I still say this was one of the best resurrection series I’ve watched, I can’t believe how great that trucked turned out, Kevin is definitely jealous 😂
“The internet says this truck is unrestorable and that’s why we’re going to restore it!” We need to keep Pole Barn Garage up to these challenges. Great job Dalton,I’d be proud to drive this gem.
Ahhh. “The Saga of the Silver Dollar Chevy” What a fantastic movie! The story of a man with true grit and determination, great skills, and a bit of money, taking a K10 destined for the grave and transforming it into a Mecum Auction ready work of art!!! 5 ⭐️s
I have to say that whenever I recommend someone this channel. I recommend this series, because anyone who can take that rusty pile of sheet metal, and turn it into what it is today should not only earn my respect, but the whole of the internet's. The future unlike burned out halogen bulbs is very bright!!
Brother, you really are a credit to the car community, its obvious you really know your stuff and how things should be done but also realise that cars need to be driven. The Silver Dollar Chevy really is proof of yours and JD's abilities and passion. Great job boys. 🤘👍
I'm a die hard Ford guy, but watching you and JD put that square body back together is inspiring to the car hobby we hold dear. Excellent work as always, Dalton!
Not a square body guy at all, but i watched every minute (now twice!) of you turning that junker into a jewel - very satisfying and inspiring! Not sad at all that you sold it - you’ve passed the torch…really enjoy your channel!
You did a lot of work on a truck that probably would have be considered a parts truck by most people. This truck was my introduction to your channel and I'm glad to be here. It's good to see it finished and getting a new life. I can't wait to see what's coming up next.
Man what a great video, watched all the episodes of the silver dollar chevy but seeing it all come together in one long video was great! Glad it went to a good home cannot wait for the 4x4 van video been following along on FB posts very excited to see the outcome!
One of my best friends in this life had this body style Chevy. He lived his truck and spend many days working on it to get it looking new. Unfortunately one night he and one of his friends crashed it. He lost his life in that truck that night. I miss him. The worlds certainly missing one of the good guys. This video reminded me of Chris. Thank you for letting me relive some of the good days he and I had together.
Loved this one! Hate it had to go so quickly. Would have like to see you and your son ride it and keep it! I love it when old cars/trucks actually get painted, even if it is tractor paint. One of the best attributes about your channel! There are so many channels going through mechanics and doing will it runs but not ever doing that final touch. Great vid
I watched the whole series but after seeing this video began to understand how much work was put in to resurrecting this truck. Thanks for the great videos and all your work Dalton.
This is my favorite video of a completely clapped out rust bucket looking really really nice. I’ve followed this build from the beginning even when Kevin first got it and i thought to myself that thing is done for
Watching this restoration from beginning to end the first time around was delightful, and so is this vid. I love love LOVE these old squarebodies so much. Thank you for giving that old girl a new lease on life. Also I put one of your stickers on the visor of my 07 Mustang and it instantly got like 5 more hrsprs btw.
I have a 74 K10 that started out in similar shape. I have one side done with new cab mount, inner and outter rockers, cab corner, kick panel and floor pan all done. As soon as firewood cutting season is over I'm going to start on the other side. This series has rekindled my motivation. Thanks Dalton!
Dalton thank you for keeping it real and remiding us that its more important to just save it and get it going within our ability. This truck was a great save and I enjoyed following your build of this truck.
That is the best video I have seen you do. You actually made it look nice and took your time and did not drive the crude out of it at the end. Great job! I am impressed.
Ahhhhhh, the Silver Dollar, probably the best "hold my beer" series on YT in a very long time i know of from start to finish. The Silver Dollar is the reason i subscribed and got a membership to support the internet getting proven wrong. And along the way i fell in love with Jaaaags, Candy Vans & LTD's out of principle. 👌🏻🤘🏻🇺🇸
It's been a while since we saw that project and it was great to see all the highlights of the build from start to finish. I'd completely forgotten just how rotten that cab was at the beginning - and it was truly shocking, eh! Seeing you give the engine a rev as you and JD were getting ready to go for the first drive and watching the cab twist and compress so bad that the door moved out of the remains of the frame {{SHUDDER}} Haven't seen scuttle shake that bad since my mates and I cut the roof, pillars and door tops off a rotten old Cortina and try to drive it down the road......and your truck has a frame under it! Compressing the whole series into an hour and a half (more or less) would indeed take an effort. Which bits to leave in or cut, all the splicing of the bits into a new video and leaving enough to ensure it flows. Worth doing and releasing several months after the final episode (as you've done here), but not something I'd do myself with every project due to the sheer effort required....and it would be selfish of us as the viewers to expect it. Glad the truck has gone to a good home. You're right - getting the next generation interested in the old cars is the only way the vehicles will continue to be around. Glad both you and I have young ones that we've managed to infect with the bug! All the best
Excellent resurrection on this rusty old square body. Just further proof REAL men don't need overpriced $80k trucks when diehard fellas like you bring these trucks back to life. Looks 100% top notch! 👍
absolutely awesome build!! saw already the partial process. love the style and how you went about it. budget, relaxed and still a bit OCD. lol. more resto- or roadstorations like that please. highly satisfying to see 'em rescued and resurrected
Being in NY, all we have is rust buckets of junk. It’s inspiring knowing how bad off a truck can be and still be restored by a skilled hand! Love the videos!
I'm shocked he dare restore it with that much effort. It started off at Kevins place as like a what - $400 truck? Basically most people would take out the engine and rims off and throw the rest away.
my favorite series on youtube for a long time now! would sit down with my dinner and force my fiance to watch with me every time a new episode would come out - you inspired me to start hunting for my own junkers to get out on the road again. The only problem is i fall in love with every one i get 😭
Outstanding result dude 👌👏 You literally managed to polish and put a shine on a turd!!! 😂 Loved the longer video btw, must have taken an age to complete 👍🙏
Dude! Seeing all that work in one video is pretty impressive. That thing was a horrendous bucket of truck shaped rust, and most people would've considered it beyond saving. But you dug in and persevered until it was a properly presentable rig to be proud of. Cheers to you, and thanks for reminding us that where there's a will (and enough delusion), there's a way.
So Im guessing that silver dollar is worth more than the square body? But those light weight racing fenders are the bomb! Must save 50 lbs or more. And the flow thru ventilation in the cab is definitly a highly sought after factory option. Great score!
You brought the Silver Dollar Chevy back from the grave, showed it more love than the fellas that built it on the line, and made sure it went to a good home. Hell yeah that’s what the car hobby is all about.

Awesome video, your determination paid off on the silver dollar chevy. Definitely inspiring, keep up the good work. Love the father son collaboration on the projects!
I watched this one in all the segments you did on it, since you got the truck from Kevin. This was a nice collective video from start to finish on the truck and I think you did a great job with it. Solid content. Keep up the good work! I love your restoration style and your attitude towards people trying to tell you that you're doing it wrong.
I, for one like that you took the time to explain each step. So many videos on the subject are just people half-ass explaining what to do and then jump cut to the end result that they clearly paid someone else to do.
Your channel is awesome. It's for sure in my top 3 on YT. The best part is I watch what you do and I can see that it is something I am able to do. Thanks for sharing what you do.
I watched each one of the videos on the Silver Dollar Chevy. I liked the build so much I watched this review of all that rust removal and mayhem. I still can't believe how nice the truck turned out. I mean, you replaced the whole lower half of the cab. You are a wizard at turd polishing.
Nice to see some of the things I missed before on this truck. Well done in keeping it from becoming an even longer video than it was. I enjoyed how you put it together.

Excellent!! I really enjoyed seeing the start to finish product!! If nobody has said it...... and for those who have never done auto body work..... you worked you butt off on this one!! Great Job Brother....Looks Fantastic!!!!
