This bike got mikuni VM34s. It's a simple swap. Lightyears better than the bings, lean and crisp. Takes some time to get jetting perfect but I have a good recipe
Love this bike. I’m building up a 75 r90/6 it’s great fun. What is the model and information of the carburetors? And same question for the rear suspension. Thank you!
This bike got mikuni vm34 carbs. They're better than the factory bings in my experience. the smartcarbs are far superior and the cost reflects that. Mikunis are good bang for buck.
I just would like to know appx ballpark how much do y'all charge for a restoration? Just curious though I do have a '78 R100 that I maintain myself mostly stock. She is my commuter and does awesome in 2024.
Again; it's a brat style, not cafe racer, you sound British so you should know better, and believe me, nothin "epic" on this bike, looks good, that's it
Boo, who pee’d in your Cheerios? I don’t recall seeing your credentials as the cafe racer police, please improve the attitude in your comments - or don’t.
Another amazing bike. Roughchild, you guys are knocking it out of the park! Congrats.
Much appreciated!
Think I'm gonna be picking up a r90 in a few days, can't wait!
Good choice!
Did you get it ?
671 subs.. this channel is growing so fast, i feel so happy for ya guys :D
All bigs things start small
compression and rebound damping knobs.. the preload is the nut on top of the spring
I understood that was on a screw shaft to extend the shock length without altering the preload?
Awesome stuff!
Glad you think so!
The only thing I don't like on this build is the seat thinnest compared to the tank size. Odd proportions. Otherwise solid.
I’m really happy with the seat. It’s thinner than usual too, allows riders legs to sit closer to the frame
Interesting to hear about the carbs, could you specify which models they are? My Bing’s are constantly giving me headaches…

Lovely build. Slightly over modernised IMHO ... but still great.
It’s still just 2 valves per cylinder and a pair of carburetors
@@RoughchildMoto That is very true. Keep up the great work, love your videos too.

It varies but typically, a lot
