You have saved me from going mad for going on 2 and a half hours now and about to just cry because I couldn’t figure out how to get the damn battery out!! Thank you so much 😅😊
BRO! I searched for this video a week before you posted this. 😂 I ended up giving up because I'm cheap and this motherboard was not cheap...so I didn't want to damage or break the clip...lol THANK YOU SO MUCH! Life saver man! Sub earned
It's not a very popular video at the moment so I'm glad it helped. I went looking and couldn't find anything so that's why I made the video. It'll get more views as the batteries in these holders start to empty. 😊
THANK YOU for posting this. I couldn’t find anyone who explained this peculiar problem with MSI battery retention! I probably would have broken the battery holder if I had kept trying to figure out how to release it.
Thank you. Got that pos out.. Was driving me mad.😂 I managed to get it out by inserting the tweezer from the battery side and working it out far enough to grab it that way. Didn't have to bend anything. 😊
Glad it helped. The batteries contain Lithium... which reacts violently with water - with a reaction that cannot be suppressed if the battery has been swallowed. Have a look for Lithium reaction videos - there's a lot showing what it does. 😢
You can leave the little plastic clip out - that makes it more like the usual battery socket. You've actually got to be pretty careful removing the clip if you want it to go back in - that's only really likely if you know how the socket clip works. Which you didn't until you saw this video so don't worry. As long as the battery is held in place securely it's fine.
I bought 7day ago msi h610 ddr5 lga1700 motherboard i face bios problem .i face boot loop i try to remove battery but nothing happened this plastic give pain not reset bios.see u r video i try..my pc turn on direct windows boot no motherboard manufacture logo nothing. see video let's try.ok
Because the creator of this video was so nice and used a jump cut to where that piece was suddenly missing - it's a small rubber spacer. All you need to do is reach down and pull it out. It's very loosely placed in there by the manufacturer.
It isn’t loosely placed - it’s a child proof design. On the motherboard in the video it’s clearly rigid plastic and not rubber too. If you’ve got strong enough and long enough finger nails then you could grab it and get it out without using a tool. Probably. But people will watch this because they want a bit of guidance. If they could get the battery out as easily as you suggest, then they wouldn’t need to watch this video or comment on it.
This might actually be the first video about this specific problem mate thank you so much for this
😁

I snapped the plastic bit off and bent the clip I’m just praying it doesn’t snap off or bend more so it doesn’t keep it clipped it.
