I like the vehicle flipping idea there's too many guys that have 40 cars laying around that they "rescued" or really just dragged home to rot in there own yard with no plan to do anything with

No Concord restorations but he gets em back on the road & drives them...

We had several 70s Mopars when I was growing up, and I can say everything shown here is accurate. I still haven't come around to seeing 70s trucks and Valiants as collector vehicles. My mom hated being seen in them, hated the doors opening when they shouldn't, refusing to open when they should, and being late places when dad had to get under the hood to make a few inevitable "adjustments".
Of course, Dad steadfastly refused to park them until they were all the way "used up". Mom's joy at finally seeing one shoved out to pasture only lasted as long as it took dad to find another one and begin the cycle all over again 😆

As much as I like to see a project go smoothly, you learn so many new things watching a video where everything is messed up and you don't want to spend too much money to fix it. Loved watching you work on this old truck; I know I would have lost a lot more money if I was trying to do same thing.

Every time I work on my cars or trucks something goes wrong. That is just shade tree mechanic work at its best. JD is a great helper, and he is learning a lot! Great work Dad!

Leaving my wrench on the other side of whatever I'm working on is the story of my life too. So, as a not so idiotic idiot, I now use 2 wrenches or ratchets. I have 2 IDENTICAL tool sets, and I put them on EITHER side of what I'm working on. One under the power barn on the ground, one up inside the power barn. One in the interior of whatever I'm doing one on the exterior. Cost me twice as much ONCE when I bought an identical set of tools (wrenches ratchets sockets the whole 9 yards) but it's probably saved me 100 hours in forgetting my tool on the other side. Yup.
edit: YES! Berryman's B-12, THE Italian tune up in a can! (I'm an Italian American I can say that!! hahaha) GREAT job on that carb after the glue went through it!!

Yes! my grandpa has a mint 1975 Dodge D-100 with only 64k original miles and has been sitting in a barn since 98 and is still in the barn. With no rust or nothing. It has the exact same thing engine, transmission and all, ofc it is a 75 but they are virtually the same. The thing that caught my eye on the truck is it was used in the U.S. Navy which I find amazing. So you doing a video on another 70's D-100 I love! Now I have some inspiration to dig it out and get it running and fully restore! Keep up the good work!

The giant wrench appears to me to be an air hose wrench from a locomotive or caboose which brakeman/switchman use to change out the brake line air hoses when they fail over the road. They also work as sledge to move lever handles or put a beating on a panel etc. Really enjoy your TH-cam Channel.

Many years ago I had a 76 D100 short bed 4x4 with factor custom paint. ( look it up it was a real thing) I bought a fresh rebuilt surplus police interceptor 440 from the county auction. Dropped that in place of the 400 pos it had in it and had a lot of fun for many years. But it was a Dodge😢, lots of starter and electrical issues. The stock starter has a copper flat washer in the solenoid for a contactor and when all it would do is go click with the key meant it was time to take it out and turn the washer over or sand it smooth and put it back. The trucks final straw with me was with the fuse panel under the glove box cover that was always blowing fuses, because it was a Dodge and I always replaced them with whatever metallic thing I could find because a fuse would just blow anyway. When the panel started to sag down into the dash from the heat it created with no fuses to pop it was time to let it go to someone else. That and the 440 had brutal torque and over time I broke the front and rear ends and gears and axles what ever. Snapped the trans mount adapter off. Blew reverse on fresh rebuild Trans the first weekend out. But it was a fun truck I almost miss it. Lol

I like the idea of flipping some of the cars that get revived. I know this is an old vid but i do think that if you have the viewership that you do there are Definitely people who would by some of these and continue there restoration or enjoyment and there not going to sit around as much. I know that since i started watching your channel I now want a nice old classic to wrench on and enjoy. Thank you for all the content new and old.

    The grill's pretty nice.
I think the comically oversized wrench is for some sort of oil platform rig application. The guy using it is called Weevil.

Best truck my dad ever had (and he let me learn to drive with it) was a 1977 Dodge with a slant 6. Metallic light green in color. Bench seat, headlight dimmer in the floorboard, roll up windows. Great truck, tough truck. I miss it.

Poor dude, he actually found a key for it....but jammed up the ignition cylinder with a screwdriver. It might be wrong but I laughed so hard when he tried putting the key in and it backfired on him. When he went, "dang it" then the reel cuts to him placing the key on the dash, I lost it🤣🤣

Nice! My Dad had a 1977 Dodge D100! Slant six three on the column. We hauled massive loads of firewood with it. 1st gear would pull you out of anything. It revved kinda high on the highway so he usually kept it below 60MPH !😂😂😂😂😂

That big ole wrench looks like the ones they used to use on the fire hydrants to open them up back when I was a kid.
