The Star Wars posters are in the order I like to view them while sitting playing games. I couldn't bare having Return of the Jedi being the movie I see most, when the other two I like more.
Kirby 20th anniversary for the wii is great. Has 6 games, one of which is kirby superstar which was like 8 games in itself, albeit small. It also has some history, gameplay video, a cartoon episode or two, and a few minigames added it as well. Great value, especially for a kirby fan.
Sonic Mega Collection & Sonic Gems Collection on GameCube should be added to this list. There is also a PS2/XBOX version of the Mega Collection as well.
Only downside is that its only 21 games on the disc, as you have to download all of the 360 games. Still a fantastic compilation of games with a ton of neat extras.
I don't typically play online FPS multiplayer games because 1) I don't have the time or patience to commit to getting good at them and 2) I really prefer a good single player story. However, thanks for watching my videos! :)
I would have loved to include some of those 80s tunes in the video, but sadly TH-cam would flag it or remove it. But you're right: the songs are totally tubular dude, fer sure! :)
Metal Jesus, you're the first guy I go to when I want suggestions for new games to add to my collection. I need to track down all of these anthologies now!
It only has 3 games, but it might be up your alley. Toaplan Shooting Battle Vol1 for the Japanese playstation 1. Includes Tiger Heli, Kyuukyoku Tiger, and Twin Cobra. All games with stunning remixes of the original music.
i was surprised how addicting neo turf masters was, great game. My favorite compilation has to be the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection and Activision Anthology, love pitfall 1 and 2. Great video!!!
Namco Museum Virtual Arcade for 360 is amazing if you like classic Namco titles. Also Samurai Shodown Anthology for PS2 or Wii. Sonic Gems Collection is pretty great as well.
PC game collection: Dungeons & Dragons Master Collection Has Baldur's Gate I & II plus expansions, Icewind Dale I & II, Planescape: Torment, and Temple of Elemental Evil. Amazing list of top class games.
I did not know there were so many Compilation sets out there!! New Compilations as well for the PS3?? Golden Axe Warrior?? We'll I know a gift I'm gonna give my brother, just to play myself!!!
A lot of these particular compilations are actually available on the PSP and make great carry around games when you are on the go. There versions play very well. The PSP hardware actually does quite a good job of the SNK classics collection i.e. I have not noticed any slowdown.
I'd like to cover PC game collections but 1) I don't have the big boxes for the them all, and I like to show them 2) it can be very time consuming to get all the old games working under Windows so I can capture game play footage. I'd like to cover them in the future, but it would take serious planning!
Hydro Thunder was an oddity on Midway Arcade Treasures 2. It used the Dreamcast menu system, yet it was the arcade version. You could tell because the direction of the alligators in one of the levels. As for another great compilation I would have to say Tekken 5 on PS2. Most people don't realize it but it is a full 5 game pack. It not only contained the then new Tekken 5, but also had arcade versions of the first 3 Tekkens as well as a full version of Starblade.
Quest for Glory Anthology was an awesome compilation. I think Shadows of Darkness is my favorite but the VGA remake of So you want to be a Hero? is great as well. I also really like Wages of War. Screw it, they're all tied for #1 =)
Thanks for covering the Activision Anthology! Had no idea you could collect virtual patches in the game - definitely moved up on my want list! I've been on the fence about Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the new-gen consoles. I know it's a great compilation, but playing old-school games on HDTVs has never felt quite right. I don't suppose this set throws in a scanline overlay or some such?
You should release your own album. I absolutely love your outro riffs! It has that same gritty sound I find in 80s, early 90s heavy metal bands. It reminds of the album Gothic from Paradise Lost.
Such a great bunch of compilation discs shown in this video. I've got most of them aside form the Atari stuff. I do however have an Atari 25th Anniversary edition on my PS1 which is pretty good. Another great video MetalJesus. Yours are consistently some of the best in the YT gaming community.
Nice. I need to get more compilations myself. The Atari compilation on the DS is cool. You can use the touch screen to simulate the trackball for games like Centipede.
Hi dude I'm 54 and been playing games since I was 20 I had everything from spectrum 48 k to now I've got a ps3 and just recently I brought a ps2 the games I've played over the years have been a variety but I love the classic s I'm going back to play old games as I enjoyed them back then but my favourite is crue ball for the mega drive and flipnic on the ps2 keep up the good work and keep on rocking! !
You're 100% correct. One of the reasons the system failed (too bad, it's one of my favorite systems) is it was notorious among developers for being too difficult to program for. A lot of companies skipped their chance for a Saturn port of their game when porting their multiplatform titles.
one of my favourites is the dreamcast collection (pc xox and ps2 ) it includes bass fishing, sonic dx, crazy taxi na d space channel 5. its also very cheap to get ( found mine for the oc for 1 euro sealed at an electronic store
My favorite compilation of all time has got to be the original Namco Museums for PS1. I really wish they'd release a compilation of the compilations or even just put them all on PS1 Classics or something. It was so cool how they presented all the games in an actual 3D museum that you could walk around and see all the artwork and things associated with each game. All of the newer Namco Museum releases since have been disappointments to me simply due to their lack of an 3D museum feature. I understand that's a really clunky way to get to the different games but just having it, even as an optional feature would be awesome-although having a few games that you could only get to by discovering hidden areas inside the museum would be pretty awesome also.
And as an honorable mention, here are some awesome compilations that I own with less than 5 games included: The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (GameCube) Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (SNES) Sega AGES (Saturn) World Heroes Anthology (PS2)
A great game collection. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the XBOX 360 (where I'm playing it) and PS3. You get the Substance version of MGS2, Subsistence version of MGS3, a well done console version of the handheld Peace Waler, and since you have Subsistence content of MGS3, you get the original MSX Metal Gear 1 and 2.
Great video! Ever heard of the legend of zelda collectors edition? It has legend of zelda I and II, majoras mask, ocarina of time, a video showing all legend of zelda games, and a wind waker demo.
cool video MJR - I have almost all of those, some on PS2 but most are on my chipped and modded Xbox 1 with 15,000 mame and home console and C64 games. some sensational stuff right there mate, love the videos and the music, rock on buddy
When you do videos like this where you list games, please put the list in the description. Its helpful for us and it may actually increase views for the video, since it may help it rank for more search keywords. :)
Man you should really have a LOT of subscribers and a LOT of views. I'm from Venezuela and I love your videos, so I don't know why the world don't give you what you deserve. Well at least I can enjoy them. Keep it up JesúsMetálicoRocks. (...In Spanish it doesn't sound cool at all)
The Intellivision collection is great for quantity and bonus features, but emulating that controller to any modern controller is a nightmare. I hear the DS version works better with the touch screen, though. Great video, keep up the great work!
Even though it technically only has four games on it, you should check out Sonic Jam on the Saturn! It has Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles with it's ability to lock-on to the other three games! However, the big selling point about this game is the Sonic World, which a totally 3D area that Sonic can run around and complete little missions, as well as access the bonus content such as cheat codes, artwork, character bios, OSVs, videos, and a detailed history of the franchise up to that point!
Glad to see SNK Vol.1 make the list, that is a great set. You need to pick up Sega Classics for the PS2, some really great versions of old genesis games with updated visuals which were originally remade for the Saturn o believe. I love the version of Golden Axe on that set. Not really full of great games, but some interesting ones on the Sonic Gems collection, Sonic Racing and Sonic Fighters are so wacky they are good for a laugh.
Here are some compilations that I own that you haven't covered yet, just in case you needed some suggestions. BTW, I love your channel! I'm also a metal-lovin', microbrew swiggin', Seattle-native. 5 Games or Over Included: 6-PAK (Genesis) Capcom Digital Collection (Xbox 360) Data East Arcade Classics (Wii) Duke Nukem 3D: Kill-A-Ton Collection (PC) Kirby's Dream Collection (Wii) The Orange Box (360/PS3/PC/MAC) Street Fighter Alpha Anthology (PS2) Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World (SNES)
Did you know that if you pre order Black Ops 2 for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U and on the Nuketown level, if you shoot of all the manic-an heads in like 2 minutes, you have unlimited access to H.E.R.O, Pitfall, Kaboom, and River Raid! Also, nobody can kill you in the match if you do!
Unless you already have it you should totally get Sonic Mega Collection (the original and Plus edition), Sonic Gems Collection, and Sonic Classic Collection. It is a real bummer Sega couldn't include the S&K lock on games in the Ultimate Genesis collection but at least Mega collection includes Blue Sphere, Knuckles in Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles which is required to play the complete version of Sonic 3 (cont..)
I like to see the best arcade download games for xbox360 , I feel there is no good videos out there for this topic ! You do rock and I love your videos
great vid again. Have you seen a PS2 compilation called "Retro"? its the classics like Asteroids, Pacman etc but redone in a new style. Its nothing ground breaking but I picked it up cheap and it was fun.
i just picked up bit trip complete for the wii its pretty cool and challenging its a new school game with an old school look, also samurai shodown anthology is awesome.
I loved 6-pak growing up!!!!! It was great the first time I realized I could play 6 full games on one cartridge. I thought my uncle got it from Pizza Hut!
They should do a collection of the Castlevania games for the DS - my favorite "trilogy" in all of gaming perhaps. That would almost make up for the letdown that was Mirror of Fate at very least.
Oh my fuck, Nintendo NEEDS TO MAKE A Game compilation disc from their first arcade games-some of their latest classics! And no, I'm not talking about some small Mario X Zelda pack, I'm talking about some Nintendo Ips stuff. Give some Mario, Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero and many other classic in one package!
There is also a PS2/XBOX version of the Mega Collection as well.
...and Demon Attack is part of the Anthology for some reason. There are actually several games from Imagic, Absolute & even homebrews included. Bonus!
We have a couple guests lined up...but nothing is shot yet. However, you can look forward to several more in the coming months.
I don't have a 3DS yet... The game looks good & I've enjoyed all the previous ones.
Now you can add Rare Replay Collection to this list! 30 games, for 30 years, for $30!
Only downside is that its only 21 games on the disc, as you have to download all of the 360 games. Still a fantastic compilation of games with a ton of neat extras.
From reading the list, it's a shame none of the Wizards & Warriors games made it.

I have a soft spot for these compilation discs myself. Great video as always.
i was surprised how addicting neo turf masters was, great game.
Midway Arcade Treasures are my favorite and I'm glad you didn't miss that one...
Yes, all these collections are really superb. The Activision Anthology is a must-have! And yes the Wii version of the SNK collection is better.
PC game collection:
Dungeons & Dragons Master Collection
Has Baldur's Gate I & II plus expansions, Icewind Dale I & II, Planescape: Torment, and Temple of Elemental Evil. Amazing list of top class games.
I did not know there were so many Compilation sets out there!! New Compilations as well for the PS3?? Golden Axe Warrior?? We'll I know a gift I'm gonna give my brother, just to play myself!!!
i agree, i have the sega genesis collection for my psp and its the perfect game for traveling. an assortment of great games to pass the time!
They actually look really good. You can can full screen them as well. I've had no problems.
A lot of these particular compilations are actually available on the PSP and make great carry around games when you are on the go. There versions play very well. The PSP hardware actually does quite a good job of the SNK classics collection i.e. I have not noticed any slowdown.
Gradius Collection on the PSP (Gradius I to IV and Gradius Gaiden). The Parodius Collection (only released in Japan) is also a great compilation.
every time I watched your compilation videos I feel the need to play the games on emulators!!
I'd like to cover PC game collections but 1) I don't have the big boxes for the them all, and I like to show them 2) it can be very time consuming to get all the old games working under Windows so I can capture game play footage. I'd like to cover them in the future, but it would take serious planning!

Screw it, they're all tied for #1 =)
Another high quality video Jesus, like this channel more and more each time I watch it.
Some great compilations on here Jason :-) by the way that Sega Master System looks awsome in the middle their !!
Just bought the Midway Arcade Treasures vol 2 and Taito Legends vol 1 thanks to your video.Keep on rockin
I love that these classic titles can have trophies/achievements tied to them now. Wish Nintendo would get on board.

The SNK classics is a GREAT disc full of games. I highly recommend it!
So good man, I love your videos.
@MetalJesus
Did you just display the Eternal Darkness case in the background? AWESOME!
Same here! I loves me some FPS, but I just play through the campaign. MetalJesusRocks, I love your videos; you always do a great job!
love this channel! so glad I came across it. c:
Yeah! Me too! :)
I use the Elgato video capture, which does 480 SD video capture of older consoles, and then it gets upscaled in Final Cut Pro X.
My first game I've played was dr.mario. lul. That game used to piss me off to no end. :) I enjoy your videos.
one of my favourites is the dreamcast collection (pc xox and ps2 ) it includes bass fishing, sonic dx, crazy taxi na d space channel 5. its also very cheap to get ( found mine for the oc for 1 euro sealed at an electronic store

Megamix tried to remake that, but it just wasn't as good.
And as an honorable mention, here are some awesome compilations that I own with less than 5 games included:

zelda collection gamecube.
I just picked up the sega collection the other day, having alot of fun with streets of rage and Alex Kidd
Some top choices again there matey - I'd forgotten about that current gen Genesis compilation so im going to have to hunt it out on the 360 :)
Great video! Ever heard of the legend of zelda collectors edition? It has legend of zelda I and II, majoras mask, ocarina of time, a video showing all legend of zelda games, and a wind waker demo.
Gradius Collection for the PSP is a lot of fun too.
What the hell man, Jesus? You Mentioned S.T.U.N Runner!! yay i remember playing that cab every sunday, still can't get passed the first level. Thanks.
Mabye abit out of place but I've noticed you look way better in these newer videos. Keep it up man, and as always - good video ;)
Sonic mega collection plus
cool video MJR - I have almost all of those, some on PS2 but most are on my chipped and modded Xbox 1 with 15,000 mame and home console and C64 games. some sensational stuff right there mate, love the videos and the music, rock on buddy

Aw sweet, you did every one of my recommendations except for the Namco Museums.
Man you should really have a LOT of subscribers and a LOT of views. I'm from Venezuela and I love your videos, so I don't know why the world don't give you what you deserve. Well at least I can enjoy them. Keep it up JesúsMetálicoRocks. (...In Spanish it doesn't sound cool at all)
Namco Museum Vol 1-5 on the PS1 due to the very cool interface and unlockables.
We need a new one of these!
The Intellivision collection is great for quantity and bonus features, but emulating that controller to any modern controller is a nightmare. I hear the DS version works better with the touch screen, though. Great video, keep up the great work!

Kirby's Dream Collection (Wii)
The Orange Box (360/PS3/PC/MAC)

Intellivision Lives is a good one too on Ps2. Classic Game Room did a good review of it.
excellent video. You going to be a VRGE again this year?
I need more food recipes for gaming tell the Drunkin Master to get to cookin.
Also this has been a great series enjoyed these 2 videos. Thank you
thanks MJ for this awesome video. Never knew there were so many of these. I have a few of them.
LMAO those KISS ducks on the shelf...my friend has them still in the box. XD
Unless you already have it you should totally get Sonic Mega Collection (the original and Plus edition), Sonic Gems Collection, and Sonic Classic Collection. Hey Metal Jesus, have you tried out Data East Arcade Classics on the wii?
Awesome as always, Jesus! Always look forward to your vids!
Have the mega drive collection Atari anniversary, activision, midway and namco battle museum.Always on the look out for a US Gold anthology.
They should do a collection of the Castlevania games for the DS - my favorite "trilogy" in all of gaming perhaps. That would almost make up for the letdown that was Mirror of Fate at very least.

I love River Raid on the Atari.
I can't tell you if it's good or not because I haven't personally tried it, but there's a Data East collection for the Wii as well
Konami arcade classics is worth checking out...some great stuff!
When is the next gamer eats coming? I really enjoyed that ^.^
Great video as usual! Always a joy to watch.
Great video! Love these so much variety.
