I was completely out of time and the performance was a shambles, the singers told me I was a shit drummer and I should quit. I'm so glad i didnt listen to them because now i can play drums, guitar and sing with a intermediate understanding of piano, now I just graduated with a degree in music and sound production most of this was self taught. Keep on pushing lads and let this be your fuel to greatness

Instead of having a bully, I was my own bully. Tried to quit art cold turkey last year, so I could fulfill more in my life. Deleted all my socials & art online, and picked up cooking, workout, studying to drive, etc. Felt better about myself, but I slowly missed the joy that art gave. I was too depressed to draw for months, yet when I came back, my skills somehow got better. I felt like I’m attaining more balance in my life, and I can stay true to my passion without worry. You’re never a true artist in anything until you persevere through your lowest points.

Back in 66 we started Hang On Sloopy at a 7th grade talent show the same way. Drummer hit his cymbal, which fell and rolled down to the first row. We kept going only to have my Princeton amp blow and catch fire. Almost 60 years later, we're still playing in bands and laughing at the great memories. Keep going boys. Great times and great girls await.

1st off, props to you guys for having the courage to get on stage in front of a crowd. 2nd, equipment malfunctions are a part of playing a live gig (so don't sweat it) besides, when you're big and famous you'll have a staff of dudes to assist with picking up stuff when it falls. I have been gigging with a band for over 20 yrs and I van tell ya, shit happens. The important thing is to just keep going. We have had speakers fall off of their stands had people vomit on our monitors, broken guitar strings and our drummer got wildly kissed by a chick in the middle of a song and that's just to name a few things they have unexpectedly happened while playing live. Just imagine when you guys are sitting around twenty years from now telling exaggerated stories of stuff that happened this will be your first blooper story LOL! Don't let this incident scare you away from following your musical dreams like I said earlier you got on stage in front of all those people and that's the hardest part a of being a musician

Most music stores don't have stands that would do that. I guarantee you his dad turned up his nose at the price of all the keyboard stands at the music store and then bought the 19 dollar one from Amazon.
