i find Furnace Golems are like the stronger, refined version of the Fire Giant (wonky hitboxes) with gimmicks not unlike the Wandering Mausoleum (can only be defeated in a specific way often not available to AI)
for some reason the Golem didn't spam it's strong attacks in that fight agaisnt Radahn though, it woudn't have been that close if it'd kept stomping with both feet like in other fights

I think its because the bosses/enemies target the furnace golem's head and not its legs. So most of their attacks keep missing since they dont go for the legs at all. Any hit there is just incidental.
To understand, lore wise, why the furnace golem are so strong. They carry the corpses of thousands of warriors, and a bit like warrior jars, it increase their strenght exponentialy the more they have inside of them

it's interesting to see this fights because for gameplay reasons the bosses are nerfed a lot, so it begs the question, how nerfed are we, the tarnished? I mean, there is no way the furnace golem survives radahn falling in to him as a meteor, I like to think that a "lore accurate radahn" would probably not break a sweat against this golems so what about the tarnished, the one who slays gods?

This isn’t even the strongest one, there are two ones that have armored legs which take 0 damage. One in Scadu Altus and one in Charo’s Grave, as far as I’m aware Charo’s Grave has higher scaling so the one there is the strongest.

I don’t mind the normal fire golems in this dlc but the ones that are armored at their legs and can’t be damaged unless you throw fire pots at them are stupid as heck who thought that was a good idea I ran out of fire pots because I didn’t have much and died after throwing some now I have no ingredients to make more so your telling me I have to scavenge ingredients just to kill a non boss enemy

Radan is just a full high powered Canon build. For how glitchy janky the fight was for me I honestly hate this boss fight from him turning invisible to being able to hit me form a hundred feet away with a normal slash attack he was aiming at a wall and one shotting me with it from full health with 17 blessings multiple times he spammed the fly in the sky attack over and over and in phase 2 spammed the huge AOE attack over and over not letting me get close to attack to the NPC summons I thought was a must to fight with to complete their quest just staying outside the fog the whole first phase until they was Teleported to the fight when 2nd phase starts sometimes he wouldn't take damage at all sometimes my character would just stand there until I was hit than let me roll or heal or just move I bought a new controller and it was still happening so it wasn't that also a few times he jumped up and started floating and I couldn't hit him but his hitboxes was working like he was right in front of me when he was floating above me those are the main janky glitches I experienced in my time against the boss the time I killed him he was spamming lions claw over and over and over instantly for the whole first phase 2nd phase I think was normal he did spam the hell out of the attack you have to roll like 7 times to not get hit. From my experience this is one of the worst boss battles in souls history that includes indie games and I went through all that janky and glitches to get some bad weapons that the original is better and a very Meh spell... I'm on NG+ so maybe this time it will be better I'll come back to this if I don't experience any BS but for now it's a 1/10 boss fight
I hit it with a great sword 100 times and only did 25% damage to its health. How do people kill these bosses. I'm stuck on the crazy flame boss. It's attacks are so retarded omg. It has a 30 foot area of attack with it's damn flame stick and spams STUPID ass flames every where. I'm on journey 8 and it's been hopeless. Even with help with other summoned and my mimic tear. THEY BOTH DIE within 20 seconds LITERALLY. I also have 11 scad upgrades and 7 spirit upgrades and it's hopeless. 2 hits with 3000 hp and I'm dead. No matter what I do I have to keep fighting and fighting a boss 30-40 times or more. It tooke me 20 minutes just to kill a flame dragon at the first start. I counted 70 strikes. WTF is wrong with these devs ? Who decided .. YEAH lets give them all 80,000 HP to 120,000 HP for your weak ass tarnished with 2,000-3000 HP to fight? They all JUMP around like beverly hills ninjas with the cheesiest ass attacks I have ever seen....

This is partly because the golems hitboxes are trash vs other enemies because they can't target the legs properly
