Love your show. You are the new VGG. Love Derek to but I really like the grass roots fixing stuff. I pray you and JT enjoy much success and happiness and keep up the good work!
Hopefully a helpful tip: those shocks look identical to my Monroe Coil-Assistance Shock Absorber. They're roughly 80 a set and help the leaf springs in carrying some of the weight. I love mine cuz my leaf springs were long dead and the coil shocks actually lifted the rear by 2 inches.
What a hidden gem of a channel this is 😂 This is the side of car culture that I love. Can’t wait to get a sh!t box I can fix up and customize on a dime. Speed doesn’t appeal much to me. Frugality, resourcefulness and self sufficiency does.
Brother, I been following since the gto. What I love is the cheap (actually cheap not rich people cheap) revivals. Along with the laughs and lessons. Thank you man 🤘
Ahhh feels good to come in from working on my 70s 3/4 ton square body in the cold and relax by watching someone work on a 70s 3/4 ton square body in the cold.
It's always a privilege to watch a master craftsman at work. I need to invest in some self-tappers, I've no idea how I've managed so long without them.
Great video Dalton. Really seemed to have upped your game since the rolled runner, both seemed to be having fun again as well as editing style. Keep all the awesomeness coming.
Love your channel and your humor and attitude towards difficult things is assume. I read somewhere you were an Electrician at GM ,if so Hello from an Electrician from Ford truck plant but my first love is Square body's .I have an 81 original paint, seat almost no rust had her since 82 . Love JD's part of the videos ,awesome to see father teaching son, lost my Dad last year he helped me do everything and taught me even more. Keep it coming
Your entertainment is classic and becoming my favorite channel. Curious if the dented front bumper can get some love with all that freshly coated I mean replaced parts maybe we can give it some love ❤️
You and your brother have the same sarcastic banter that my brother and I have. Always nice to see y'all do the work together for some good entertainment.
Yeah you did all the right things to the old girl. And I learned something new about tearing apart a front end. Thanks for the breakdown. Keep up the great work
Well all that effort probably means this is becoming a barret jackson restoration channel 🤣🤣🤣, had a good laugh at your expense Dalton. Great video as always man, I'm excited to see this snowmobile adventure you guys are going on 💥🤙🏻
A very entertaining video well worth your time to watch and maybe learn something in the process! Dalton, love when JD helps! My daughters took that role while my son just got into sports! Everyone has to go their own way.
yup me too working in the cold on my 3\4 square never be done redoing changing adding , with all the time screws metal painting shocks tie rods are good things to fix great job
I had to replace the fan clutch on my 70 Thunderbird in 1981. A one hour job that took 2 days. My helper said "while you have the radiator out..." but good fan, a shot of R12 and that was a great summer in Plymouth Mass.
I do love this channel. A man and his boy, doing things on cars and trucks, the way we all do things on cars and trucks. If it works, is it a dumb idea?
Always face your Ding Dong outwards!!! Hahahahaha that's hilarious Dalton. Yo Dalton, you are a square body rebuild genius brother. I love these truck vids. Keep up the great work!!!
Glad you're doing great with the subscribers, I was there with you when had 2500 or less subscribers. holy goat 🐐!!!.... I'm glad your brother is with you! Your son's a good cameraman and a side mechanic.
Yes-- I'm a big Pontiac fan!!!! Volkswagen ,Ford , Mopars Chevy and even French cars and Subarus..... I owned-failed on... All.... heavy equipment small engines I've done a lot of. have not worked on helicopters or jet airliners! (Yet)
20+ year mechanic here, rubber undercoating is the worst because it traps moisture and will cause it to rust from the inside out. You should look into woolwax. I've used it for years and it does an amazing job. you can get it in black. It will keep moisture out and self heals.
@@PoleBarnGarage LOL. I suggest woolwax for the stepside. a gallon of black is about 30 bucks and will cover the underside with plenty left over for another 'turd. It can be brushed on as well as sprayed on.
21:28 how I've had good luck getting seized brake line nuts free is to first clean the nut, tube, and exposed threads with a wire brush or wire wheel in a drill. Soak with deep creep or pb blaster then heat the nut with a small propane torch. Then spray with more pb blaster or deep creep. The heat will pull the penetrant into the threads. It should break loose with a good line wrench. If it won't come loose or the nut is rusted to nothing, just cut the line off at the T fitting and remove the nut with a socket and install a new section of nicop line. Nicop is a bit more expensive, but well worth it. It bends and shapes easily without kinking, and will never rust or corrode.
I definitely love the good old factory wheels that those old square body trucks came with back in the day!!! They definitely look good on the truck for sure!!!!
I joined the page when you were swapping engines on your fathers bronco. I’m glad to have joined the PBG community, love this page, always looking forward to a new video.
@@PoleBarnGarage if you get here by about noon, things should be settled down. WIsDOT plows are pretty good at keeping Interstate clear. City plows here just gave up for the night because kids are all back home from school.

Amazing video brother so excited for this summer hoping to catch up with all my favorite TH-camrs like yourself and Vise grip and junkyard digs at one of these events this year
Gear lube, specifically GL5 gear lube, has sulfur additives which smell terrible. For my manual transmission, I have to make sure that I do NOT use the same oil as the diff. It takes a GL4 gear oil, which does NOT have these additives. The additives in GL5 will eat "yellow metals" like bronze & brass etc. Some transmissions, like mine, have those metals in them. Almost every time I do a transmission fluid change I smell that nasty smell and know that they put the wrong fluid in.
Gear Oils like your GL4 and GL5 grades are designed to operate in systems that put the oil through extreme pressure situations, not pressure like hydraulic systems but from the squeezing between some types of gears (hypoid etc). The additives to meet these requirements have a lot of sulfur in them and it's the sulfur that gives it the rank smell. I used to get covered in 80/90 on the regular when I was working on vehicles in the Army, I developed a fondness for the smell actually.
I said it before , but it's worth repeating ..... you had me at Big Block 💖 Christ !!!! That thing sounds MINT , with those headers But seriously , glad you're upgraded , ye olde Swanny too front line uses Tall deck heads , on a 454 ?? 24:25 Gear lube stinks because of the sulphur compounds that are a constituent of the additives included to make gear lube resistant to breakdown from extreme pressure and shear forces on the meshing surfaces of the gears.
I just watched your video when you cut the top of the blue van out to fix the floors in the orange dodge truck. Cut the top off behind the front seats and at the bottom of the back windows, put a tarp in it and make a swimming pool this summer. It would be epic.
I'm loving this channel 😂 You went entirely to far taking the tire and breaks off the front. Just pull dust cap and drive flange off. Tighten spindle nut back up. Wala....good nuff for a chev.
