Yea, but now he's got a thumb print on the lens that's going to drive him nuts!
This is the first video of y'all's I've ever watched and man, what an episode to jump into!
I’m very scared about you, Matt. Working under the car in big hole it was very crazy. All money in the world did not cost one day with you family. Thinking about it every time then you start doing crazy things like this. Be safe, Matt
I think he can make his own decisions without you being worried about him. He’s an adult.
@@Mr.Torres831 That must be just why you'll probably never "get a call," ya think....
Ya would of been quite funny if it collapse on him only way someone like that learns
Eduardo Torres type of guy to report an OSHA violation. Lmao
@@everythingpnw Looking back on this recovery, I hope Matt concludes that he should have at least tied off before going down there in case the ground that he was standing on gave way. I'm all for gett'n 'er done, but Matt took a big risk on this recovery.
I'd say the word "sketchy" comes to mind when climbing under a 3500lb piece of metal stuck in a Swis Cheese sinkhole maze... you got BIG Kohonas Bro.....
When Matt first started going under the jeep In my head I was screaming NOOOOOOOO............
He could see that the portion of the road everyone is standing on is still pretty solid, no more risk of that washing out because he's down there than if he were standing on the 'road'. As for the Jeep collapsing down, the whole side of the 'mountain' would have to crumble for that to happen. Considering the Jeep was wedged between two solid pieces of Earth with no room to slide further down without massive amounds of dirt collapsing, there's very minor risk (at least no more risk than standing on the road).
Cojones*.
Risky yes. From what I've gathered it appears to be a calculated risk he was willing to take. From my perspective, he was willing to put his LIFE on the line to rescue the customers vehichle. That speaks volumes about his dedication towards his job. He's a modern day hero.
@@irate74 is it still being a hero when you know you're just about as likely to catch COVID-19 (1.5-3% chance) as you are to have the side of that hill collapse when you're under the vehicle? Funny fact, you're considerably more likely to die after a routine surgery than you are to catch COVID-19 and then an even smaller fraction of a chance of dying or having serious complications from the disease.
I have been watching your channel for quite some time now -this was a masterpiece of recovery from my point of view, well done!
Yikes, This one had me puckered and I am sitting in my recliner 500 miles away, 1 year and 5 months later.
Impressive recovery!
Incredible recovery Matt! Also, as a Warn employee, it's so satisfying to see our winches being used in real world scenarios and doing a good job.
That was one hell of a rescue. That must have taking all day. Stay safe Matt and Crew.
OMG, I was holding my breath and my whole body was tensed up over that one! That has to be the hardest one, and scariest one ever!! WTG team! You did it!! 👏👏👏💪💪💪
I can't thank you enough for driving in the appropriate lane. Always on the right, except when passing. If only everyone could do this, it's so easy and makes everyone's lives easier!
real stones to go down into that hole...it could have been a body recovery mission. He needs to add Fire rescue equipment...to his kit...air bags, jacks and timbers.
Balls of fucking steal that was some sketchy shit there.
This was an economy video. It can't afford public services.
You have a point, he could have been standing on another dirt bridge that dropped down 20 feet.
2:00 Watching those clouds roll past on fast forward looks beautiful.
Aint no way im going under that truck. period.
Id be scared to even walk near it..
I was thinking the same thing!
I'm surprised that Matt didn't change the oil while he was under there. 😂
I like the way you take every suggestion into consideration. Some people pretend they are experts and ignore any suggestions. Great team work!
Looks like one good rain and that road is dunzo
“I got stuck and all got was this stupid T-shirt from Matts Off Road Recovery” shirts need to be a thing
Matt should def have those. That would be awesome to give to the recovered driver
YES! Make this happen!!! I will come out and get stuck to get one! (maybe....lol)
That's a good one.
Funny
Don't you also get....unstuck?
"Keep solving the little problems until the big problem gets solved" That's heavy Bro, thanks for that one
Good job guys. I realy caught myself squeezing my muscles like helping push🤣 greetings from Germany
Incredible problem solving skills! Seriously! Love how he talks it out.
Good lord Matt! be careful! we want u to make it to Ed's age!
Don't let Jaymie see this one!
Ed's actually 47...but oh man, it's been full 47 I tell ya.
seems like it would have been easier to push it in and cover it up haha
, Who would do that to their Jeep ? OIIIIIO
By the time you pay that recovery bill you'd probably be out ahead to do just that!
Well this is just swell - now every time I venture down a trail I'm going to be worrying about the ground opening up and me falling in a bottomless pit! I hope you put some kind of a barricade up so the next guy that comes along doesn't end up in there.
It would be illegal for him to do so. That would be the responsibility of whoever maintains the road.
I am glad to see Matt uses the left lane only to pass and not to cruise.
i keep waiting for matt to say "we're gonna have to stack some rocks"
HAHAHA ... good one!
A trailer or two of rocks would have been one way to get them out.
Yeah. Several thousand of them
Omg that prius video
When Matt got down in the hole I was thinking “don’t tell mama”!
I LOVE THE DRONE SHOT AT THE END.
I like watching for the drone during the video too. First time I see it in this video is at 21:45
they shot a drone?
@@sterlingbartlowe1647 drone camera shot
That was scary to even watch... You guys did an EPIC job getting it out, and with no injuries and minimal damage. AWESOME!!!
Almost needed a Ron Pratt with an off-road rotator
They company wouldn’t then do that even a off road roster it would not be ideal as it could slide off either side
Tater would be too heavy to bring up in there! God I sure do love that big ol rig and a lot of respect for that man!!
Red Garcia I watch his yt ro
code 3 response lights and siren
After working for an industrial manufacturing plant and having 13 coworkers die during my career, there is no way I would have gone under that jeep.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I reallllllly didnt like seeing matt get under there.
How's the weather in China this time of year?
“You’re crushing my fender” well you drove into a sinkhole.
Why take a vehicle off road anyway , if you worry about the paintwork?
@@51WCDodge My thoughts as well
@@darynbatterson4937 I find driving a large modified V8 Discovery covered in mud and clay tends to make other road users treat you with respect. :-)
If the owner was concern about that then he could have used the shovel to throw some dirt into that hole, it would have taken him about half an hour as the soil was pretty loose.
"i could leave if you like"
The jobs you tackle are truly amazing, just another day in Matt’s operation, most of us probably couldn’t get to these locations, let alone hauling people out of these situations, without Matt, what would these people do?
Excellent work Matt, you really know off road recovery condition issues and you stay so calm and collected
I held my breath as he crawled underneath the jeep, i was just waiting for the jeep to settle into the hole. Dirt looks very soft and crumbly
00:24 I have never seen someone take their glasses off like that.
Maybe because of the possibility of poking your own eye.
@@wevonox7941 I wear glasses and I've never taken them off like that or poked my eyeballs. Interesting technique.
Bro right? He's got some of that swag hanging around from the 80's.
Hi, this is OSHA just came in to check how the safety of the working conditions are looking 🤠
First video I’m watching 51 seconds in. I’m already subscribed. Already can tell I’m going to like this channel
My wife was wondering why I was talking to my phone while I was watching this video. Good job Matt!
Whenever I hear “So we got a call”.....I get all pumped up! 😀
Wow that's the most sketchy situation so far. Looking at the drone footage I'd guess that whole section of track has slid away now. Matt you're brave getting under that Jeep. Glad it all worked out in the end. Team work makes the dream work!
