@@marcusloveprotoss8510 No. For whatever weird reason, they deal enormous damage and have a ton of poise and health. Also, they have a few unique attacks that are devastating.

It's weird sometimes, I noticed in these fights. Some boss will hesitate to attack for some reason but when I fight them they just string these combos like crazy. Even if they stagger Bayle the will just walk or something. It feels like those moments were suppose to be input reads where the NPC's next action is based upon the player. Since there is no player action being done, it slightly slowing down their reaction.
tbh the fight from our perspective is very different. We can easily die in a couple of hits from strong bosses and have to keep our distance and time our attacks, That isnt an issue with bosses though since they have a wide variety of attacks, many bosses could hit bayle when most players would be running so that makes a huge difference.

also bosses behave differently when you lock onto them, it's how they "see" you. enemies can't lock onto each other

Rollercoaster of a fight
I think the jagged peak drake isnt taking the full damage because its an open world enemy that only takes full damage if there is a player engaged in combat. Essentially the same when you see a camp of soldiers fighting a dragon in some areas of the game. They only start taking full damage once the player has engaged the enemies.

@@anom2619 Nah Bayle is only weak against pierce damage, and as a drake he has high resistances against most things.
@@KniGht1st1 thats weird because i was using the ancient dragon lightning strike incantation and it absolutely destroyed his health, there wasnt a lot of moments to get off a full charge but when i did it did around 17k damage with a +10 communion seal and only 28 faith it seemed like an insane amount of damage
@@anom2619 Not sure, wiki shows that. The high damage might be related to your equipped charms, and some of ancient dragon incarnations are pretty busted in general.
With how often Bayle gets stance-broken, it is almost like his lack of another leg plays a part in how he struggles in some fights. Big boy can't keep his balance.

Weird to see Romina (by far the easiest boss in the DLC) managing to eek out a draw against Bayle (curse him)

I strongly disagree that romina is the easiest lol, for me relanna was the easiest so far
when bayle fought radahn i was like "no way he gonna beat him especially with his ridiculous 2nd phase"... didn't even get him there.
also ancient dragon man was just your average player fighting him.
He has so many cool flashy attacks yet so less damage and many just miss because opponent is too small.
how can it be that the second strongest boss loses so fast at the final boss?, my opinion, Radahn is overpowered!

That particular drake is extremely resistant to other dragon damage. It’s the one that fights in the pit. If you look carefully you’ll see Bayle was hitting him for like 289 a hit. None of his moves are anything like that.
@@andyl8055 I know, but it's still kind of funny to see somebody like bayle who can destroy every boss in a base game including malenia if he dodge's her aeonia, to lose into some generic looking dragon who's using his own lighting against him
@@user-fg6xg5fd4v it's a dragon in Jagged Peak. It's one of the Dragons that survives Bayle's hunt for other dragons. You can even see it fighting other dragons. I think the dragon itself takes after its father.

Yeah, basic Drake attacks, but it's unique in a way that it has Ancient Dragon lightning, the additional Charge move the Drakes get from the DLC, and it was fighting another drake already, makes the world seem alive.

The Jagged Peak Drakes... are they programmed to take less damage from other NPCs because of the two dragons fighting each other? They seem weirdly tough in every video with them, it can't be normal.
Honestly, the fact that Bayle came so close despite what looks like an immense one-sided factor speaks volumes. He was doing well less than half damage in comparison.

@@juuso2248 I tested it. It's 1 in 20 in Bayle's arena. He only wins if he does the continuous lightning spam attack twice.

About the laser part, bayle probably has something even more overpowered than midir's laser. His lightning stream did like, 19k damage to rellana lol
Solo 95% of all other bosses? Actually yes, he only lost to regular drake and fkin Radhan (damn, skadoodoo avatar too). Also DLC bosses sweeps basegame bosses

I know the giant chicken wyvern is a triple amputee, but the way NPCs talk about him, you'd think he was Midir, not mid-tier.
Bayle is honestly the best fight in the DLC
Honestly he needs more hp and give bayle some goddamn poise! Fucking senessax, an optional ancient dragon boss before we fight bayle is stronger, he literally has more hp than bayle (41k bayle 45k senessax) its stupid honestly.
Beat him within 7 tries, and thats without igon cause i forgot to summon him, i guess from just made bayle a spectacle-over-gameplay type of boss which is lame
