I worked @ a Guitar Center drum Dept for years & we used to do this exact thing all the time (intentionally playing the “worst” beats, fills & solos we possibly could...hard af to pull off if u can actually play)! Maybe bc it’s hilarious but maybe bc it’s fun to revisit how I/you/us all sounded at one point in time. I’m still the champion of that Dept, it’s all about NOT hitting the kick ‘n crash together, missing the heads & hitting the rims instead, dropping/tossing a stick & most importantly, speeding waaaaay up as quick as poss. Ta-Da! Ur welcome 😉 Since I play guitar, bass & keys too it’s something I do to laugh & blow off steam now but we were doing this (too much lol) back in 2006-2009, so, just sayin...FIRST! The problem with that bad drum solo is that the drums themselves sounded really good and were were mic'd, eq'd and compressed really well and the pure nonsense sounded fairly professional. The drums would need to sound probably a lot worse.
