- In this vid we install and setup the PedalBox Throttle Controller! Is it better than iDrive, Windbooster, Pedal Commander? Definitely a premium throttle controller and also has an app for full control!
Like all throttle controllers it improves the pedal reposonse of your modern car but the PedalBox using it's PerfecTune tunes the module to your specific car - pretty cool! It also has a full smartphone app so you can control it via your phone - can even fully hide the unit and still control everything. In the vid we discuss how they work, install, setup the app and test drive!

⏩ Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
⏩ What will you find here?
The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)
⏩ What's with the gloves?
Not after any TH-cam fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing. Plus adds a little more personality I guess :)

Single best thing you can add to your car. The DTUK PedalBox is - in simple terms - brilliant.
(I have a Skoda Kodiaq, chipped, with a pedal box, upgraded airflow and exhaust, and upgraded ignition coils)

Great tutorial and results were equally as astounding when fitted to the Ineos Grenadier. Hard to believe the ECU had not been played with.
I run the evcX Throttle Controller X171 for my DMAX which is the newest from what was iDrive which is now Ultimate9 controlled via Bluetooth as well and has a learning mode as well

I got the direction plus controller when I got my provent/filter kit... But the controller does what I wanted it to do while matching the car so guess I'll call that ok 😆

Would be interesting to see how the auto transmission and your new gizmo interact - whether you get a lot of kickdowns. would also be interesting to see how it affects fuel economy, after the honeymoon period - ?? better fuel economy because you get the throttle response when you want it. Thanks, bloke.
Yeah am interested to, will see after some time in the saddle. For me I think the biggest advantage is the adjustability depending on what driving you're doing.
Hey love your tutorial. One question. Will the latest setting on the DTE pedal box be the same after u turn off the engine for a day? Some e throttle controller need to reset back to your setting everytime u off the engine. Example today on sports plus max level. Tomorrow suddenly became normal mode. 😂

For the data app at the end? Yes you need an obd2 reader and the torque app - if you checkout part way through my 2600km tow test video I talk through it 👍

Would be the same as the pedal module failing, would say it would kick in an engine mode/safety fail safe mode likely depending on the car

can I wire emergency vehicle dash lights that run off 12 volts all spliced off of the 12 volt plug-in on my console? All together I'll have about 10 lights that all are powered with 12v....
No, you'd want to be using a relay for that kind of load

Hey there! Yes, any car that has a fly-by-wire pedal (eg almost all new or newish cars). Most plugs are the same but some are different, you would just need to select your model :)
Hey Adam what double sided tape did you use, the one with the unit didn’t work so I used gorilla tape but that didn’t work either
Some crazy extreme outdoor tape (was red?) from Bunnings. Make sure you wipe off any protection first

Cheers mate! Yeah haven't heard great reports re the factory mats I'm afraid. These are excellent as bucket right up the sides and are a perfect fit - same with the rears. PERFECT for catching sand when at the beach and you can just pull them out shake em and done no sand. Link for the exact mats in the description if you're after more detail

@@ahmad6453 can't comment on either re the factory versions, got my window shields aftermarket and they've been great so far, am a big fan of those so you can crack a window in the wet etc. Will update the description with the ones I got. Re the bonnet one, I'm not a fan as when I've had them in the past they have just collected leaves etc and reckon was more trouble than its worth. Just my experience with them 🙂

Yeah, have the wireless charger head, so it's always connected. You just click your phone one and you're away

Not directly, it really depends on how you drive it
my plugs on the pedalbox arent even remotly the same? mine are round in shape and do not fit the cable on my gas pedal

Hi I have Trouble connecting the Bluetooth device to my iPhone it won’t show the blue light when I hold the plus button for three seconds what should I do?

It has a bunch of settings that you can customise to your preference.

Hmm that's weird.. I might stay on for a couple mins after you've locked it etc but should auto turn off. Maybe check after an hr?

Hey Spike, had an idrive on my Jeep for about 6 years does that count? Fun fact too - the idrive unit I install actually had the windboost logo all over their wiring loom... Thought that was interesting! As I said in the vid, not saying the idrive etc are bad, just stating facts on how they work, was happy with the unit in the jeep, thought the DTE unit was premium look and feel, love the Bluetooth and pedal tune 👍
