    Thanks for doing this test! I was hoping someone would do this! Pretty cool to see the device in action. AirTag definitely suffers from a unique problem - it doesn’t delight us every day like the rest of Apple’s products. Its something that might come in handy on a day that would otherwise be ruined.

    • @OneTechMind

      Hey Alec, what’s good man? Glad you enjoyed my madness! 😅
      I love how you characterized the ‘delight’ factor. Very good points! 💯

    Yes! Loved this video. New Subscriber right here man. Would love to see more test as well. Maybe ship it through the mail to one of your friends across the city or country and see the route and how often it pings back its location.

      Thanks so much, Marcos! Really appreciate your feedback; welcome to the OTM community! 😄
      I saw a few others have done testing through the mail, so this vid was my unique spin on testing the Find My Network specifically. I’ll keep that in mind, though!

    Interesting test.
    Tile have gone with the Amazon ring network so that should be competition.

    *Apple could sell a billion airtags within the next few years because i think most people will buy the 4 pack.*

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure. Apple priced these things to sell. They’re going to be the new “default tech gift” for Apple users.

    I'm new to apple ecosystem. I don't know what Rosetta is.
    On my M1 Mac, Safari and Chrome, open using Rosetta. Is this good for my Mac? Or should I uncheck that option.
    Also, Chrome opens in low resolution, idk why. I downloaded it from the official website 'Chrome for Mac with Apple chip'. Should I change it to higher resolution?

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! Rosetta 2 is translation software Apple built into the new M1 Macs. Basically, any apps not fully updated for M1 can only open through Rosetta.
      However, Safari and Chrome are both M1-compatible, so you shouldn’t need to open them through Rosetta.

    - Question; If I have a AirTag on my car keys and I have a few friends in my car as passengers and they all have iPhones will they all receive notifications that an AirTag is following them?

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there Joseph! No, they should not receive any notifications while the tag is in close proximity to your phone. Additionally, the tracking alert only pops up if you arrive back home (or other significant location) and you have been traveling with a tag that is away from its owner’s phone.

    Good one. Now check the compatibility with an android device. Like, whether you can track a guy who owns an android?

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! That’s an interesting idea. The only Android compatibility that exists today would be scanning the tag via NFC to pull up info about it.
      That does make me wonder if Apple would ever consider expanded Android support at one point… 🤔

    Putting the air tag in lost mode makes it “un-pairable” to anyone that should find it. From what I understand

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tested this separately.
      Once paired to your iPhone, Pairing Lock is engaged at all times, even without placing the tag into Lost Mode. The message on the lost mode screen simply serves as a reminder. I was hoping this was the case, but the wording from Apple had been a little unclear.

    • @jacetyler8535
      @jacetyler8535 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, so anyone who finds that airtag won’t be for free as it will be unusable to him.
