I can appreciate the build but, for me, it doesn't sit well either as a street bike or an offroad machine. Not great at either. A gravel bike maybe? A softroader? The analogy to the Range Rover is spot on - a fabulous machine that has become something for the brand name poseur pottering around town. A waste of a genuine r80g/s - any old monolever would have done

Nice! 😍 But how did you manage to paint it in a Ferrari paint? Since, Ferrari has some guidelines and IDK if Ferrari paint is allowed on other cars / bikes.

I've ridden BMWs since all of them were airheads. Even among your incredible creations, this one sounds like an airhead from another world! Something is going on here that I hope to learn more about!

Love your builds, and this one especially. I have a '72 R75/5 toaster in black (with the Wixom bags like this too) and I've been trying to figure out how to get an off-the-shelf pair of this style of crash bar/engine bar to fit the bike. They all seem fit /6 and later only. If you don't mind sharing a trade secret... What did you do to get this style of crash bar? Fully custom fabbed? Modified the lower mount? Different lower motor mount hardware?

A Mate bought one(grey 90s) new in 1974,cost more then my new FX.He Hated it .Tried cam and extended sump , Hot in north Australia. Found Happiness with Moto Guzzi Le Mans .

Love this bike. There will always be haters, ignore them. You display a respect for airheads that is unique to the other BMW modders. And I am sure the design team who originally worked on that bike would agree.

The size of the front fender looks great on this bike. It's obviously very functional as well, something that is often overlooked on custom rides. I think it does an amazing job of balancing/matching with the large functional rear fender found on this era of BMW's.

Not to be critical but I noticed on a lot of your videos you mostly concentrate on filming on one side of the bike your showing is there any chance we could get a better look at the other side I really like the quality and design of your bikes keep up the good work always look forward to the next one

Shame you're in the States, that bike would be my dream bike and I'd consider having one built. Perfect amalgamation of Classic with Modern, just beautiful.

That's the best restomod G/S I've seen yet. I've got a 1986 BMW R80G/S fully original; it used to belong to my mother (no joke) and I did my driving test with it in 1997 at the age of 18. I'm so temped to switch to a 32L Paris Dakar fueltank, single seat and luggage rack. I wonder if it's plug and play and easily reversable.

Man, that is a sweet bike. Some mixed feelings about the hybrid/custom aspect but still pretty friggin' great. I'd be over the moon to have that bike. I had a '73 1/2 R75/5 (/6 wheelbase) that I bought new and had for 31 years. What a bike.

Fantastic OEM plus! Laughing at all the cavity comments. Reducing plastic is a good thing. But then only those who know, know the displacement.

Put some Blades on the engine you can trim the trails while you ride
