- I have tried several methods and what you’ll see in this video is the only way I was able to fix the problem. I will go over every step I took to solve the issue (Install Error 0x80073D26).
Type Run on the search bar at the bottom left.
Type Regedit on the Run application
Find: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services
Find and delete: GamingServices & GamingServicesNet
Restart your computer.
Go to the search bar again and type PowerShell.
Right click PowerShell and select run as administrator.
Copy and paste the following:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
Hit enter after copy and paste.
Copy and paste the following:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Hit enter after copy and paste.
Reinstall game services and make sure you install game services on your device. To be sure restart your computer after this and try to access your Microsoft games.

Method number 2 in this video seems to fix the issue for most people. I had to do all the steps in this video to fix mine. The powershell must be running in administrator to make the changes you need.

Are you pressing enter after pasting? Are you running the powershell as administrator?

Try number 2 first. If that doesn't work, try 1 and then 2.

I followed your instructions EXACTLY without trying to skip ahead, and now my game is downloading and my services have been installed properly. Microsoft really needs to fix this. People shouldnt have to do all this just to play the games they paid for

Hey man i have a problem. When i deleted the "Gaming Services" and "Gaming Services Net" and then restarted the computer, i think both these files were never reinstalled and now i cant continue with the process, i already tried updating the gaming services program but it never showed up, and now im stuck.
Here are some suggestions: make sure that you are restaring the PC, not turning it on and off. Most people seem to solve their issue by only using method 2, in my case I had to do metgod 1 and then 2. Perform method 2 and install gaming services on your device, as shown in the video.

Awesome! I had to do method 2 again recently to let new games install.
My games didn't want to install today. I just followed these steps to fix that:
Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:
Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
Restart your device and try to install the game again.

It was fixed when I uninstalled the firewall program(zone alarm) I was using. I tried everything before this. None of them worked. Everything is working now.

when i try to remove gaming services in powershell it says Access Denied
Make sure you run the Poweshell in administrator or that an authorized user runs it in administrator
@@FACA117 mine pops up red error codes and won’t work through power shell

it failed to remove mine from the power shell. i think its a sign for me to just stop messing with MS

It took me hours to fix this problem. Solutions that were working for others were not working for me. I can only recomend taking a look at the article in description of this video to see if those solutions work, or contact Microsoft support.
