroit the week before. Typical Cowboy cry baby.
3 teams collapsing between '98 and '99 making the list. RIP '98
moral of this story: Do not lose your starting qb
The 99 Rams took full advantage of the Falcons and 49ers having bad seasons Steve Young and Jamal Anderson both got hurt no wonder they won the NFC west division who else was going to win the Division the Panthers and the Saints 😂
Of course clips like this, they always start with the Dallas Cowboys!
You could've included the disaster that was the '05 Packers
#1 biggest NFL letdown: LV Raiders every season
I have said this for my entire life, DEZ CAUGHT IT!
I know my Oakland Raiders gotta b on there fa dat 2003 collapse
As a Rams fan, I’m already crying looking at the title.
Relax. You won a Super Bowl just 10 months ago, just take this as a "bye-year" and come back next year. Your best starters aren't even playing either.
@@Carbine64 I know things could be a lot worse, just disappointed with all the injuries and underperformance.
@@thekingbarrelmaker7642I know Seahawks & 49ers fans found the Rams poor SB championship defense hilarious.
Hope the chiefs join this list
I thought you were gonna put 2020-present Cleveland browns. The reason why is because it was the first time in a while the browns won an NFL playoff game.
Then, they went downhill because of many things like Odell Beckham Jr, Baker Mayfield and more.
We did make the playoffs again in 2023 behind what ever the fuck that season was
You should do a Frank Gore career highlights
Yeah I knew 2022 Rams would be here
Seahawks & 49ers fans found the Rams bad SB champ defending job hilarious.
The 1999 Broncos should not be in the list because Griese has to face some growing pains and we have a tough schedule.
Well the 1999 Broncos were the worst defending Super bowl champs until the Rams broke that record 23 years later.
You missed the 1963 New York Giants when they went 11-3 and lost the Chicago Bears in NFL championship and 2-11-1 and last place in 1964.
The falcons run game with Steven Jackson was historically bad
The Raiders still haven't completely recovered since that Super Bowl massacre by the buccaneers in 2002, they haven't won a playoff game since then, they would not make the playoffs again for another fourteen years
You can argue that super bowl loss killed the raiders franchise in Oakland.
They've gone through like 12 or 13 different head coaches since then , 14 or 15 different starting QBs @@treyblaze22
I still have nightmares about the Romo years, so glad he's not QB anymore, cause newsflash y'all, HE was the issue with those teams, no-one else.
It sucks that Dak doesn't seem to be the answer either.
You didnt mention the 2002 -2003 oakland raiders, suoerbowl loss in 2002 & 4 & 12 in 2003
Honestly, the 2008 Packers shouldn't be on here. Sharing a Division with the 0-16 Lions, GB could've had it WAY worse
They don't mention the Houston Texans Watson collapse cause they'd have to mention the messages
